I have been to all different types of stripclubs. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Along the way, I have met and seen all types of dancers. And I must say this: None of the ladies on the pink site, even come close to anyone I have met in these clubs myself. What does that mean? I dunno, maybe the dancers on the pink site are liars (lol we know they are), or maybe they are just the goodie two shoes dancers that just have an opinion of the way they would want their clubs to be (in other words they can't bitch to management, so they all get together over on the pink site to vent). I have also met many DJ's along the way. And just about all of them, for the most part, HATE dealing with the dancers. They just put up with them cuz they want a tip at the end of the evening! I have never met a DJ, that defends dancers the way DJhoser does. What am I rambling about? Who the hell knows? But those are my opinions! And FONDL, don't stop posting on the pink site. You know why? Cuz that is what they want! They really don't want us over there! So go there and post once in a while.
and you guys aren't liars? lmfao....now i dont know how many of the ladies on the pink site are liars, but i will bet as much money as i have that there are more liars over here....
goodie-two shoes dancers??? ya know, what never ceases to amaze me is the fact that some of you guys continue to down the girls who you give your hard earned money to.... these girls work hard for their fucking money and you should have a slight bit of respect for them.
The reason why you haven't seen any djs who like dancers is because you haven't met any djs who are even half of one good person.... most of the djs out there i wouldn't help out of a ditch if they were in it.... some people are made to try and take others down a notch... to hate and to enjoy the hate they receive....
from what i have read from djoser, he is a pretty damn good person all around, and he doesn't deserve this for giving an opinion.....

I don't see the big fucking deal... so djoser posted something from the blue site and said what he thought of it....
why make a thread about it????
Because it was a personal attack that didn't get cleaned up until after Katrine started this thread. But hey, he's found a cheap gym and a heavy bag that he can punch until his knuckles bleed. Anger management is good. ::)

ET,
He damn sure deserves this. He's a moderator on a board where he decided it was quite alright to personally attack me. I would have respected his stance so much more if he would have run some dialogue through the PM. Instead he chose to showboat in front of his captive pinkie audience. All I see in that is http://www.networkstoday.com/forums/images/smilies/pinkelefant.gif .
I'm sure he's a decent guy. He just needs to live up to his billing as a moderator. It can't be too confortable as a mod having to clean up another mod's mess. Venus Goddess took care of it all. However, he had his chance to read my rebuttal as I did his personal attack. All water under the bridge.;)
I'm so glad he got a heavy bag to hit though. Perhaps that will equate to a kinder gentler individual. ::)

You're so misguided. Yet I am not here to change your mind or "enlighten" you. I'll continue to enjoy sharing stories with the fellow blue siters and you can continue to see it as all lies. Sound fair? :-\

I have much respect for all women dancer or not. I've said that many a time before. I guess you weren't talking to me.

They're just trying to make a buck like the next person. Keep that tipout list populated and the dj is your friend.

I'm sure he is a good person too. From what you've read? You obviously didn't get to that thread before VG cleaned it up. Anyways, I'm sure he's a good person. There's no need to debate that. However, being a good person and living up to that billing everyday are two totally different things.

I realize what happened to you, but to think even half of all dancers are willing to do that is wrong. That would be just like me thinking all customers are like mr. punk....

You wouldn't know of this.....

I read the thread... and I also realize all he did was quote you....and say what he thought...
I'm not into being popular on this site nor caring whether someone agrees with me or not...
This is the internet, and if you don't have the fucking balls to say what you think here, then you must be a real wuss in real life....

Guys, thanks for all your comments about my opinions, I really appreciate it and it really makes me think. I will be the first to admit that I don't have much experience with gentlemen's clubs - I don't usually go to them because they tend to be downtown and I'm not, and they tend to be overpriced in my limited experience. It's also been my experience that there are a lot more dancers with "attitudes" in GC's, but again my GC experience is limited. Having said all that, lately I've been going to a GC almost exclusively because I met a girl in one who really rocks my world. And I've been struck by how different things are in this club compared to all the other clubs that I've been to. And I've also been struck by how different the opinions are of the girls who post on the pink site, compared to the many girls who I've known from smaller and seedier clubs. I realize that things are very different from one part of the country to another so maybe my observations aren't typical, although I have traveled quite a bit. Interesting that we often have such different observations from similar experiences. I wonder why that is? I guess we all see what we want to see.
By the way, I never saw the original post by DJoser that started all this. And I wouldn't have read it if I had because, having insulted me more than once on the pink site, he's on my "do not read" list. I enjoy disagreement, I don't enjoy insults.

...especially all the nonsense about free extras and free VIP...
Damn, sign me up on the free extras!
This is the second time somebody has mentioned the "nonsense of free VIP". Maybe I'm missing something here. I was getting into VIP at Joy for free for nine months before they started cracking down hard late one summer. That's when I ended up buying the annual deal which was only $500 at the time. Even when my year "expired" last August, I was still getting in without having to pay the "daily" fee (although you can argue that since I was tipping my waitress very, very well it wasn't technically free but significantly less than the daily rate of $100 for a prime booth at night).
As for other clubs, the only time I've gotten in "free" was when I was hanging with people who were paid VIP members of that particular club. Otherwise I just don't sit in VIP.
So who says they're getting free VIP?
And back on topic, personal attacks of any nature should not be welcome on this message board. It's okay to disagree with someone, but most intelligent people can disagree with others in a civil manner without resorting to name calling, etc.

One of my favorite clubs gave me a free lifetime VIP card for bringing in two new dancers. The dancers were looking for another place, and I just made the connection. No big deal.
I think SCJ guys write trip reports to share unexpected situations good and bad. Or things that leave them wondering "does she like me or was it some drug?"
I don't write about my ATF, because I understand her reasons. I'm happy in ways I don't mention here.
I don't think many SCJ guys lie, nor do I think many dancers on the pink site lie. We just see different sides of the subculture.

I read the thread... and I also realize all he did was quote you....and say what he thought...if VG thought it was necessary to clean it up the remarks of another moderator. obviously, she thought something was wrong with the thread. so, if you think this person was being treated unfairly. perhaps you should PM or go upstairs and direct your complaints about her moderation decision in her direction. no one here (including MW) has a problem with her actions.

I get the impression that most of the ladies on the pink site are primarily oriented toward upscale gentlemen's clubs while the guys here tend to represent more of the smaller and seedier places, of which there are many more IMO. I look at the gentlemen's clubs as being a fairly small and atypical part of the overall industry (for example of the 250 or so clubs in my home state maybe a dozen are GC's), and that the opinions of many of the girls working in GC's are atypical of strippers in general.
My home joint is a seedy dive, but so are all but perhaps three clubs in my entire state. And the three nice ones would be mid-scale at best compared to some GC's in Vegas, New York, or Dallas. I really don't make my club going decisions based on the decor of the place. I go where I can find the place where I can find the dancers who scratch my itch the best, and right now it just happens to be the seedy dive. Lo and behold, there really isn't that much of a difference. Hell, even in the dives, everything is overpriced.
As for the difference between dancers in GC's versus those in seedier clubs, I'd say that many of the women you see in the nicer clubs have also had plentiful experience in the not so nice ones. The decision to move to a "greener" pasture is based on the same idea as to why Willie Sutton robbed banks. I've seen dancers move from no mileage GC's to high mileage dives for the exact same reason.
I think SCJ guys write trip reports to share unexpected situations good and bad. Or things that leave them wondering "does she like me or was it some drug?"
I don't write about my ATF, because I understand her reasons. I'm happy in ways I don't mention here.
You know, I had a wonderful time with my ATF a couple of weeks ago, and wanted to write up a nice TR about it. But I just can't bear to do it, because aside from wanting to protect her privacy, things just went a little too "as planned" for there to be any readability (or even writeability) to it. If I can't stand to see my own words then what's the point? It would be as interesting as a news story of an airplane that landed safely without incident.
So, I'll save my next TR contribution for my next train wreck. Lets hope it doesn't involve an actual train.

No, I fully understand why a great many dancers are opposed to the proliferation of extras; that doesn't change the fact that dancers other than stereotypical crack-addled skanks can and do give them out for the right customer when conditions suit them, and I'm not even talking about pre-OTC stuff. When did I say otherwise? I merely tried to add that there are business reasons to eliminate them. I'm saying the discussion has more elements to it than you're emphasizing.
And as for the description of the prevailing opinion, particularly with regard to pink site members, I hit it dead on, as evidenced by your response.Your assertion is that pink site members don't believe extras go on at the level and of the nature you suggest. My perception is that some don't believe, some do, some care, some don't. Personally, I try to remove myself from other people's private business as much as possible and don't automatically take at face value everything I happen to overhear, so I guess that's why any observations from me are largely whats-good-for-business hypotheticals.

A couple points bugging me. I reiterate that I didn't see the "offending" post and therefore, have no opinion on it. But...
First, some of you seem to expect a moderator to have the wisdom of Solomon or something. I submit they're no different than you or I, nor should they be expected to display unerring judgment because, well, I assume it's volunteer, not a paid job. Sure, admonish a rule violator to behave. But a little slack should be cut, IMHO, lest we have no one who wants to moderate. I've had at least one of my posts deleted, but I don't think that warrants a site ban, nor a disqualification of ever moderating in the future. No one told me why, but I know by the nature of the post that it was for much the same reason as here. Someone ticked me off and I got too mouthy.
Second, it is a bit ironic that the standard protocol, at least judging by what I see occur in some forums over on the pink side, is that when a thread is locked or post deleted, you don't continue to bring it up in another thread or post, like we've done here. By continuing the discussion, we (note I'm included) have essentially negated the moderator's action to clean up the problem. Can we collectively say "bad netiquette"?
-Ev
Im locking the thread until I have a chance for a mod discussion. Seems like were beating it to death....

Now that I'm back, and tired and cranky, I agree. Seems to me that the issue was resolved when Venus cleaned the thread, and it didn't need a dumptruck load of further pissiness dropped on it. We can't all just get along, so let's all just move along. - JZ
