Wear absolutely no make up. My hair is very short (love long hair, but no time to keep it looking good). wear T-shirt, blouse, panties, bra. Normal look.
I don't know. I had one young man ask me at at checkout one time if I was a biker.
I told him yeah, I drove one. Whatever gave you that idea?

If you are trying to dance in a country that requires a psecial permit, or even in the US with licenses in some areas, why would you want to call attention to yourself? It can not profit you to have TSA single you out for close inspection. If anything, the delay alone is annoying when you are trying to get on the plane.

Why would looking like a stripper at the airport lead to being singled out by security at the airport? I know, I know.....jerks using their badges to harrass hot women. But OTHER than that??? Since when are strippers a threat to national security?

I dunno - strippers have a certain something about them that makes em stand out. Usually it is a tight body - long hair in some to bright bottle bleach, and there is a certain look in their eyes.

So do Dallas debutantes. Boob job by 18 is requisite.
I've assumed way too many spoiled party girls are strippers. I don't like attention at the airport. I wear a hat, hair braided, sweats or jeans, and boots. Sometimes the shirt is tight, but I usually wear a bra. Bouncing naturals aren't a good thing when running late through the terminal....:D

I gotta agree with you there! Texas women have a certain look about em - like they all march in step in some strange way. The only way I can express it is "very polished." Kinda like how New York City women all wear black.

Well I guess everyone has an opinion... }:D

Not in a bazillion years.
I can assure you that strippers have done more for U.S. national security than you could possibly imagine.
God, is this a great country or what? ;)

Last year I drove a dancer friend of mine to the airport. She was going home to Brazil for among other things, a boob job. When I dropped her off she was wearing sweats, sneakers and a t-shirt with a hooded sweatshirt over it. 4 weeks later, when I picked her up she was wearing a tank top that could have passed for dental floss and no bra. " I paid $4000 for these, I want people to see them" was what she said when, as she hugged me, one of her new boobs just about fell out of the top. I told her to wait until she got back to work, nobody in the airport was tipping...

One thing noted is that all strippers use the same kind or brand perfume everywhere. Even when shopping at the Walmart. Happened to me few days ago out of town, this tall stuck up girl, typical dancer pose with a perfume that for sure was a SC trademark.
O.K girls, what kind of perfume you buy so I can get some for my better half............do the SCs give them for free?

that's so ridiculous....besides, many of us wear different scents OTC. I have certain perfumes that I won't wear there because I don't want them to be associated with my stripper persona.
You are probably smelling body sprays. I can't not think "stripper" when I smell them. I still think many clubs must have a fine mist of Victoria's Secret Love Spell constantly being sprayed in the dressing room. A strip club staple.

Ah... body sprays. I have a friend who calls them "stripper juice".

I am familiar with this "Stripper Juice" and I am afraid you cannot buy it off the shelves at stores. AM I RITE?!
I reinstate my Strippers theory in a previous post.
RECENTLY, I caught one outside who knew I recognized her as a stripper even in her civies...she immidiatly shot lasers out of her eyes in my direction to destroy 'the one who knows to much' <this is how I am referred to in the dressing room'
Thanks to my Tai Jitsu training and my Mercinary upbringing, I was able to fend off this Level 3 Pole Assassin with minor civilian casualties.
In spotting strippers outside the club, I suggest ignorance is bliss.
However in truth, something about seeing a stripper in her regular appearance and knowing what she does when the sun goes down, can be insanly attractive. Especially if she does the next door girl look like so many of you can do.

Never a truer word spoken in jest. I suspect most dancers would prefer not to be "outed" by a casual customer who spots them in "civillian clothing".

thats my thoughts thus the writings I've posted of what could make a sweet comic.
Imagine the one PL/RIL who finds out his ATF is a member of a Slave trade Organization thats designed to harvest babies of Strippers for an alien workforce in return for super powers, immortality, and an ingrained desire to keep the coven and craft a secret from the outside world.
What they didn't count on was this PL/RIL is really a covert man-under-cover from a secret off-the-map self governed inter-dimensional warlock community who has had his identity compromised by the woman he pays to love only to have both sides turn against him. He likes these odds. Coming this fall, Justice will be Paid in 20.00 bills, in STRIPPED.
wow.
WOW.
I am sooooo sorry for that.

I find the whole idea of stereotyping and profiling strippers offensive. What happened to the SW credo that strippers are just regular, workaday women who happen to disrobe for a living? ::)
I have to admit, when I see a 20-something girl with a $1000 handbag with her Juicy tracksuit and high-heeled shoes showing off well-pedicured feet, I think "stripper".
and is she has implants, no matter what else she's got on, I think "stripper".
I admit my first thought is the same as Emilys. OTOH, though, the hypothetical woman described above could be a $1M a year brain surgeon who gets tired of being seen in those ugly ass doctor uniforms.
There are a few members of my Harley club who I know for a fact have more money than god. Yet when we go out on rides the men wear their rattiest clothes and make sure they dont shave at least a couple of days beforehand. And their ladys wear clothes so interesting they would make a stripper blush (chaps, thong and a vest with no bra are my favorites :P ) Point being, I guess, is that what you see is not necessarily reality.

Dude: Put down the book of dancer stereotypes that you have been reading. Next time your in an SC try having an actual conversation with a few dancers (this will require buying dances or direct cash investment on your part). You'll find they are real people just like you and me with all kinds of interesting and INDIVIDUAL traits that make them real cool folks to hang with...and spend money on of course!

As a matter of fact I think SW and strippers are different. SWs are easier to single out. SWs look dirty. Thanks for the tip on the body spray! Can it be purchased OTC?
Emily

OTC...um, yeah. They sell Victoria's Secret body sprays at.....(get this) Victoria's Secret.
Which I should own some of as I invest heavily in!

Continuing with " Stripper Spotting 101", the following are typical hair styles I have seen dancers show while traveling or shopping around. If you have any other exotic hair style plese post it!(finally I learned how to post pictures!)

for the most part i try to not draw attention to myself @ the airport. sweatpants, t-shirt, ponytail, no makeup. But about 2 years ago me and a friend were flying all around the US going to different clubs. We had to wear these Hustler Honey shirts and have our hair and makeup done when leaving California b/c we wouldn't have time to change when get got to New Orleans. We must have stood out so bad considering our flight was early in the morning.

Hahah ewwww some of those hairstyles are heinous. I haven't ever seen people with hair like that last one!!!! Most girls I know have straight hair....any length....and they look NORMAL lol. Not skeezy, not maneating...just like girls. But then again, all the ones we get are pretty young. Sadly walking to music is something I've picked up and I am sure I look like an idiot doing it.

Curves, curves and more curves.........girls you will stand out because you have great bodies and if you are tall it will show more. You can't hide behind t-shirts or regular pants...

Most of the girls here (in the club) are pretty short/average and are only tall when they put on their shoes, lol. And also, there are a TON of flat chested, no ass girls that work down here that look like high school girls once in normal clothes. I mean, if you want to stand out, you'll wear sexy clothes to the airport..-__- but most girls just want to be comfy and all that good stuff. People think I'm like 16 years old! Haha

Someone wondered why customs stops us? Drugs.....Any young, beautiful girl travelling alone may be under scrutiny because they assume she may be transporting drugs. On three flights, one from LAX to San Francisco I almost missed my flight because I had a small suitcase and make up on...they went through my makeup bag and tested my MAC powder!!! Another was an int'l flight LAX to Paris CDG where they went through my dietary supplements and made sure they were only supplements and not something else.....Last was from Paris to US, went through everything after I had been travelling through Europe and asked for all receipts...luckily, I saved them all and dumped the whole bag of receipts on the table just to piss them off!!!lol...Fun, fun.....
Yeah, thats right .. hear that all you drug transporters.. make sure you get old, ugly hags to carry your stuff!
There's security and then there's being anal about it. Sheesh

Why is it that some men assume that any girl with a good body must be a stripper? Not all women with "curves, curves, and more curves" are strippers, and not all strippers are all curves. Some of the top earners at my club are flat and rail thin.
Sorry, kinda unrelated, but the assumption that any woman who happens to have a nice body MUST be a stripper bothered me.

London, don't feel like the 'lone ranger'. I really hate to fly now because almost every single time I go through security they want to search my bra ! While it sounds like a funny story, as you pointed out, being taken aside and fully searched is a very good way to miss connecting flights. The last time this started to happen after my first leg flight landed late, and the security guys were eyeing my bustline and calling over a female security guard, I just flipped up my top and said '100% USDA, boys !". Needless to say they let me through with smiles from ear to ear.

I stopped hanging out with one of my friends that I danced with because she always felt the need to tell people that we were dancers. She also acted like what people think dancers are. Whatever stereotypical look dancers are supposed to have, I dont' have. I dont' go swinging around poles at random, I dont wear "stripper shoes" outside of work and I dont wear inappropriate clothing. When I'm with my child, I'm Juicy Coutured out. If I'm out with my best friend, usually it's my "uniform"- low rise jeans, nice top and heels.
I think that people look at a woman with the figure of their favorite dancer and imagine what it would be like to see her on stage. Transference, nothing else.

People who recognized me outside of the club were always caught off guard.. I'm natural.. I wear hardly ANY makeup outside of work and if I do, its just a smige of lip gloss.. I looked like a completely different person all made up when I was working.. if someone on the off chance recognized me outside the club, I got strange reactions.
And Minah, I'm with you, I never hung out with people who made it a "known fact" of what we did.. back in the late 80's a few of us used to travel all over the damn country and there was one girl who while we'd go through airports would always have to do something either in the airport or on the plane to announce what we did.. very annoying..
I am a people watcher as well, and I always find it amusing to see the amount of others checking others out.. LOL

I don't even wear makeup when I'm out usually. I keep my skin clear and get my eyebrows waxed. That seems to keep my makeup application to a minimum. If I DO wear makeup, its lip gloss, mascara, and blush. For work, I go all out, but then, it's only so you can see my features in the club lighting.
