It's like asking the question is there global warming. It's only been 100 years that we've been able to monitor it how do you know what the forcast will be in the next 1000 yrs? How do you know this isn't a cycle our planet regularly makes? Until you know the causes of it you can't realy predict it. If you say this is the apex of its lifetime, that assumes that there is an end to its lifetime. To that I say never unless human life ceases to exist.
Yes, but you can still make a model based upon the last 50+ years. I think that is what we were getting at. If you made a graph based upon these figures, you would see a sharp decline.
If everyone did what you were stating, businesses as a whole would never be able to find and correct their weaknesses as the business has not ended yet.
