I know Arkansas quite well - I'm from Memphis, which is just over the river, and I used to take a lot of vacations in the Natural State. One of my favorite little places to run away and hide every once in awhile is Mountain View, AR.
I don't care for Little Rock though, and I don't know if there's another city big enough for strip clubs and living support. Do you know of any?
If you haven't been and you're thinking of moving to Little Rock, you should be forewarned that they have a HUGE crime rate for such a little city, and a bad gang problem. No one expects that, but there it is.

I was born in St. Louis, but raised in Cali. I am seriously considering going back out there mainly because of some of the colleges. I have always wondered how the money was out there. I'd be satisfied with $1,000 a week. :)

RS, I just moved to St Louis 5 months ago--which is perhaps why I still like it :). Yes, my club is over on the IL side of the river, but it is right off the highway, so I don't have to drive through any dangerous town. Also, none of the clubs are in E St Louis--they are in little towns like Washington Park, Sauget, & Brooklyn. I don't know about the murder rate and honestly don't want to know!
I worked in Anchorage Alaska several years back. It's not any colder there than here in the lower 48 states living in the Upper Midwest. It is very ethnically diverse in Anchorage, but really the money is not what you heard in the locker rooms. Summertime temps are in the 60's and low 70's and it is hit and miss just like here. More dancers from the Pacific Northwest are working there now, and less money spending travelers.
well to be fair, Jenna, I moved away 10 years ago... and I still know many people who live there who swear to me it has improved drastically.. especially the downtown areas... when I lived there, there was really nothing going on downtown... and the loop and UCity were just starting.. but now, apparently, there's a lot of tech companies and designer stuff in there... I'm sure it's not as bad as I remember...
here are some of the good things:
forest park and the freebies like the great art museum, zoo, etc...
Laumeier Park! Ted Drewes, Imo's Pizza!! oh man... I will admit I do miss the last two items greatly!!

I agree that Portland is a good place to work, by my standards at least. Yeah, I only make like $120 a shift on average, but it's no contact, there's a real emphasis on performing (which I think is fun), and I can dance to weird music or wear crazy outfits if I want. And there are so many clubs to choose from. Plus the cost of living is pretty low here: I have a HUGE, super cute apartment that's only $600 a month, and that's actually a lot more than most people I know pay.

I live in Dallas and love working here but for a nice change a pace I like to hop over to Vegas for what I like to call a "girls weekend working vacation"

AZ is pretty nice! Being able to tan outside almost year round has its advantages! Not to mention Scottsdale is a very sexy/metro city. Although soon enough dancing in Scottsdale will be shut down... so I guess eveyone will go a few miles down the street to Burbon St.

Favorite places to work so far: New York, West Palm Beach. Good money, exciting clubs, rich customers, and fun stuff to do when you're not working.
Favorite place to live: Portland, Oregon. It's so beautiful here! Mountains, gardens, really nice people, and affordable houses you can actually buy. Portland is the most livable place, though, because it not only has a high quality of life but all the young culture too, with good bands and art and interesting stuff going on.
Suckiest places to work: Portland (unfortunately- though it's fun and has a million strippers, you can make about $100 a night)
Suckiest places to live: New York can be overwhelming. LA and Vegas are gross and tacky. But the worst place to live is the place with no jobs and nothing but poverty- so if you need to live in a crazy city, then by all means do it!
isn't New York one of those places that's both the best place to live and the worst place to live at the same time? ;)

to some, maybe ! As a new Yorker myself, NYC is a great place to work/visit, but it's a whole lot more preferable to live across the NJ or CT state line, or in the upstate NY counties.

Love working in Philadelphia, hate living there. Traffic is horrible, people can't drive, WAY TOO MUCH sports hype, lots of obnoxious, annoying white-trash who are willing to get in a fight over the drop of a hat (sorry to any nice people from philly). Yep, thats the worst part bout it, so now I live in NEPA, which is beautiful.
LOVE North jersey..........best place evaaaaaaaaa
