Oh, just since I didn't see it mentioned here yet (maybe I missed it)....the "period" you get while on hormones, it not a "true" period, you are not ovulating. That is part of why doctors (most anyway) say it is perfectly fine to skip periods.

All it does is keep the lining of your uterus from building up for 3 months, 9 months, however long you go before having a period.

I've been on seasonale for several years now and love it.

The medical community is still debating the whole issue, and probably always will. The fact is, the reason the first pill made you bleed every 28 days, was because it was more societally acceptable, not for health reasons.

I do all the time without any major problems until I skip about three in a row. Hence my pregnancy thread. Once I do get my period, my PMS symptoms tend to be worse but once my actual period starts it's lighter, lasts less time and I get fewer cramps. That's my experience though.
