There will never be a club in the Flathead Valley because of anti pornography laws there. Big Fork might have a chance, but you can't even buy a Playboy magazine in most of the cities up there.

For a "Dancing Vacation" Bozeman is awesome, as is Bend Oregon. Rapid City used to have clubs, but I think that all but one is gone now, and that one was kinda crappy to begin with. Anchorage can be a wonderful and beautiful place, but you have to be careful where you dance (stay away from Showboat especially). Northern Idaho has a couple of clubs. I haven't danced at either place, but I like the looks and atmosphere of The Torch Lounge better then at Stateline Showgirls.

For the Northwest, that is about the best resort type areas that have clubs nearby that I can think of. I have an anti Washington bent, so I don't know much about the clubs there.

Buffalo Station is located in Gallatin Gateway 7 miles on the left from four corners headed towards Big Sky, 12 miles from Bozeman.

Paris, Showboat has closed down in Anchorage.

I didn't know that. They have ads running here in Oregon in the current stripper magazines. Maybe they paid for the ads like a year in advance? Weird. I thought that they were out of business too, but I keep seeing the "now hiring" adds.

There is, however, the Showboat 2 in Fairbanks Alaska.

Just got back from Bozeman/Buffalo Station...I'll post a review soon.

It's fine there- excellent some days, dismal others. Averaged, it was pretty good money for the 3 weeks I was down there- avg. $600/night (net), with my worst being $270 and best being around $1000.

The thing is, there are so few girls there right now, that you can OWN the floor if you're a hustler. I don't know how long that'll last though...they've either got to get more girls coming in on a regular basis, or they'll have to shut down. So if you're gonna go, go soon!

Got to meet the lovely Paris- what a pleasure! You are truly awesome! AND, I made SO MUCH money off that costume you sold me- sweet!!!

More in review section later-

buffalo station is lame right now
might be the cold but i m not sure. on saturday night in december they counted 40 paying customers @ the door and 7 girls.
the most traumatic thing is the $50 house fee . whadda hell?
on top of it, mandatory tipout for 2 bouncers doorman manager and dj, for a total of $80 a night!!!the funny thing is :if you dont make it you need to write them a check!!!!!!!!
if you re late u get charged $ 25 late fee! many girls walked out w less than $100 on a saturday night!
definetly a stay - the hell - out - of there

I did horribly there too. The only clubs I will work in Montana have base pay and are in the Billings area. A bad week at Planet and Shotguns is at least $1200 including pay. Buffalo Station in 5 days wasn't even 1/2 of that. :( No business. NONE of the clubs I regularly book at have I done so badly.

I can work in the big city clubs if i want to work with fines and high payouts. Buffalo Station is slow because it has too many rules, contactwise and finewise, and no advertising. I made $1550 in 5 nights recently at Shotguns (I missed a night) and this is December. I can live with that.

Icky- that sucks about Buffalo Station. I was just going to ask how it was there. It's too bad that they lowered the dance prices- it cuts earnings by $10/dance. I really enjoyed it there in august, and made good $$. Paris, have you been back since they lowered the dance prices? How does it compare?

I actually think the $50 tipout is fair, since you don't have to pay out of your dances if you pay it. And tipping the bouncers...well, it's a small price to pay, I guess.

Tina, I'm going to send my photos in to Sagebrush- or do you recommend phoning/sending jpgs?

Cristalla

that kind of tip out can be fair in august with all the tourists and travelers but in the winter is slow most of the nights and 80 dollars tipout is steep. is not only bouncers , is dj, doorman , managers etc.
in billings you get paid 60 dollars a night and tipout is 60 so you get it back.
they also dont take $ from the dances except $ 10 from gold room.
you can walk in sagebrush sam s any time- the one in butte?- and get hired on the spot ,even if you weigh 200 lbs and miss all your teeth!!!

Scarlett, I would avoid Sagebrush Sams. Planet and Shotgun's would be ok, but I would wait until late February. Montana men aren't the cosmopolitan type, and money is tight the first part of the year.

I worked at Buffalo Station the week of 6/13, and sold 18 dances in 5 days, and only earned $655 for the week. NO ONE else did much better either. I am usually one of the top dance sellers in these small clubs, but guys that were here weren't spending. Horrible business and it was hard to get girls. The clientele they had was lousy. They do NO advertising and have NO billboards. WHY???? I'll NEVER go back.

I haven't been back since August, either. Although I really enjoyed my time there, I would not return if the dance prices drop.

The problem with Buffalo Station is that they have a huge competitor nearby. Teaser's has gobs of girls, low cover charge, low dance prices, and high contact levels. If you were a customer, which club would you go to? The customers don't come in for the top notch sound system or the custom decor, they want lots of action with hot girls for a reasonable price.

If the Buffalo Station wants the dancers to return, they need to lighten up on the security (a customer tapped me on the shoulder, and got a "talking to" by the bouncer to not touch the dancers ::) ). Although, I also agree that the $50 fee is reasonable for a high volume club, appearently the dancers can't afford to cover that fee right now. Buffalo Station can have their choice of any dancer in the state if they went back to the per-dance-charge instead of the flat rate, and eased up security.

The other downside is the ultra long shifts. One shift, 5pm to 2am, for everyone. Two shifts would work better, and allow more flexibility for their student dancers. Say 4pm-10pm and 8pm-2am. As it was the last time I was there, if a dancer wanted to work those shifts, it would cost her $100 house fee, plus tip out.

Also, the management does not allow the dancers to develop regulars. If we were caught exchanging email addresses, we were threatened with fines and firing. How is a dancer suppose to drum up business when it is slow, if she is not allowed to contact the customers?

I hope that Brandon is monitoing this thread and will see where changes can be made to help his business. This club has potential, but potential doesn't put food on the table.

FYI Lap dances have been $10 topless $20 nude in the VIP room for months now, and we made that change becasue of the dancers! They wanted it! We have about 7-10 girls per night, and have been really busy!! Girls are makeing great money and have nothing to complain about.

I've heard plenty girls lying about making more money than they actually do dancing, but girls don't lie to say they made less!, especially on a forum like this!!! LMAO, I know it was rhetorical, but I had to chime in! I'd bet my money that Tina is accurate;)

i don't buy the suggestion that late february is the soonest time to come to montana, and especially to billings. we've been swimming with snowmobilers from nodak and mn siince new years. just before that we were swimming in deer and elk hunters from the midwest. soon it will be spring skiers.

we simply have too many top-notch dancers concentrating their time at the planet for the money not to be absolutely primo. here's a few examples. lamai is from missouri, but works only at planet. becca moved here from sodak, she even bought a house in billings, and she works only at the planet. jetzell lives in boise, and dances only one week a month anywhere--at the planet. precious left great falls to work exclusively at the planet. these ladies all have with the assets and the smarts to work absolutely anywhere they choose. it would be insulting to them to suggest they aren't maximizing their earnings by working at the planet.

we offer very flexible scheduling, treat our ladies like adults, pay a handsome stipend, have reasonable stage fees, don't levy at all on dances, and have arranged discounted hotel rooms with free local health club privileges for our roadies. we'll even pay you a bounty for referring or bringing along a friend.

we are full nude, full liquor, and the government here can't tell you how close to dance or how to collect your tips. sure, we don't have 1000 customers a night, but we also don't have 100 other dancers on the floor for you to compete with.

so, ladies, take a working vacation in montana. book a week each at the planet and several of our sister clubs in montana. you just may end up wanting to stay.

First of all, this sounds like a job advertisement. We have a jobs board, and you may submit your ad there.

I would also like to know how many people paid a cover on each night of the week, last week on the exotic dancing side (I know you keep track, I have worked there before).

I have worked at your club in the past, and may be heading over there this spring. In my expierence working in Montana, I have always seen the winter as the "slow season".

Since 1998 (when I first started working inMonatana) my winter monthly earning average is in the neighborhood of $3000 for 12-15 shifts per month, my summer average in Montana has been closer to $7000 ( also 12-15 shifts per month).

Oh, and just out of curiousity... where does one go skiing in Billings? I thought the closest ski hills were at least 3 hours away (in Bozeman??).

hard to make money now with 8 girls a shift in planet ,versus the 4-5 girls a night of a while ago, and a mandatory fee that exceeds the paycheck...

Hello, I'm Becca, I'm not sure who used my name, but it is bullshit. Yes I have a home there, but the money I made at the club was not enough to pay for it. I travel to do photo shoots, modeling is making up for the clubs different. The club has good days, then it has bad, I will not say how I really feel about the club, but I can say I worked at a club in Phoenix, and there was no drama, with 15 to 20 girls, there is enough DRAMA to make you hate dancing at Plant. ....Becca

Hey Becca, long time no hear. I know Lamai at Planet. I worked bookings there for several years.

Money is hit and miss in Billings. I have had some good weeks and some shitty ones. Lots of casinos there and the clubs don't attract as many local regulars as in the Dakotas. Lots of passers by don't know the club is there because there in no sign. Locals don't really have a lot of disposable money there, and due to Montana being the "wild west", you get some real hicky customers in the club, who look like they came off of Gunsmoke. Many of the white collar or non cowboy customers that I see around town and at 24 Hour Fitness don't come in the club.

You know me as Lucy. As I have always said to management, that club has LOTS of potential IF it is remodeled and marketed like the top clubs are in Phoenix and other big strip club markets.

Fix the club up, advertise, take the stage out of the middle of the floor,so that guys are forced to sit at tables, run tabs, and not think that being at a strip club is only about stage tips, and become more "upscale", and if a higher level customer starts coming in that buys lots of dances, good looking girls will follow like magnets.

Swamper, who are you? Do I know you? You sound like Jim or management.
