I'm not sure what you can sue for. [snip long blahblah[/i] You are one, maybe you have not told anyone that and you are now pissed that your "secret" is out, but is not there fault that you have been lying to/not telling people what you do.

Invasion of privacy? Strip clubs are pretty much public places, so I don't know that you really have/had and "expectation of privacy"

Here is an analogy. Lets say that the local tv station or some cable news or maybe some show, "this old house" or like that is doing a spot having to do with home construction, they get the contrators permission, go to a site and they show some workers, one of the guys they show swinging a hammer is some guy that was a big time stock broker or lawyer or whatever, he lost that job some time ago but has not told anyone yet. Now because he was seen on TV his secret is out. Now maybe he is pissed that everyone knows he's "just a lowly construction worker" and has some serious explaining to do to the wife who he has been lying to, but can he sue the TV station for "outing" him?

These are pretty weak assumptions, starting with the assumption that I'm pissed because my "secret" is out. Calling me a liar was a nice touch.

A dancer and a framer may both be independent contractors but the basis of your analogy fails right there. The framer is not paid for a performance nor holds any expectation of pay by an audience. I do. Try this analogy on for size; Drew Carrey is doing a show at the Ritz and a television crew films his performance and airs it after specifically stating that they will not. If you prefer complete accuracy, compare it to a local comedian who was told that the cameras only wanted a shot of an unidentifiable comedian from the back, to show the tv viewers that the club had a comedian without showing which one, and the comedian would not have performed otherwise if they had not assured his privacy.

For further clarification to everyone else, the club was informed that no faces would be shown. Customers and dancers alike voiced their displeasure at having cameras on them; customers were leaving and the dancers (including myself) were refusing to go on stage. To get us up on stage so they could film, the crew had the DJ announce on the mike that no faces would be shown, in addition to telling the management and the bouncers that they were not showing faces.

Have you spoken to a lawyer, Lilith? I think you can get free advice from online lawyer sites... I did it when I was in a custod battle for one of my dogs... They gave great legal advice (and were real lawyers.)
