^^It reads more like a magazine than a book.

I took down little notes. Last night when I was on a date I was watching our body language. So I felt like I'd learned something.

I was really bummed to find that none of the local libraries around here carry the book. I also went to my Barnes & Noble (a huge 2-story branch), and NO copies! I guess it's Amazon.com for me....

BTW: Has anyone checked out Tracey Cox's other book, SuperSex? I saw THAT one at B&N, and it looked interesting :)

Gosh, txchick008, most of us dancers don't have SEX with our customers ::)

J/K of course ;D

No, I haven't checked out the book. I haven't properly read SuperFlirt yet but if I like it I might buy SuperSex.

I got Superflirt from Half.com really cheaply, I recommend ordering it that way.

I tried to read it, but the writing style pissed me the fuck off. So did the pics. Perhaps I should give it another go.

I just got my $20 back. If you don't like women's magazines, you won't like this, either. Plus... is it just me, or isn't it kind of obvious that if someone's turned toward you, and looking you in the eye, that they're interested?

Just started the Art of Seduction, and while it seems a bit stereotyping, I think I might be able to pull something from it, much more than a book form of Cosmo.

Thank god. I'm glad someone felt the same thing. I'll check out the Art of Seduction.

^^^ Yeah, I just didn't get it, but then again I never "get" women's mags, chick flicks, ect. But... if it's working for other girls, well kudos then!

I've never gotten through Cosmo or Maxim without wanting to kill someone. Seriously, those damned magazines are the same shit for different genders.

I think what really nagged at me in SF was how she kept talking about what a shameless flirt she was. The writing was practically winking and showing its cleavage to me. GOD.

Yeah, I've always thought the same way...

Hell, if it did I might have kept the book! BEWBIES!

I did like the part where she confessed to flirting with babies, houseplants, walls... :P

That's what I did, too. It's always a good idea to buy books used if you can.

Although there have been a few times where getting the free shipping made my order cheaper if I bought new books through Amazon instead of used ones with $3-5 shipping each!:O

Ugh, I just borrowed it from my sister-in-law last week. I totally agree.

Funny story: I walked into the dressing room wed night, mid-shift. It was really dead, and three girls were reading the book (I left it there). When I asked what they thought they said it was like reading a cosmo article with really dumb pictures:D

Does anyone know if the woman in the pics is the author?

I actually love men's mags like Maxim. They continuously praise women. Sure they have pics of thin girls but they don't say tell your girlfriend she's fat and should lose 30lbs. Plus they're funny.

i grabbed a copy of superflirt the other day,and its amazing!! the first night i started to use a few of its priciples i won (lol thats what i call it it,to make the most dances/money in a night,i have only won a few times here before)
so im pretty certain other dancers here might see the benifets of reading it too.

"superflirt, written by Tracey Cox.

has all the body language things explained, what to look for in a flirting situation, what to mimic to make yourself more flirty etc.... know its probably the kinds of things most of you here already know and put into practice, but its worth a mention.

I got this book a long time ago and never even thought about using it as a stripper. I agree, the book is really good- I'm gonna have to dig it out now so I can reread it lol. It's gotta be around here somewhere...

I've read it. While lots of it was definitely annoying, it did have a lot of little tips that I found pretty useful. The part about faking eye contact by staring at the bridge of their nose, for example. I have a really hard time making constant eye contact with custies in private dances, because I feel it's a little invasive for me, and it makes me feel more vulnerable--the only time I really have that problem is in a lap dance; I'm good with eye contact everywhere else. But I read this book, then started staring at the bridge of their nose for the whole dance, which didn't bother me all, and they couldn't tell the difference. My tips increased exponentially.

Sadly, I'd have to say you wasted your money. Only because you can get the same exact information- from the author, online for free.

I went to Books a Million the other day and I was thinking about picking up a copy myself, but I'm so glad I looked through it.

I had already read all the information in her book, online in articles by Tracey Cox herself. There was absolutely no new information...

But it is a good resource nonetheless, and considering that you didn't know about the articles, you can say you made quite the deal.
