Don't count me in yet, but I will most likely be there baring any unforseen difficulties. The question being: Can SW handle TOO, and CO in the same place....let alone the whacky goofyness of Mast?
Mast!Bitch get your punk ass to vegas
If the world survived AinNY, CO, AGuy and Me in one place Vegas can withstand yer goofyness

For a vacation I'm not going to, I'm sure having fun looking at the wacky results I find on these travel websites. When I do go out there again I'm really gonna have to do my homework.
If I were going, I could actually stay for six nights, (May 24-30) cheaper than I can stay for three (May 26-29) byflying in/out on the right days. Ahh, the power of off peak pricing!! Get a load of these quotes off Vegas.com :
Stratosphere
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 3 nights (5/26-5/29) = $624.48
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 6 nights (5/24-5/30) = $489.48
Golden Nugget
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 3 nights (5/26-5/29) = $676.48
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 6 nights (5/24-5/30) = $633.48
Riviera
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 3 nights (5/26-5/29) = $692.48
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 6 nights (5/24-5/30) = $594.48
Gold Coast
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 3 nights (5/26-5/29) = $760.48
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 6 nights (5/24-5/30) = $652.48
Excalibur
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 3 nights (5/26-5/29) = $881.48
Roundtrip airfare from Wichita to LV + 6 nights (5/24-5/30) = $856.48
So if you are going, and can afford the time to spend an extra day or three and take in the sights, there may be significant savings in flying out a day or two early, and/or heading home on Tuesday, although I understand six days is probably more Vegas than some people can handle.
Anyways, I hope all you attendees have a blast. Wish I could come with you.
:P

TFD: It's the 26th-29th. Anyone is welcome to come in whenever you want but seems most of us will be coming on Friday the 26th.
Mast: BRING YER ASS!!! Marriott for $39/night is great and the limo will be cheap/free so we'll just cuff you and stuff you in it if we have to :P
And, DAMMIT! Who's in for the dune buggies??? I sooo wanna do that!

I really want to go, but I don't know....it's expensive and it's very close to my mega vacation most awesome trip ever. I'm doing a 12-day cruise in the Mediterranean on June 18th.
I guess I'm going to have to pass :(

That's what I said! And if Miss Emily didn't have to stay at the fanciest places in town, it wouldn't be so expensive :P :P :P
But seriously Em, you suck!
Emily
04-05-2006, 04:13 PM
I suck, and yeah I'd want to stay at a nice place. It's still freaking expensive to stay at dumpier place, when everything is factored in. I don't take off work very often, so when I do, I like to do it right. I'm the type of person that would rather take one really cool trip, than lots of okay ones.
now I'm going to walk away with my nose in the air, being the hotel snob that I am.
and did I mention that it was a Crystal cruise? :P

Okay, someone suggest Wild Wild West in one of their posts...Do NOT stay there. It smells like piss and has got to be the most depressing hotel/motel I've ever seen. Even the Motel Six (which is right across the street from the MGM is like two or three steps up from
The Emerald Suites are nice, and have a bedroom/livingroom/kitchen. I liked staying there because it was quiet, on the smaller side, and had a kitchen which I really like having on vacations. BUT-- there isn't a casino.
I like Palace Station but the cheaper rooms are sold out on Saturday. Don't forget to hit Olympus Gardens, Osaka Restaurant (great sushi and open until 2 a.m.), and the Paris Buffet!

I'm not sure about the chocolate panties in the end of May. But then again, that could be an activity in and of itself!
Fuzzy dice though, you got it!

Eh...damn. Next time can we plan a tad bit further ahead? Mox and I would be game, but it's super hard for him to get off work on a weekend. I want to meet up with everyone, but a little more notice would be helpful! (I'm not being bitchy or anything, by the way. I'm just saying...)

What I have noticed EVERY time we've tried to plan something further in advance, it doesn't work out. Strippas, ya know? :P
It's much easier to create and maintain excitement when it's shorter notice, which means people are more likely to actually show up.

I understand...believe me, I do. It may just be the timing- having a meeting on a holiday weekend and coming into summer (when Mox gets busy at work) just isn't a good time for us to skip town. :P Even 2 1/2 month or so would probably give us time to make it (in the future, that is).
You know...it sucks, too. Our local airport just started (like, TODAY) doing flights to Vegas...ROUND TRIP...for $150. :(

The "Miss Exotic World Pageant and Striptease Reunion" is that weekend! It used to be held at Dixie Evans' Exotic World museum in the Mojave desert but it's gotten so big they're moving it to Vegas. 70 year old Burlesque stars live on stage!!

I'd go but I'm still an inch to 21. And I think Vegas would not be worth it without being 21! It'd probably be far too blond of me to book a vacation hinged on a fake id too. haha. Have fun all! Lots of pictures for us enjoying it vicariously please!

I don't know, I'm kind of with TOO on this one, mainly because I can't imagine going to Vegas and not enjoying a five-star hotel in a town chock-full of them. I'd like to hop in the elevator to the spa for my massage, you know? Plus I totally require highspeed internet access and 24-hour room service no matter what. I don't drink and I only like to bet on sports, so for me it's going to be pretty much about the hotels and restaurants.
Oh, and duh, the strippers.
edit:
if someone wants to put me up in the above-mentioned 5* place, I'll invite Kat to room with me and let you watch us take a bubble bath.
Be careful with offers like that. I'd put the two of you up wherever you want, but when Nic is with me, I'd be too sexually exhausted to even watch. We'd have to film it for broader release at a later date.
Anyway, it looks like the Bellagio will be our formal base of operations, so I'm sure you will be pleased with that (Bridgette is the boss here, and people can stay wherever they want, of course, but we will likely use the B as our gathering place, since several of us will be there and it's centrally located). More spas, shops, 24-hour room service and pampering than you may be able to handle, Susan.

So, uh, when do we girls meet without the boys for our spa massages and pedicures?? Hehe :P I'm sure the boys can find something in Vegas to entertain themselves without us for a couple hours in the meantime....
And, I ask again: Is anyone else up for dune buggies??? We have to book in advance and I reeeeaally wanna go! I can't be the only one interested in that, surely??? If you are, lemme know so I can get a count and see what group deal we can get. Unlike the hotels, they apparently DO discount for group bookings.

For all you who want further notice: Perhaps we'll make this an annual thing in LV. Every year for Memorial Day weekend. THAT should give everyone plenty of time to plan.

The only thing that would keep me from going is the fact that I wouldn't really know anyone & I tend to be shy :shy: around cute girls... but it's nothing that a little alcohol won't cure! :beer2:

OK, I am not so up for the dune buggies, B, sorry. I am very interested in seeing Miss Exotic World on Saturday night, though, and this particularly cheesy-sounding topless revue, Erocktica (http://www.harrahs.com/our_casinos/rlv/entertainment/entertainment_detail_04.html).

A Crystal Cruise? Damn! That is seriously like THE best big-ship cruise line out there. You will have a blast and not want to go home because you will be spoiled rotten.
As for Vegas, you can bunk with me if you like. I have a Strip view room with two double beds booked at the Four Seasons and while it's not cheap, it's actually not that much more than staying somewhere less nice. The Four Seasons also includes a lot of cool stuff that Bellagio nickel and dimes people for, like POOL CABANAS!!!! Woo hoo!
In case you're wondering, I'm actually not nearly as awful as you might think. I bathe at least weekly and I'll probably be playing blackjack down at Mandalay Bay 18 hours a day as it is. The offer's open if you want it...

I'm with PJ on that one. I say we have one in...I dunno, Atlantic City or something. That way it's not too far for anyone around the tristate area to attend. Sorry for the threadjack. I cant go to Vegas again without the wifey, and we'd have to get a sitter, airfare, etc. It would be entertaining though. Shots of AssJuice at the DoubleDown!

Nina, I'll be joining you at that blackjack table!!! Don't have anything booked yet, but fairly certain we *me and bf* are going, and dammit we better have some fun cuz I'm sick of Utah!
Bridgette, I almost guarantee my bf would be down for dunebuggies, not sure I am though :)

Well, I'll take ND and brat's bf dunebuggy ridin. HAHAHAHAHAHA
I'm thinking Saturday morning before it gets too hot. And then we could go for a nice massage after ;D
Speaking of airfare, if you're going to fly in, I STRONGLY suggest booking the flight ASAP because they'll be sold out and/or superhigh-priced before you know it. There's already limited availability for the prime flights.

I may be up for dunebuggy riding Brit. What are the details of it? Also, I should have the F-Car tuned up and back by then so if anyone wants to have a fun day driving around Vegas with the top down (I mean the CAR silly!) then that's always a possibility.
As for Blackjack, I've grown to be a bit tired of it. My father just retired this year from dealing it for 31 years at Caesars if you can imagine that. Poker on the other hand....

Actually, the dune buggy thing sounds like fun. Being from the cold north I am not sure how well I will hold out in that kind of heat. How hot are the mornings?
I think I might yawn at burlesque, though.

I've got to ponder this one a bit. While it looks like fun, the end of May is pretty hot in Vegas. It will probably be pushing close to or over 100 degrees and while I was born and raised here in Vegas, I don't do heat very well.

We decided on a Hummer stretch limo for both Friday and Saturday nights. We'll have it pretty much all night on both nights. Sure, we'll look like Three 6 Mafia out on the town, but we gotta have it to get around the strip and out to the clubs. It will get us to dinner and the clubs, and then take everybody to their own hotel rooms/houses/crash sites at about 4:00 AM (yeah, well, probably around dawn).
Or we could pretty much take it wherever we wanted to on those nights.
Anyway, it only seats 25, so please save your free limo spot with Bridgette because it will fill up fast. And make your plane and hotel reservations NOW because the city is already filling up. The Bellagio will be our gathering spot to go out, but you don't have to stay there -- we'll use the limo to get you back to wherever you are staying.
