^ No, can work at a nude club/ no alcohol at 18. Move on to topless clubs at 21.

If you are under 25, you don't need a birth certificate if you have a passport.

No club will let you work without a sheriffs card and I'm pretty sure you need to be a US citizen or have a certificate of naturalization and/or a green card to get a sheriffs card.

What is the deal with getting hired on at a club, is it pretty easy or are they particular?

There are MANY different threads on this. Do a search and you'll find many. EVeryone's experience is different.

I have just moved here, and pretty mmuch anyone needs a sherif's card. If you work anywhere where there is alcohol or gaming. Which is EVERYWHERE! If you are a janitor at a 7-11 that has slot machines, you have to have one. Office worker, no, don't think so, grocery bagger at Von's with slots, yes. Waitress, yes plus a slew of other cards. Health card, and some other alcohol one. And living here is great. I think anyway. I've been coming here for 9 years, and lived here off and on 9 years ago for 2 years. It can be a beautiful city. I recomment living in Green Valley or Henderson of Summerlin areas. Very residential.

Good Luck,

1FSC

I lived in Green Valley (Stephanie and 215). It was great. ^_^ The only thing I don't like about Summerlin is the lack of access to highways. I prefer to take highways home vs surface streets, but that's my preference.

do the 18+ clubs in vegas get business?

Just to clarify, you absolutely need legal permission to work in the US in order to work in ANY club in Vegas. No club will let you work without the sherriff's card, and you MUST have all your papers in order to get that, including legal rights to work.

Las Vegas is the most heavily-regulated city I've ever seen.

I heard Marcia [Rock of Love & Charm School] say that dancers in Vegas make about 240K a year. Is this true? Or was she exaggerating a lil bit?

ehh, they prolly did a year or 2 ago- did you see those lambourghinis in the parking lot- they're dancers' cars.

saphire123456
07-28-2009, 06:55 PM
ha, thats prolly why i havent seen any this month- it seems that even thou they used to make a shit load of money they dont anymore, the vegas stripper culture is all about showing off

khadija
08-01-2009, 11:36 AM
well we dont have girls in lambos here just bentleys. :-0

Never worked in Vegas so I was just curious. I think there will always be a few that love to show off even if they can't afford it

BuxomBeauty
08-01-2009, 11:42 AM
The lambos in the parking lot were all bought on credit and those girls couldn't really afford those cars. Just showing off.

And $240k a year is a gross exaggeration.

saphire123456
08-01-2009, 05:07 PM
yeah, but i havent seen lambos in any other cities dancers' parking lots. and 240 a year isn't that much. a good friend of mine was making that before all this economy crap- she was an animal thou- she worked 6 days a week.

BuxomBeauty
08-04-2009, 02:28 AM
No other city is as big on flash and showing off as Vegas. And lots of people were buying way out of their means with the easy credit that was previously available. Doesn't mean those girls were really making that much money. It's all part of the facade in the image capital ;)

Who wants to take bets on how many of those cars have been repo'ed now? lol

no one answered my post from long ago! my BC is in a foreign language/script and the US gov has the tranlated version. I'm under 25, i have an "employment authorization card" from gov, tho not my green card yet. I have a state issued photo ID, tho not a drivers licence yet, and I have a foreign passport. Planning to arrive soon in Vegas for winter.
So... can i get my sheriffs card or not?

Im curious, Im from Canada. What do I need if I want to work in Vegas?

Is it worth a 2-4 week trip to work there from Canada, or are the chances of being hired as a CND dancer very slim?

4everresolutions

^Slim. Unless you have a SSN.

You'd need the American version of a SIN to get the Sheriff's card I'm sure....Any place that will take you in illegally may not be the type of place you'd wanna work.

There was a girl who worked at FYEO with me who did the Britney Ireland SuperStripper Boot camp and was able to work in the states as a Canadian citizen. Maybe send her a message and ask how she managed that? Don't want to completely shoot down the idea if there's a slight chance of opportunity.

You can to the hospital where you were born and request one. That's what I did. I had to fill out a form, and show my drivers license and S.S. card. I received the copy about 15 minutes later. However, some states may be different when it comes to the location of where to obtain a copy of your birth certificate.

If you're working at Rhino grab SCOPE while you're at the finger printing place for your sheriffs card. It's only $8 but it was a hassle having to go back the next day.

I've worked at Sapphire quite a bit. If you're already there you know the answer to this already. You want to work fast there. There are a lot of girls and it's very big and open, like a warehouse (use to be a gym from what I've heard). The staff expects you to tip them big, but they're nicer there than Rhino (worst club as far as how you're treated, but many girls bank there... I never saw the big deal cuz it's so packed that a lot of people have nowhere to sit and I feel awkward approaching guys who are standing.. very cut throat girls, trying to talk to guys you're sitting with etc). Both clubs have high house fees at night and Sapphire's drinks are really expensive if you ever buy your own drink ($20 champagne). You'll make the most if you can get them up to skyboxes, but those are pretty spendy and also very private. I did the best in regular vip booths downstairs bec/ it's very comfy and layed back, so guys get settled in. Push for the hours... Let me know if you have any other questions..

I'm thinking about dancing in VEGAS and wondering if anyone has tips on--
1. Nice/Decent and inexpensive hotels to stay at that are still fun and near/on the strip?

2. I've got an Exotic Far Eastern look ..any clubs I would do better at? I'm pretty slim but do have a bit of a "big butt" so are there any clubs that might work better for me/may not take me on that I should avoid?

As I'm writing this Summer of 2013 and looking to head to LV in a month or two have things changed in terms of what documents I will need to obtain to work? Can someone please clarify what I need to obtain and how much the costs are now since I'm guessing laws and fees may have changed in the past few years since this thread first started?
Thanks!!

It took me forever and a day to figure out how to apply for this business license online, but I have it now.

Go to this website: http://nvsos.gov/index.aspx?page=423 for info about such license.

There is a link on that site to SilverFlume website where you apply for the license, https://www.nvsilverflume.gov
On SilverFlume I select "Start Your Business - Get a State Business License - Sole Proprietor -Arts,Entertainment,Recreation -Code 711510(Independent Artists, Performers), etc"

Then pay $200 Debit/Credit Card.

Hope this helps others

I've heard that the Tuscany is a good hotel price wise, not sure how fun it is but it is close to the strip. They have suites so you don't have to buy as much food since you can cook in your room.

Not sure about where you'll get hired but Spearmint Rhino and Sapphire seem to be the most popular top tier clubs so try them out first.

You'll need a sheriffs card to work here and SCOPE if you decide to go with Spearmint Rhino. It doesn't hurt to have your business license as well. To get the sheriffs card you need your birth certificate (especially if you're under 25), id or drivers license, and social security card. I wasn't born here so I had to use my passport. The sheriffs card is 40 dollars and scope is 8.

Other things you need in Vegas to succeed:
You actually need to have looks. This is fantasy at it's best and worst.
You need to work fast and be flexible.
Don't gamble. Avoid the casinos!
Marketing yourself helps!

I really want to work in Vegas, but I'm not sure if I should wait or go out and apply now. My birthday falls toward the end of January and it is now in the middle of November, so I'm not sure if I will need to renew by then if I apply now, or if I should just wait until after my birthday and go apply in February. Also, being over 25, is a birth certificate absolutely necessary if I have a passport, SS card, and state ID already?

I hope my question is understood. I just don't want to get the licenses now and then have to renew and pay all over again in two months.

I am guessing you mean sherriff card. your renewal is based on when you receive your card, not by the end of the year. it also is valid for a few years(3 or 4, i think).you ABSOLUTELY need a birth certificate if under 25 years old, no exceptions.

Also, you'll need to get hired by a club before you can get either. Once you get hired, the club will provide all the instructions on where to go. Plan on spending the better part of a day getting both.

I love sex toys. Thanks for the review. I was just searching for this information for a while. There is obviously a lot to know about this.
