Why is it that celebrities are so freakin' CHEAP!?
I mean, I know why, which is because they are used to being handed everything they want, and they don't pay.
Boy, do I hear THAT ! I guess where NYC is concerned, where celebrities are a 'dime a dozen', dancers quickly get over any celeb 'mesmerization' factor and simply see (most of) them for what they are, 'comp' suckers !Yesterday 05:25 PM
Yep. Although I havent danced for any celebs, I have served drinks to all of them at one time or another working as a cocktail waitress at the Hard rock hotel. They are all incredibly cheap.Everything comped, totally free night, and yet, they can't leave more than a $20 tip, when HAD they paid their bill, it woudl have come to thousands. Thats why when I hear we have a certain celeb in the building at the club, I dont even waste my time. Theres girls lined up to get to thoes tables anyway.

this is nothing to be proud of. it was right before he had to be back in la for a trial date too.
Phil Spector. he wanted me to go to vegas with him *shudders* but i definitely felt very weirded out by him so i wouldn't have taken him up on it ... not like i would have for anyone really... but still. and it wasnt until like a week later that another girl brought in an Entertainment Weekly and i found out who he was and i got even MORE creeped out.

Hmmm. the club I just came from always has celebrity's. Most of them are rappers. I've danced for foot ball players from the rams. Nelly, Chingy, Chingy's dad. The All Stars, Rick the Ruler, some guy, who couldn't belive that I didn't know who he was, but everyone was kissing his ass all night. I mean all night long he kept following me around saying, "Wait, you really don't know who I am? But I'm on tv all the time. This is my song their playing right now."
The list goes on.....
most of these people really didn't spend anything for real. The foot ball players tip the best. 400 dollars for Steven Jackson. 365 from some other football guy. I didn't know his name.

I think that I would still be in awe dancing for him. Throw all that other stuff aside (and yes, he is a sick fuck), and think about it like this...
He created the famous Wall of Sound and recorded the likes of Tina Turner (without Ike), and discovered the talent of Ronnie Spector etc.
You had your own lil' piece of history right there and I think it's pretty cool.

My list is longer than most but not all that impressive- no real Hollywood A listers or anything save for one who is now dead. I have danced for:
Drew Carey, Ice-T, Derek Jeter, Michael Hutchence- a very short time before he died :'( Howard Stern's table, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Hulk Hogan, Darryl Strawberry and various members of the Buc's football team and Tampbay hockey players
Lucky girl.... both are quite yummy in their own way
SOOOOOOO jealous...Michael Hutchence!!!! What was he like?

I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO waiting for this one.
What was it like?
He's my number one celeb I'd want to dance for, he seems like he's really got it together and wouldn't be an ass (I'd hope.)
#2 on list: Hugh Jackman }:D I'd be all sorts of nasty on that guy!

SOOOOOOO jealous...Michael Hutchence!!!! What was he like?
He was so sad/unhappy. This was just a short time before he died. He was sick of touring, sick of the music scene and felt totally trapped. He wanted out. ...told me he didn't know who he was anymore and he felt like a thing not a person.
He was also really messed up and I don't mean drunk either. He was very nice to me though, very kind in both words and tip.... told me I was the first person to not want something from him in long, long time.
He just wanted someone to listen to him and treat him like a normal joe. I cried in the dressing room after he left, it broke my heart to see someone hurt so much. I was not surprised at all when he was found dead. I have never met anyone more depressed in my whole life.

i know, i was totally awed by that, but the whole murder aspect just overshadowed it..
i was totally impressed with his musical resume when i researched further into him.

Donovan McNabb was in to my club the weekend after thanksgiving, but no one really danced for him, they (crew) just chilled in VIP and spent very little money on dancers hanging with them. i thought i'd add this one.

I dont know if atheletes are celebs, but I danced for a few. I dont remember thier names though. one jerkoff walked out without paying me and my friends for dances we did. If i remembered his name I'd put his ass on blast.
I danced for LaLa from Mtv, lol. she was cool, then she bought dances for a bunch of her friends. I made like 300 bucks off her crew, but they were really rowdy. Some of them came back quite a few times and bought dances from only myself and the 4 other black gals in the club, lol. I used to call them my "lesbian cheering
section." LOL.
I met Carl thomas--gay
danced for David Blane---very gay and VERY rude
(I dont mean gay in a rude way, i'm talking homosexual)
danced for some actor from ER, he was alright.

I regularly dance for Andrew Jackson. Does that count?
haha, who doesnt?
I don't want to name names (maybe I'm too nice...) BUT, I've danced for 1 A-list (and recently single!!) celeb, several b-list canadian celebs, 1 well-known tv actor, a few tv-show hosts, 1 reality show guy, several well-known musicians, a news anchor......I've been lucky, most of them have been pretty rad...

A fairly long list pro sports guys and a few celebs. I've seen many of them in clubs but most celebs don't spend money - despite the fact they have more than pretty much anyone else in the club ::) In some of the places I've worked they're fairly common. Most are cheap assholes. bleh
I've had better luck with sports guys.

I danced for guys from Slipknot (big whoop), and Marilyn Manson's band was in the club at the same time but did not get dances. I have also danced for several Colts and Pacers, including the one time famous Marshall Faulk. That guy really liked me and when I'd see him at nightclubs in Indy he would always recognize me and send drinks over. It was flattering, but I didn't like him.
My favorite "star" that I've danced for is John Pinette. You might remember him as the fat guy they got in trouble for making fun of in the last episode of Seinfeld. Turns out, he's actually quite successful and a really great guy, super funny, and very generous.

OMG there are some celebs I would just love to be in the same room with as you ladies have danced for George Clooney and Colin Ferrel to name two....let me get the "drool bucket".
I saw John Pinette on the Montreal Just for Laughs festival and he did a routine called "Around the World in 80 Buffetts" OMG I was laughing so hard I was on hands and knees, tears streaming out of my eyes, and my ribs were sore the next day from laughing so hard!!! He is one of the most hilarious comics I have seen!!!!
I have not danced for any celebs just met a few. Gary Roberts (NHL), Theo Fleury (NHL...now plays in the Elite Hockey League in the UK), Marty Raybon of the country group Shanendoa, Tom Berenger (Platoon/Last of the Dogmen), Stella Stevens and Andrew Stevens (Stella was in Nutty Proffesser and Posidon Adventure...Andrew has been in Shannon Tweed movies...he is a real freaking arrogant asshole!!!>:( ), MR T (who invited me to have drinks with him which was a total riot!!! He's a great guy!!!) Then various other NHL hockey players.

Several Marlins baseball players (whoopee), Mets (sping training is here) and a table dance for Colin Ferrel . The Mets were f'n great . Paid my bills for March.
You see a ton of celebs in Miami.
The Fear Factor guy was in my last club one night. He looked a girl up and down and said "My roadie has bigger tits than you". I said "Wow, your roadie must be really fat". Her boobs were probably a b cup. Jerk.

I've danced for Sting and Colin Farrell, before he was a celeb. I was dying to dance for Taye Diggs when he came in but no luck :(
I would love to dance for Colin Farell (amongst other things). I know he's known to be a womaniser, but I don't care....he can play me any day :D

I've danced for the lead singer of 3 Doors Down (really sweet guy), Martin Lawrence (nice guy), and I've had the displeasure of dealing with Kanye West. Mr. West was an absolute asshole to say the least, and I was working in Nashville when Kid Rock punched a DJ for not playing his songs. Kid Rock and Kanye West=lame...

I've danced for Jordan Knight before (ex-NKOTB member & has a sort of solo career). I really, really had to watch myself because I had been drinking and kept wanting to say things like "You were on my lunchbox!" or "My older sister collected all your buttons and had you on her pillowcase!" :D
He was kind of a dick, though. He was one of those guys who doesn't look at you while getting his dance, like he's too cool or whatnot. He came in with two huge, black security guards (which, IMO, was two more then strictly necessary). Although maybe they're just to shield him from ex-crazy fans....They (the guards) were the ones who communicated/paid us girls, Jordan never really spoke directly to anyone. ::)

Well, apparently I danced for John Cusack Saturday night. I could not be sure it was him but his little lapdog pulled me over to ask me to dance for the guy and told me 3 times in 30 seconds that that's John Cusack. He LOOKED like JC and had on faded makeup and tux (they looked like they had just come from some event) but I dunno. I couldn't give a shit but anyway. So I did one dance for the guy. ASSSSSSSHOOOOLLLLEEEE. That's all I gotta say.

I did two dances for Mike Epps, who did not tip, but was really funny.
Met Chris Rock, who was super nice and did not get any dances from anyone and gave me $50 for chillin with him for about 15 minutes.
Oh, I met the lead singer of Tool one time and danced for the girl he was with.

I want to add my 2 cents on Korn (referring to a much earlier post). They were coming in to my club for a few days and I was dancing for them, not knowing who they were.
When I finally asked one of them his name, he got all pissed and whined, "You don't know who I am?"
Me-"Uh, nooo....?"
Him (in the same whine)-"I'm Fieldy"
Me-"Who?"
Him (still whining)-"Fieldy"
Then he and some other douchebag, probably in Korn too, looked at me like I was something foul and walked away.
What kind of fucking name is that anyway? Asshole!

Jane Lynch?! I'm a huge fan of hers, love her in everything she's been in! No celebrities ever come to my neck of the woods although we all keep our fingers crossed for Brad Pitt...
Ok, I won't name names...because I'm about to mock someone. The drummer from a popular 90's band likes to come into our club sometimes. I've never met him, so I can only go by the talk from the other girls. Apparently, the first time he came in the girl on stage was dancing to one of his songs. He approached her after, thinking she had done it on purpose as a tip of the hat to him, and got pretty miffed when he realized she didn't know who he was. He also likes to buy drinks for the girls, then get pissy when they don't buy him a drink in return!

Haha this is funny There have been so many celebs at my club...The Fear Factor guy(HA what a dork), Artie Lang, Ron Jeremy, Nick Nolte (fucking weird....wow), pretty much every one of the Steelers (the only nice, respectable one is Max Starks)
My approach at celebs is to ignore them if they want a dance they'll ask (their never shy) None of the above list did I dance for although I did however dance for Mike Comrie, Jason Spettza (Ottawa hockey players) Georges Laraque (Pens hockey player) and a player for the Cardinals baseball team...(can't remember his name). They all approached me, paid and tipped well and were very nice. Unfortunately I did dance for Dan Kreider (Steeler) he was so stuck up he kept telling me I would eventually be his girlfriend (he was married) and didn’t tip worth a shit.

Danced for a few famous people that I didn't even realize who they were until after they left. Doesn't really bother me though, fame doesn't really make a person a good tipper or not, but it would be cool if my childhood crush came in when I was dancing. Now that would be something!
