One of the things that has really surprised me about getting older is that I still feel pretty much the same inside, I'm still stuck on the late-30's or ealy 40's mentally. I always thought that I'd feel older when I got to be older but that hasn't happened

I totally agree with this statement. I know one of these days I'll be sitting on the front porch with the grandkids watching the setting sun and remembering (or trying to remember) my youth. Ain't happened yet and I'm fighting it every step of the way ;D

The one change that getting older did bring is that I now understand what it means to be wiser. And as I'm sure many of you have noticed, I enjoy trying to share that wisdom with others, even when they aren't interested. But that's OK, I was never interested when I was younger either. Thankfully there are some strippers who appreciate my wisdom. Or at least they are good at pretending to, which as far as I'm concerned is the same thing.
Actually, I think bright dancers appreciate good advice. They think something is happening to them for the first time ever in the history of the planet, and you can explain that it's an almost-predictable pattern behavior. That's comforting in a way, and they come back with more questions later. :)

FONDL: I wouldn't say we aren't intersted, we just don't always agree with you. There is a difference! If you where boring we would just ignore you. There are at least 3 sides to every story and every SCJ has a sightly different take on things. What Sporty refers to as explaining predictable pattern behavior, I refer to as listening with empathy. There's room for all of us on SCJ Love train...:twocents:

I'm sorry if this discussion about aging seems unrelated to the topic at hand, but it actually is related. Those traveling businessmen who were the main SC customers of 20 years ago are now approaching retirement age, and I think that is a major trend affecting clubs today. The number of retired guys coming in, many during the day shift, appears (at least to me) to be increasing. So it's important for the girls to become more comfortable around old guys. I remember a post not too long ago from some young gal asking what she could possibly have in common with a guy old enough to be her grandfather? Actually I think they could have a lot of common interests, but it might take a little extra work to find out what they are. The ability to relate to older guys thus becomes n important success tool for some girls. But the real issue is, what happens when we get too old and feeble to be able to make it to the VIP room? Maybe we'll need VIP rooms that are wheel chair accessible. Oxygen tanks might make sense too.

I don't see as many "old guys" as you guys do I guess. Maybe it's a little different in the Las Vegas area. Most of the clubs I frequent have 20-40 year olds in there. The really popular clubs like Spearmint Rhino or Cheetah's in Vegas tend to have a younger 20-30 year old crowd. The higher end clubs like Treasures have 30-40 year olds. The nude clubs like Deja Vu or Little D's are more wide spread.

Young guys will usually spend everything in their wallets while older guys have more self control. (for the most part) But I'd say that old guys still spend more then the youngsters due to their higher incomes.

I'm 32 years old so I'm kinda right inbetween being young and old.

Convention towns like Vegas are probably quite different than other places. All the old guys there are probably broke from playing the slots.

Anyway I wanted to ask a question about older customers. I've read some comments that indicate that older guys tend to be more generous on average. If that's true (and it may not be), I wonder if we became more generous as we got older, or have we stayed pretty much the same but the younger guys today are somewhat less willing to spend money on strippers than we were. If it's the latter, that's not a good sign for the future of some clubs. I think I've stayed pretty much the same as I always was in this regard.

I've been meeting many more retirees as of late, especially working day shift. All ages end up spending about the same on me. Very young guys might spend less per body, but there are more of them to go around. Much older retirement age men also only get a couple of dances. Guys in their mid 30's to mid 40's spend the most. Perhaps they think they have a chance, but this is the age group that might blow $500-900 on me in the club per guy. These days, that happens about 2 x a month max though.

Perhaps. Hell, I wouldn't spend $900 for an evening of no extras lapdances, even from someone as charming as myself. Its all good, there is enough to go around. I think the industry is shit anyway, whether that is recent or longstanding. Can't wait to be done with it..............:expressio

How much you spend has everything to do with how much you have. Spending $900 on a girl in strip club could be everything that one guy has. It could be a drop in the bucket for someone else. I would think that middle aged guys would spend the most. That's when a lot of guys start making a lot of money and have lots of disposable income but before they have to worry about paying for their kids colleges/weddings and their own retirement.

I remember going to Times Square sometime in the late 80's and seeing a live sex show in what I thought was a strip club. "Peep shows and live boy/ girl sex" the Barker kept yelling from just in front of the club. I sat down in a room along with a bunch of other guys (and a few women) and a couple came out and started having sex on a small stage. Eventualy the couple made their way to the front row and the woman sat on guys laps with her legs in the air while her partner pounded her. It was bizarre but not really sexy at all. They did this for about 15 minutes, stopped and left the room. Neither of the participants seemed all that into it. At that time Mass and RI clubs where no LD, no contact so it was just about the wildest thing I had ever seen in "adult entertainment".
