Warrick from CSI is HOT. Actually, they all are. Wait, not Brass.
Agreed. I am ersonally a HUGE, rabid Grissom fan. He's hot AND a geek. Heheheee. But yes, that cast is massive amounts of hotness.

^^^^ *dies* too hot! So tooo hot!
Paul Walker, however, is too dime a dozen looking for me. You could lose him, and his teeny nipples, in a crowd here at the beach. Or at a pride parade. The buff white boy look is in style.

Oh yes I'M SO racist because I have dating preferences (Like MANY people) & am against illegal immigration just like MILLIONS of other people. LMFAO!!
I hope you realize that my preferences are completely normal & I never said anything about hating other races, YOU said that & frankly it pisses me off. I stated that I hated "thugs." Does that mean a particular race? NO. ;)
I guess you don't want to respond because you don't want to be told that you're wrong or have an intelligent debate. :O

Did this have to turn into something ugly? I actually love to see interacial couples. for some reason I feel like thy really want to be together because they do get a stare here and there and they could care less. My parents are interacial and fight and love everyday..
I don't care what anyone looks like, if I think you are hot, you just are, regardless of skin color..
I have only slept with 2 black men, 2 spanish men and many caucasian men, not because of race, but because they let me.. he he

So um... what did the super morphed image have to do with the topic? I mean, I dont get it. Is it "ha ha his lips are big he's a black guy?" Or... I dunno? It seemed rather random and pointless to me.

Personally I have not dated a black man. But then again I have dated very few men and I am married and have been for several years now. But I have made several close black friends over the years, both male and female. Thus I don't think if my "Mr. Right" had been black it would have made any difference to me. I'd adore him just the same :couple:

06-11-2006, 08:09 PM
Ack, the poll is flawed. It asks if you have "been INTO'' black men before, and then in the choices it seems to measure whether you've BEEN with a black man.
I have definitely found [attractive] black men attractive, but have never been with one. I've only had three boyfriends anyway. =) For the record, they were 1. bengali, 2. white and filipino, 3. white and indian royalty HEH.
Men are attractive not for their race but based on ther... um... attractiveness. How they look, act, what vibe they convey, etc.

I actually love to see interacial couples. Do you think this is because bi-racial children are more attractive?
gypsy_girlchild
06-11-2006, 10:19 PM
^^^ Oh I must say yes!!! I am not mixed (adopted by my mom), but two of my siblings are and they are gorgeous! They are India-Indian and caucasion.. Truly beautiful kids.
TifaRae
06-11-2006, 11:26 PM
Oh god the Indian/white mix usually turns out wonderfully.
It is possible that many bi-racial people are, subconsciously or not, considered more attractive due to the increased likelihood of advancing genetic traits.
For example, Adriana Lima is a good example of the modern face of beauty. Whereas, Marilyn Monroe was a typical example of the 50's sexpot. As the world globalizes, so do definitions of beauty.
Adriana Lima:

*And we all know what Marilyn Monroe looks like*

Crap! I'm late to this one. Interacial dating is the bomb! My male friend said my taste was like the UN. I'm typing this across from a scrumptious looking dude who seems to have a slavic accent. He has reddish brown hair, blue eyes, light brown skin. God bless 'im!! I don't know what he is but he's smokin'! I digress. Interacial dating is a wonderful thing. I've dated guys from every continent and they all want to hog the remote, have the last piece of pizza, and fall asleep after sex! :) God love 'em!
i'm black and sadly ( at least for black men) i can't stand them >:( . i'll date any other race first. why so negative you say...well...i have been the butt of every joke by my race because my mother taught me to annuciate and listen to just more than rap and r&b. i love it all. i've been called oreo and accused of trying to fit in with the whites. i also don't like men who blame the man for holding them down. there is always a way...always. i grew up in the south with the "sophisticated" racists as we all them. i know all about being a second hand citizen. my father and brothers didn't give me a good outlook on black men either. my father was a two-timing drug addict who left us. my brothers except for one are womanizing assholes. even though all men of different races do this, they eveloped my world with it. i am not even physically attracted to them anymore
i know...i'm jaded for life
i say everybody do everybody so we can just all be one color...you know, make it a little harder to discriminate each other

i've been with puerto ricans, white guys and black guys. Doesn't matter to me and I'm white.

I am black and mostly date white guys. I've dated someone from practically EVERY continent (including Australia!). I've dated latino, asian, black and middle eastern. But, I know from experience, my preference is white guys.
Sometimes, but not always, I have a bone to pick with black men. It's okay to dress a little street, speak a little slang with your boys, and be a hip hop head...but I can't STAND thugged-out guys. And when I say "thugged out" I don't mean the dress, but the attitue. A lot (not all) act stupid as hell and have no drive except to fuckin' hustle or some shit. I hate the way thugs try to approach me. When I was coming up, a lot of times, the thuggish guys (damn near all of them at my school) acted like I was not "black enough" because of the way I speak, the way I carry myself, and the fact that I drool when I hear songs by Linkin Park and less than 1/3 of the songs on my iTunes is rap/hip-hop. I too was called "Oreo" because I did well in school, did activities like math league and literary team...gee, sorry if the realm of nerd-dom is only reserved for those who aren't black!
BUT...since going on to post secondary education, I have met some very fine specimens of black men. Educated, ambitious, hard working, and sweet. Had the biggest crush on a third year here who is now working for a top tier law firm making six figures easily...but, I just can't seem to work up the nerve to try to date someone I go to school with!!!! :P
On the flip side...too bad about half or 3/4 of them only want to date white women or asian women...lol...ah, the irony...but, I don't hate on them for it. If that's what they like and they choose a great women, then go for it. But then again, I've met a number of educated black men who have cited the same problems as I have as a woman. Teased for not being "black enough" because they did well in school and maybe wasn't completely immersed in "black" culture.
In the end, the most important thing is that you go for someone who is great, great for YOU and who you feel happy about having in your life. If you have all that, then who gives a shit if he's purple with pink polka dots? (At some point, you might want to see a dermatologist about that though...)

I consider myself Black...although a lot of Blacks don't consider me Black, but that's a whole other story in itself...
I've dated men/women of many different races.
My favs are people of color, period. Latin, Black, Mixed, some kinda ethnic white (Italian, Greek, etc).
A lot of white guys like me...it seems like more white guys like me just based off looks, where as black guys like me because of looks but broken into my hair texture, hazel eyes, golden tan skin, etc. That whole "Damn I love me a thick ass redbone with that good hair...oh, well, you ain't a real regular black person since you so mixed" shit black guys spit at me turns me off SO MUCH it makes me want to fucking vomit.
Latin guys I really like... I especially love Caribbean Latinos. Dominicans, Ricans... yummy yummy.
I wonder why Asians are so... anti-asian? It seems like Asians marry outside of their own race more than anyone.

Most the guys i've been with have been black but so are most my girlfriends. So I've always been around black girl and guys. It does piss off white guys when they find out though.

I think given a certain amount of years it won't be a big deal to anybody. Once the baby boomers are gone you'll see even less of a big deal with this.
EDIT: Sorry didn't know this was so old.

It may be dated 2005 (and after Jan 1st which will make it 3 years old) however it is an issue that is still very much relevant today as it was back when it first started.
It's actually quite interesting you re-vived this thread.
I might as well say it. I'm dating a black man. He's english and I don't know what 'type' of black man he is however there is no arguments of what skin colour he is not that it matters to me.
Also, considering I lost my virginity to a PNG black man... yeah... I voted
I've been with them before but not a habit
I look at the person not the colour of their skin to be honest. I don't have a real preference as I've "been with" all types of men in my lifetime.
Okay.. now to allow this thread to go back to obscurity.

im married to a black man and only dated them before that. and im a white woman. i don't anyone should feel anyway about who you prefer or date. people need to get with the times, and get over it. in a hunderd years there's going to be no such thing as color, i think everyone's going to be mixed....

I've dated almost every race if I really thought about it. I've dated more black guys than any other race too. I've had problems with it in the past with people who knew me but I just say fuck it.

I've only been with white guys. I've been attracted to other races, but never been with any. And for the last four years, I've only been with white, Eastern European guys. Once you go Bosnian you never go back. ;)
ETA:
I feel it is important to say that officially, every relationship I've ever been in is interracial. I am half white and half asian. And I say half and half like it's simple, but really, there are more ethnicities involved than that.
Anyways, I consider myself 'white on the inside' regardless of my heritage. I'm not sure why, I have lots of black friends, lots of hispanic friends. Used to have lots of asian friends, but I don't see any of them anymore.
I remember a few years ago I went to a club where EVERYONE was black or hispanic, and I looked around thought, "Man, I feel soooo white." And it was so strange because I look hispanic, so it's not like anyone in the club noticed me. But I don't feel like I fit in when other races are in large groups. It bugs me, because I'm not necessarily racist, I just feel like when people get all ethnic-proud and whatever, there's no place for someone like me who is mixed.

I know this is old, but I thought I would answer anyway.
I've dated just about every ethnicity. Arabic, Black-Arabic, Black, Asian, Asian adopted and raised by caucasian parents, white Irish. I usually prefer men that aren't pasty white for sure. My family is from the sticks where I'm not real popular due to their ignorance. It's strange that although my maternal family is American Indian and caucasian with a black G-Grandmother (which they pretend never existed) the whole family is very prejudiced and pretend to be regular old caucasians. Confuses the hell outta me....
According to my parents by the time I was 3 I would freak out anytime anyone said anything derogatory about a person from another race and tell them that was mean and wrong.
Disclaimer - If using the term black instead of African American upset anyone I deeply apologize. I use that term due to the fact that one of my best friends would kick my ass if I ever referred to anyone as AA in front of her, she will tell anyone she is black, not AA.

^I have a serious issue calling people African American when they're families have been in the states farther back than they can trace. They're just regular old Americans with dark skin. That's it. I had two friends in highschool who were from South Africa and they were caucasian. They sued after they found out their 'African American' scholarship applications were rejected due to skin color. And they won. If you came from Africa, or wherever, and you have a proud heritage, good for you. But if you were born in North Dakota and the only culture you know is ebonics, you're not African American! You're AMERICAN!
Of course, if you feel you have to identify with something other than America, we could all use that trick. I'm Filipina/Spanish(Spain, not hispanic!)/German/French/English/Native American-American. And paternally, I'm like 9th generation.. So there!

My attraction to people seems to me not to be based on age, gender, race or disability. ;D
I like what's in someone's head more than what's on the outside...and what I like seems to come in a lot of different packages.

I hate to break it to you but it's not your call what any group (especially one you don't belong to) calls itself. You're setting yourself up with those statements because they are ignorant and paternalistic. :(
Ebonics is not a culture.
What trick do you think African Americans are performing?
Back to the OP. I'm not sure if it was meant for non-black posters only but just in case, yes I am into dating black men but not exclusively.

I dont see why you should be flamed for that. You dont DISLIKE other races...we cant really control what we are and arent attracted to sexually. I like bigger guys...I'm not attracted to skinny feminine type guys. Does that mean I think there is something WRONG with those guys? No of course not...they just dont do it for me.
I'm sure there are a ton of guys who think I'm pretty, but I dont turn them on because they are attracted to black girls, or latin, or super skinny, etc...etc... Doesnt offend me. Theres no rule that says you should want to bang everyone..LOL!

I can see your point. I don't have a major issue with people calling themselves African-American though. I prefer "Black." And I'm Black by the way. :) Once in a while I might use the A-A term but it doesn't feel right. I know I'm more than African blood. And it's pretty obvious by looking at me too.
I think of most Americans as mutts anyways. We're all made up of LOADS of different ethnicites. To me, race is different from ethnic background. Race = skin coloring. Ethnic background = heritage. My personal definitions might be wrong though!

I dated a security officer who worked a different hospital than i do (he's black) and he was soooo nice. We have just gotten caught up in work and it fizzled out. I seen him a few nights ago (reason i jumped in here) and he asked me out to dinner. It would be my pleasure, i adore him. Also an ER doctor and i went out a few times he's black and so damn cool! Yes i adore black men.
PS my daughter is dating a guy who is from the Dominican Republic. Great guy as well.

I worded that wrong. The only major problem is that I type dramatically since I can't really express myself except through smileys ::). But you're exactly right. The majority of Americans are definitely mixed, and that's what makes this place so awesome. I also agree with your ethnicity v. race concept. There's your physical distinction that makes you the same or different from others, and there's your cultural distinction that makes you the same or different from others. And there are so many shades of gray when it comes to these definitions.
