Saturday we have the dinner at Mix. One other cool thing is that when we are done with dinner we have free admittance to the ultra-lounge it's connected to when we're done. Will be a lot of fun.

Okay, we're locking up the reservation for Saturday at Mix. I think everyone is really going to enjoy it and they are making some very special accomodations for us consicering the size of our party on a holiday weekend. We need to make a decision here very quickly though because of this being a large group, we have a set menu and it's going to be a lot more expensive than Bridgette originally thought. The dinners are going to run from between $100-$180 PER PERSON and that's not including alcohol. This is a set menu of set options that I can post here if anyone is interested so we need to take a vote here and if everyone is cool with this, then I'll sign the contract. If not, then I'll search for a Plan B. Just be aware Bridgette that this dramatically exceeds our $20 per person budget. Please let me know everyone ASAPbecause we have to get the contract signed by Friday.

I'll come and hang out with everybody, but there's no way I'm gonna pay that much money for a meal, especially with no alcohol! Y'all have fun. :P

Ahaha if im there there is no way in hell im paying over $100 for one bloody meal. Maybe money is better for ya'll in the states but up here $100 could feed 3 people.... and have leftovers lol. So umm im with Yek... count me out for dinner.

I'm working on getting us setup at the Hofbrauhaus which I think will not be as nice but probably moreso in the fun department. I think it will be a lot more accomodating price-wise so I'll let everyone know as soon as I get a quote from them which should be today or tomorrow.

Everything is relative Cally. In Vegas $100.00 can buy dinner for 10 people at one place and a restaraunt in the same hotel $100.00 wouldn't buy you appetizers.

Yeah, if on the slight chance Dea and I make it...there's no fuckin way I'm spendin 100-180 per person for dinner. I don't know what kinda money you make in Vegas, but for 180 my family can eat for 2 weeks

OKAY...I went ahead and changed us over to the Hofbrauhaus which is right across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel. From the south end of the Strip, you're looking at 5 minutes by cab. We will have our own private room and it will be a total blast. Their food is great there and a LOT more affordable. Figure with salad, entree, dessert, and a beer or two you're looking at about $25-$30 at the very most. We can also be as loud and roudy as we want...my bet is we're going to be pretty loud and roudy. :) So, we're all locked up for the Hofbrauhaus! I know you had your heart set on The Mix Bridgette, but I think this will be a better choice in the long run.

If you want to see their menu in advance, here is the link:

Oh now Yekhefah, you know very well that you're not paying anything for dinner or drinks, whether we do the Mix at Mandalay Bay; Le Cirque at Bellagio or the Hofbrauhaus.

I think we've already agreed that dinner will be free to the participants.

The real question is what restaurant do you want if price is no object? What DW is counting on is that a high-end restaurant, with its fabulous food and views, may be awesome for Saturday night, we may want to have a restaurant that gives us some serious elbow room to get loud and out of control.

I'm good with whatever you all decide -- I have a real soft spot for high-end restaurants (and so does Bridgette, it seems) but I can see the wisdom in DW's view, too.

Blade, you have to come to this one. Forget about guilt; buy the dancers drinks if it makes you feel any better. We just want to make it easier for everybody to attend, that's all.

Dine & dash?

Sure. We all dine, everything is paid for, and we dash off to the Rhino in our limo and hang out in VIP for a few hours.

Which reminds me: What clubs do people want to visit? I have my personal preferences, but let's get the vote going there, too.

I'm still really hoping to see Miss Exotic World, but naturally I would choose to hang out with everyone in a strip club if I just had to . . . I wish I had to make choices like this all the time.

Memorial Day weekend. Friday night May 26 - Sunday May 29.

YES, these dates are confirmed since most of us have ALREADY booked our travel.

If you haven't booked your travel, and you're planning to go, you BETTER start booking or you will not find anything available (or at least not at a price below nosebleed).

Mix, with it's incredible views, would be a once in a lifetime experience for those attending. However, given the price you might as well have it here in the Napa Valley. The French Laundry is "only" $175 for the tasting menu w/o alchohol, and it was just chosen the 4th best restaurant in the WORLD. TOO mentioned Le Cirque, I think something at Bellagio overlooking the fountain would rate a close second to Mix and the food would be considerably better. I'll shut up now and let DW and TOO work it out.

All I can say is we need a descision quickly on the restaurant. I have two open reservations right now and a contract needs to get signed within 24 hours or we're going to most likely lose both of them.

I thought we were booked at Hofbrauhaus DW? No? I'm cool with that, and majority seem at least ok with it, so I say go for it. Can't wait around on EVERYONE to agree; that'll never happen. Just gotta make what seems to be best decision and let everyone show up. And why wouldn't they show up?? ;D

We have AT LEAST 20 on the for sure list. I've been swamped lately but I'll get a proper attendance list going this weekend.

So...I decided to check hotel costs off the strip. If we were to stay like 25 min outside of the strip, a hotel from the 25th thru the 30th would be $210. I think we're gonna keep this in mind, cuz I really don't mind driving a bit to hang out saturday

Keep yer fingers crossed y'all!

We are booked at the Hofbrauhaus. I also still have a reservation for the Mix as well with no signed contract for them. Once I mentioned I had Hofbrauhaus locked up everyone kept changing their minds back and forth so I left them both open. I'm just going to make a commitment and say Hofbrauhaus and be done with it. They have great food at good prices (even considering that TOO is offering to buy) and it will be a lot of fun for a group like ours. It's not as nice as the Mix, but they also don't have a dress code either which I forgot to mention before. Something tells me Blade wouldn't want to wear a tie. ;) Although knowing him, he's probably outdress all of us just to prove that he can. :)

Okay, so it's Hofbrauhaus and that's final!

DW, I think you're right -- the restaurant needs to be able to handle the rowdiness of our crowd and we all need to feel comfortable there. So the Hofbrauhaus it is. Please PM me with the reservation details and we'll work out the transfer.

I get the sense that Bridgette still wants to do a dress-up night, though, and we do have three nights (we have the limo on Friday and Saturday, and we really need to come up with some kick-off for Friday). I'm thinking a dress-up formal reception at Bellagio or the Venetian or Caesar's would be hilarious -- you know, dress to stun the tourists. My biggest regret about not doing the Mix is that in my personal experience, the effect of having many stunning dancers in a formal restaurant can cause one hell of a commotion, including a lot of comped drinks, fawning waiters, staring tourists and at least a dozen husbands getting hissed at or smacked in the side of the head. At one of our recent dinners with seven dancers, in a bit of a new twist, we had two lesbians slowly trying to peel off two of the girls for themselves. You never know what's going to happen.

^ For dancers, "formal dress" = "hawt theme dress."

We could do a Boogie Nights theme, but damn, not sure I could find a suit with lapels that big. Plus, I'd be too young for Reynolds, but too old for Digler (maybe I can be "Chest Rockwell"). Gotta give this one some thought.

B., you could be Rollergirl.

CRAP! Thanks for PMing me TOO. I didn't realize so much has moved on this. Sorry B for dragging ass on this. Thank you both and DW for making it happen. Can details be PM'd to me?

As for myself, I will make this - with a guest. I'm low on cash due to taxes and haven't spoken to any said guest, but I won't miss this and I hate road tripping alone.

Edited to add: Make me + 2.

Are rooms really already filling up? Where are most people staying? CRAP CRAP CRAP! I'm feeling all time pressured now! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

:breathes deeply:
:breathes deeply again:

I can drive, that shouldn't be that bad. Vegas really knows how to suck dollars though. Argh. I will be there though. I have a friend that lives close so worst case, I can stay with him.

Also is there an interest in seeing any shows? I may be able to hook something up. I'll know by tomorrow.
