-ErnestoAh so you're basing your knowledge of stripclubs world wide on the ONE cloub you go to as a CUSTOMER. Remind me to tell my mechanic that since noone uses prestone antifreeze in my house...that no one uses it anywhere. I think that will go over like a fart in church.

Yeah, sorry, "Crazybitch' is one I have seen them fight over, though there have been worse for that, and i don't recall them using appliances on that occasion...
I'd pay the DJ not to play that tripe for me. Fortunately, I'm usually too busy doing other things than worrying about what music gets played. ;)

im just saying given the content of the song
why would anyone dance to it?
aparently in the 5 clubs i frequent no one

Yeah, I've seen chicks have fits to dance to "Crazy Bitch". It's a funny song really. Every club I go to there is a moment each night I look up to see who won that song for the evening.

yeah, the first time I heard / saw HIM's cover of 'Wicked Game' I knew that this was a band whose music would absolutely work in clubs !
also, from the standpoint of my 'historical' music tastes, Ville Valo of HIM appears to be the 'heir apparent' ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4a2HxGr_ds
HIM kicks ass, but the stuff from the new CD isn't as sexy as their older stuff. :(
Thankfully they just started recording another album.
And I am so guilty of the "Crazy Bitch" overplaying. ;)

Let's remember that we are dealing with many different tastes, here--the customers, the owners, the managers, and of course the women who are performing onstage. I'm lucky to play a significant percentage of music I really and truly want to hear right then, on any given night.
So while it's all well and good to say here that a song sucks donkey balls--that's your opinion.
What I think is tripe might be a big moneymaker in another club, for another DJ and the dancers he or she work with.
To each their own...

i just dont like that song by buck cherry here are the lyrics
you might see why i personally dont like the tune lol
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buck Cherry "crazy bitch"
ALL RIGHT...........
Break me down, you got a lovely face we're going to your place and now you got to freak me out
Scream so loud, getting f*cking laid you want me to stay but I got to make my way
Chorus:
Hey you're crazy bitch but you f*ck so good I’m on top of it
When I dream I’m doing you all night scratches all down my back to keep me right on
Take it all, the paper is your game you jump in bed with fame another one night paid in full
You’re so fine, It won’t be a loss cashing in the rocks just to get you face to face
(Chorus)
Get the video, f*ck you so good
Crazy Bitch, Crazy Bitch, Crazyyyy Bitch
(Chorus)
Baby girl you want it all to be a star you’ll have to go down
Take it off no need to talk your crazy but I like the way you f*ck me
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
sorry im lame lol

Industrial Goth genre, and definately slowish but not too slow and dark and oddly catchy.
Emilie Autumn "I want my Innocence back" (the background electronic reminds me of NIN, too).
"I heard it all" Is ok if you can get past the sluggish start.

alright, hoping someone can help me out with a track I really want to play... it would be "other shit..." politcal reggae-ish... "revolution never (something something)" revolution (something something)" and the chorus has a lot of "oh's" and some 2nd wave sounding horns... sorry it's so vague... I heard it twice on indie 103.1 in so.cal, looked all over their site and can't find it. anyone have any idea what i'm talking about? song mentions revolution at the beginning of each lyric, then discusses Iraq, oil, world politics. funky and catchy.... no idea what it is. thanks!

heh...it's nice to see that combichrist has made at least a few of your lists 'enjoy the abuse' is probably the hottest song i've ever heard- i was starting to think i was insane...i'm all over the new album right now...i'm liking 'red' and 'shut up and swallow' a whole lot, and any version of get your body beat is a great song to work out to...probably a little high energy to dance to though
i've been thinking about using some icon of coil ("remove/replace" and "simulated") and panzer ag ("tip the dancer" "moerketid") and dj scandy ("down" "one naked nation") as well (same guy - fabulous voice, musical genius)
and i'll definitely second finger eleven's paralyzer
vnv nation - chrome, cold (rated r mix), industrial love
ohgr - water
and one - get you closer
covenant - bullet (club mix), stalker (i like the 'goth mix' version)
zeromancer - flirt
eisbrecher - eisbrecher, fanatica, herz steht still, pretty much anything actually
kmfdm - these boots were made for walking, hau ruck, preach/pervert
and i'm sure there's more, but that's probably more than enough for now (i'm a bit of a music junkie)

Eisbrecher - Zeichen Der Venus

two new albums I grabbed this week:
Chevelle:Vena Sera-Much heavier than their previous efforts but still quite playable. The first track "Antisaint" is the best Tool song I've heard in awhile. Seriously, he bites Maynard's voice almost eerily perfectly... good track though.
Static X:Cannibal-I loved their first two albums, then they lost me with the most recent two. This one is a return to form, all disco-metal-stompy-screamy-RAWR punch walls for an hour drive really fast type of thing. I jammed it all the way home last night. Wayne just SCREAMS for the whole album. I dont know if any of it would work in the club, and lots of the songs are really short, but I enjoyed it. It's very "Land Of Rape And Honey" era Ministry in places, only more...I dunno....RAAAAAAAAWRRR.

Thanks for the Static X review. The last album sucked my butt. I want more RAWR.
Is there any new club-playable, dance-able rock out there? I'm desperate for some sexy guitar and a funky groove to fuck to.

New NIN:Year Zero
Eh...I listened to it twice all the way thru, and it was difficult not to skip tracks. It's okay, some of the beats/sounds are nifty but overall I think it all sounds too similar, and his voice is yawny and monotone most of the time. There are a couple of standout tracks, but for club play it's a little bit "noisy" sounding. It's also a very political album, by far the farthest they've gone in that direction. I dunno, maybe it'll grow on me but right now I'm just "meh."

Okay..I'm really not being a dick here, but this thread is called NEW rock/other shit. NEW being the key word. So would it be too much to ask if people stop posting 5-10-15-25 year old songs? Anything within a couple of years is fine, IMHO, since it takes a bit for things to filter down, but. C'Mon. This isn't the "just post the rock you happen to like" thread. Blade, Djoser, feel free to yell at me if I am oversteppin', but WTF. Am I wrong?
PS: Evan_essence ain't lying. KHZ are pretty damned good, They played at Dracula's Ball here in Philly a few months ago. It gave me a ...sorta Snake River Conspiracy vibe.

I agree with you, MrC.
Please, people--try to limit your postings about 'New rock' to stuff that's not more than a couple years old--and even that's probably too old, really. Fifteen, twenty year old songs have no place being listed here at all.
