My roommate always knew when I had been dancing by my knees... she called them my battle wounds.

Wow I wish I had been this calm and cool after my first night of dancing!!! I was scared shitless and it certainly didnt help that I had to go on stage my first time after the best girl in the club...I felt like an idiot after her, and I know I looked like one. All the girls in the club were watching me, there was only 2 customers in the club and I had been sitting with one of them before I went up. Its BYOB and he gave me a couple beers, plus I had a couple before I started that night, I wasnt feeling very much pain. I'll tell you what though, its a damn good thing too because I was just about as bad as it gets. I still think my first time was one of the worst first times I have ever seen to date and I have been dancing now for almost 5 years. I actually SWUNG around the pole like George of the fucking jungle and shit. Talk about embarrasing!!! The guy I was sitting with knew it was my first time and that I was really nervous and he came and tipped me $10 on stage despite my lack of grace and looking good at all. But just remember you cant get worse, it only will get easier and you will get better. I dont advise attempting anything to tricky in the pole department at first, practice on a side stage before trying the real deal. I almost fell on my face trying to do pole work with my wobbly nervous knees and what seemed at the time the highest shoes that have ever been made. Have fun, be safe...

Awesome thread, Heaven!

I'm really glad I came across your thread and a big THANK YOU for taking the time to post it in such detail. I've got my audition this Friday and after reading your posts, it's made me feel much more confident about myself already. Hope things continue to go great for you as they are now.

Girl, you rock!

Ouch for the legs. Looks what I did to myself last weekend. Don't know what I did but I banged my knee and shins pretty bad... body makeup covers bruises nicely though.

This is some really good advice, I still haven't summoned up the courage to start yet, but after reading your post, I've made it a goal to start in two weekends!!

I just had my 1st night last night and the same thing happened to me! I didnt eat and I had no clue the whole time they had food there! I didnt find out till the end of the night, I actually had to pull over on the drive home to throw up i was so ill from not eating but aside from that I had a similar experience to yours....including the red black and blue knees! Glad it went well for you honey!

I like how you write. You should start a blog and begin with what you wrote here. Fun read.
