This sounds like it might be fun - there are some ladies from this board that I really admire and want to meet ;)
I just have a couple questions about stripperfest though; is it mostly dancers & their so's? or are there a lot of customers there? and if there are a lot of members who are customers, um, I don't want so sound like a 'prima-donna', but... is there going to be a lot of guys here trying to hit on strippers?
Is it better to come with a girlfriend dancer or a boyfriend?

Hey, just in general...would you all prefer staying in the city center, or closer to O'Hare?
I hate driving downtown so I'd prefer O'Hare, but I'm easy.

There's a lot of places I wouldn't mind hitting between here and Chicago and I've already got the 23rd-26th weekend booked for leave at work.
I was still planning to head to Colorado, but hey nothing is set as far as destination yet. We shall see.

I'll have to defer to Venus as far as the guest list, and to others as far as the previous StripperFest, but from what I gather it will be a mixture of customers, dancers, SOs, and even kids. Just a bunch of people, with this site in common, getting together in person and hanging out. (And yes, at some point the adults will end up in a strip club, it would be wrong not to.) I wouldn't stress too much about it.
I hate driving downtown so I'd prefer O'Hare, but I'm easy.
Well I'm sure we'll be spending a bit of time downtown so it may be easier for getting around, if a bit more expensive. But when it's time to fly out it would sure be convenient not to be in rush-hour traffic on Monday. Just food for thought.

For the most part, yes. The majority of the reserves are dancers with SO's. There are some non-industry people booking to come, but for the most part...everyone is cool. ;)

The customers who have planned to come are not the type to hit on the dancers (from what I can tell). There will probably be flirty banter back and forth, but for the most part, the guys that are coming that are not in the industry are just there to have a good time and put a face to the online personality. ;)
Is it better to come with a girlfriend dancer or a boyfriend?
It's better to bring them both. heh Really, it's up to you. If you want to bring a dancer friend instead of the SO, that's your choice. We're all just going to be hanging out and having a great time...so what ever you are comfortable with will be fine with everyone else.

Well, if you don't like driving downtown, you're better off BEING downtown. Unless you prefer taking the train...then it would be a little more inexpensive to stay in Rosemont (by O'Hare). I'm working on getting prices and deals, etc from as many hotels as I can...I'll be posting that info by early next week.

Hey, the last couple of posts in Blade's "bored" thread in the Pic Post got me thinking.....
We need Stripperfest '05 T-shirts, yes? With our names on the back?
who's up to the challenge?

This is how it was in Providence last year, and I imagine it will be the same. People have far less testicular fortitude in person than they do with the anonymity provided by the keyboard and monitor, and that's reflected when meeting in person. No one was an ass at the last SF, and from my conversations with other attendees, no one made any obnoxious advances--at least I don't remember being obnoxious. :D
Now, that said, you have to watch out for girls like Trix... ;)

Mojo...are you still coming to the Blues Fest? The SWF is going to be from the 23-26, but I would be up for a party weekend during Blues Fest as well. I am sure that some of the locals here would be up for meeting up with you then, as well. Let me know!

Have you thought of Excel Inn, on Milwaukee Ave., Prospect Hts.? Altho not "down town", its a quick jump from hi way to there. It's a a clean cheap decent place, not fancy. Daily "continental b-fast".

Well, not far from there, & still very downtown accessable, & w/indoor pool, & some in-room whirpools, is Best Western Des Plaines Inn, 847/297-2100. It's a little more pricey. They also have wireless internet hookup. & continental b-fast. Newer place, very nice, have stayed there.;)

If we're wanting to hit the nightclubs, we should stay downtown. If we're wanting to make a couple rooms Party Central, we should be closer to O'Hare for those flying in and because it is normally a lot cheaper.

02-26-2005, 10:13 AM
Well, dear, in my opin. I'd opt for near O'Scare (airport area). The down town hotels are a ripoff, pricewise. & some a/p area ones are too, but at least you CAN get a deal in the airport area. That's been my exp., anyway...

Hmmm. If we stay in the O'hare area and go to night clubs downtown, We'll have to add in Cab fees.

Just FYI, the nightclubs in the suburbs are just as good and in a lot of cases better than those downtown. Not to mention they don't rip you off with huge cover charges and outrageous drink prices. All hotels (whether downtown or suburbs) will tell you where the nearest nightclubs are to them if you call them and if you tell them the type of club you're looking for (please, please, please not country), they're usually able to do that as well. In fact, some hotels have their own nightclub thus all partying can be done in one location, no cab fees (or parking fees if someone's driving), no one gets lost, and Blade cannot as easily go on a killing spree without people wondering where he is. And, no, I don't buy it that he's a vampire and "needs" to do that. :P

Well, if you are worried about "door charges" to hit the night club...I am sure that I can get us on some VIP Lists where we can get in for free.
Also, I have a shit load of free passes to my club (VIP's) so the door charge to there is waived (on Saturdays, the charge is $20...which is a table dance ;) ).
I'll have as much posted here as possible by Wednesday next week. I'll reserve a block of rooms at two different hotels...one by O'Hare and one in the city...you can all pick which one you all would like to stay at.

sorry, but this is a fallacy. The suburban "clubs" are exxedingly retarded. You will be much more likely to be mobbed by 21 year old drunk guys who have never been within 10 feet of beautiful woman (except at a strip club)
The downtown clubs are more sophisticated and the clubbers are older and more experianced. You will get hit on for sure, but not like the suburban clubs.

That's consistent with my experience of nightlife in Chicago. Actually, this theory pretty much holds true for any city I've been in. The best action is downtown. Hotel nightclubs tend to be uber-fromage.

Downtown, for sure. I have no need to travel to another city to enjoy its homogenized suburbs. And what's up with this Best Western crap? Come on, people, we're strippers. I stay in cheap hotels enough when I'm working, fuck doing it on vacation. I vote for the W (http://www.starwoodhotels.com/whotels/search/guest_rooms_amenities.html?propertyID=97509&flashContent=nonflash&).

I'm going to put off listing the hotels. A friend of a friend is a manager at the W in downtown Chicago. Going to see what kind of deal he'll hook me up with.
As of thus far, I am going to block 35 rooms. I think that should be more than enough. How about this? If anyone wants to room with someone else, shoot me a PM...I'll then put a list together and email to others. So...if you all want to try that, PM me. Oh, and for everyone...you NEED to PM me with your email addresses!!! It's easier to do a mass email.
Oh, and the dates of the hotel blocks will be from June 22 - 27. If you need to change the arrival/departure dates, you'll have to do that directly when you book your room. Of course, a few extra days in Chicago never hurt anyone. ;)
