i will never understand why so many strippers have such crappy quality tattoos when we make more money then most people that get tattoos and can afford top notch artists...
this is not directed to anyone specifically in this thread though im sure it could apply to a few.

Because some strippers got thoes tattoo's before they were strippers that could afford better?
Because some strippers got thoes tattoo's on an impluse and didn't research the artist?
I'm a very impulsive person. I was out one night with my friends, and we walked past a tattoo shop. My girlfriend said ohh, I want to get a tattoo on my hip. She said, I dare you to tattoo Delicious n your back. I said ok. Impulsive. It's not a bad quality tattoo, I feel it was done well, it's just...well..I don't like sporting that word on my body anymore. I actualyl worked well when I became a stripper, tho noone believes the tattoo came before the stripping. I suppose the tattoo still works well in a strip cub setting, but I don't liek the attention it attracts out in public. I alwyas hear peopel behind my back yelling, Hey Delicious!
The butterfly tattoo I got because my boyfriend hates tattoos and not only am I impulsive, but I do things when peopel tell me not to. Since he don't like tattoos, I was at home visiting, and away from him, drove past a tattoo shop, felt rebelious, and got the butterfly. I got it very small and not visible unless I am naked. Just to see how long until he noticed. Again, impulsive and rebelious.
I admit, that tattoo wasn't done the greatest. The butterfly itself is cute, but the swirly lines on top of it..I have no idea what the fuck that is for. I didn't ask for it. He just sorta did it.
Oh well. I have no regrets. What's done is done. Imma be an 80 year old delicious woman! :)

Here's my latest one.
I had it done last Xmas.
The color in the first one is how it actually looks (color wise), the second picture doesn't show how bright it is.
One more to go and i'll be complete. :)

yay im SO glad you knew it was a lotus! everyone is like, nice koi and...uh..sunflower.. haha. Its not a finished piece because I am giving my body a little poking break. 9 hours and still not done.
What do you want on your ribs Taylor?
it didnt hurt as much as my shoulder tats, to be honest. I guess pain tolerence/threshold is different for everyone.

Sauske, that tat along your ribs is beautiful, but I know that must have hurt like a motherfucker. That area is so sensitive. I don't know how I sat for mine. The last time I had it worked on it hurt so much. I didn't remember it hurting like that when I have had it worked on in times past.

OK, now this is a thread I like. The one along my arm is actually half red, half black, but the lighting on the pic was bad. I have more but no pictures of them handy. The knife is a real one that I own that used to be my grandfather's and then my father's.
And yay for another one in December!

Lovin all the artwork!
I don't have any pics of my backpiece yet aside from the ones my artist has. No matter, as it isn't finished yet anyhow. I'd rather show off the finished product.
I went in for this one last week as a favor to my artist. Gettin her shaded next week.

Yay this thread lives on!
Penny, Oz, awesome ink! Penny, putting just that little bit of red in the center is so hot!
Oz are you doing that in stages for adding color/shading and such? It's hard to see from that angle but the design looks like it could come out *very* cool.
Scarlett.Oz
12-08-2007, 03:45 PM
Yeah that's a really bad angle. I had the outline done in grey but it came out a little darker than expected. I'm getting her coloured in next week with the original 'flat' and pale colours and then i'm going to hunt around when I move to Canada for someone to add some more depth. As much as I love my artist at the moment, she's not the best for detail.

The grey should will fade to a bit lighter if it's still healing (not sure how old the pics was or how many you've watched heal...). All my tats were flat black until recently when I got one with some shading and one with some red. I'm going to add another with some red and when I think of what I want on my back it too will have a lot of shading/depth.

It's probably just because you have so many more people staring at your ass, some are bound to fuck it up...
Just noticed the sig, with the pale skin and red hair and lipstick the red must be extra hot! Nice!

it's about 3 months now (was 1 day in the pic). It's basically the same colour now as my 7 year old black one. I have 6 although one has 8 parts done at different times and I heal really quickly. This will be the first colour, I'm so excited.
Here's mine. It's a symbol I grew up with and holds much significance for me.
Sorry about the glare in the pic.

Would you believe it, I'm inkless and almost 23.
I want to get some words and phrases and letters first and foremost, but have to think of the right quote. Then I wanna get the Parkway South sign on my lower back pointing south....ha. I also want a nice and original lip tat. I'm too fucking choosy tho that's why I haven't gotten inked.
What are your secrets to getting such original tats?!?!?!
I'm really inspired by words tats, so anyone with those please speak up!

the one i posted (on my back) was a drawing i did the day before i got it tattooed. i knew the general idea, and sketched it out because i couldn't find anything like it.
then i just said "fuck it" and had him use my drawing.

Obviously I'm feeling a little webcam-happy tonight. The angles of some of these make me look like a mutant, but I promise you, I'm not abnormally proportioned, that's just weird foreshortening stuff going on.
The quality of 3 of my tattoos is... not great (butt stripes, wrist, calf). At the time I got them, I was young and stupid. Then I got 2 more, marginally better (arm and neck). I have left out a pic of the one on my leg because I like it the least right now.

I move that going forward all these pics be taken while crawling sexily around the floor.

Here are some more.
To Alaska who asked about getting ideas... mine are a mix of family crests/mottos, norse heritage stuff, very personal musical stuff, phoenixes (not terribly original but I like them), philosophy quotes, and one is a family heirloom of sorts. I thought about all the ideas a long time before getting them, especially for the first few; it kind of sped up after I broke the ice.

it's an armband-type of my three kids' chinese names, oldest-youngest/left-right.
they share the same family/clan name (of course), the same generational name, but the 3rd character in each grouping are their personal names. "wisdom", "heart", and "jade/coral"; respectively.
i like the first two but i thought the 3rd was a little iffy. meh.
in my family the paternal grandmother (my mom) picks the names. or at least i humor her enough to let her pick the names. :P
it's still scabbing so that's why there's the lotion that's shiney. pardon moi. ;D
