I am going but if I go to vegas without my man I will no longer have a place to live or a relationship when I get home lol... he has wanted to go to vegas for years, so it would be unfair if I go without him.
The not happening is me paying for the trip myself... we're going to split the cost now. So wtf do I get a guy turning 30 who thinks hes 20 and addicted to xbox? I am NOT buying him the xbox 360 lol!

Can't do dinner earlier - it's hard enough to get a reservation for that weekend for that many people in Vegas. It's not like we can just walk into a place with 20-30 people and get served anytime soon...
We have the dinner reservation BOOKED.
Also I read the contest is 6:30pm-1am - I dunno about the rest of ya, but I'm not interested in watching any show for that long.

Miss Exotic World is most definitely not "old strippers." It's current burlesque performers (although classic performers do show up sometimes). However, I don't want to fuck up the plans you all have artfully arranged which is why I wasn't really suggesting it as a group activity. It's just something I personally am interested in, though like I said earlier I don't want it to be at the expense of everything else.
Can we condense all of the planned activities into a post/PM for a schedule?

Did that.
Kinda hard to get a full itinerary when we can't even get a good attendance count
The idea TOO had for Friday night was a 'reception' party at one of the Bellagio bars, which I think is good. We can then take the limo to where ever we want to go later in the evening.
Saturday night will be the BIG night, where we'll meet up at Bellagio at (I think) 8pm, pile into the limo and head to dinner at Hofbrauhaus then out on the town. I imagine on at least one of those nights we'll hit up a SC or 2. I think we should do the dressup on Saturday. Bf and I will NOT be doing formal - at this point I say let it just be DRESSED TO KILL night, and let everyone get creative - as HAWT/wild/dressy as they dare.
Several girls have expressed interest in a spa thing, so I'm suggesting we take over one of the spas for a couple hours Saturday afternoon
Sunday I'm thinking meet up for lunch/brunch and maybe a little strip terrorizing, then let everyone do what they want that night. Some want to do poker, some may want to do other stuff. No need to have a set plan for that night I think.
There will be more concrete plans as we get closer to the date, and better head counts.
As for the limo, TOO has graciously booked it himself and offered to pay for it. I think it's only fair then, that the rest of us plan on getting the tip for the driver. We will have the limo for 6 hours per night, so I was thinking something like $20 each for tip? Somebody speak up if I'm way out of line there. $20 * 25 people would be $500 tip for the driver. Seems more than reasonable to me for 6 hours. I know we'd spend alot more on taxis, so I'd have NO problem tipping the driver a bit more...
Dinner -
Friday night: not sure yet. I know most of us are flying in that day so we might have to do our own dinner that night - $: whatever you want to spend.
Saturday night: DW has said it should cost us about $30/person for food and a drink or two.
As for the rest, this week I'll be looking into what it would take for a group to do a spa thing Saturday afternoon, as well as getting ideas from DW and others on where to have lunch on Sunday. Will post updates as I get them.
Friday night: meet, greet and party.
Saturday - spa trip for those interested.
Saturday night: Dinner at Hofbrauhaus then out on the town.
Sunday: poker tourney for those interested.
Meeting location for both Friday and Saturday nights at Bellagio. More plans as we get a little closer and get better head counts.

Thank you! Now, all I know is I would like to maybe, just maybe, hit a strip club on Friday night. Gosh, I hope we get a chance to do something like that . . . as far as dinner and such on Saturday I guess I will have to bag MEW. I hate to do so but my whole reason for going to Vegas is to meet you folks so there you go.

I'm workin him! I think he's a little worried that I may go a little "too" crazy! lol plus he thinks that I'd ditch him to play with all the girls. i told him there will be guys too..it's just hard to get him to meet strangers....especially ones off the internet haha.
it would be SWEET if we could get in on his parents timeshare at trendwest resorts! it's just a couple of miles down from the strip and the amenities are great!

LOL @ above
Susan, I can't imagine we'd do a whole night of partying in Vegas without going to a strip club. I know it's on my list of things to do, and I think TOO will demand it ;D
Head count: as far as I know it hasn't changed much since last post. We're at 20-25. I have been so busy with work, job hunting and moving (yes, again) that I haven't had time to update as much as I'd like on this. But I haven't gotten any major change notices, so previous post(s) with attendance list still pretty much applies. I just don't have time right now to find it, but I think it's a few pages back...I should put up a webpage with all the info I have on that so everyone can just look at that. But then if I post it in this thread it will get buried and everyone will still be asking where's the link. Heh. I'll think of something - this needs a solution...

Ok sorry. I think the recent job stuff has screwed up my funny meter lately :(
I've created a yahoo group for us. There are polls created for people to show attendance, etc. I've put the general event dates on the calendar, and as we get other concrete plans I'll add those to the calendar as well. I think this will make it easier for everyone to see what's going on.
If you're coming, can you PLEASE join the group and vote in the polls? Plllleeeeaaasseee??? That would make things MUCH easier for those of us trying to keep up with all the details...
Joining and voting may be a small pain in the ass, but it's a one-time deal and then you have easy access to all the info, voting, etc from now on.
PRYCE: Can we possibly do Blue Man Group on Sunday night for those who aren't into the poker thing?
Attendance list: Add TigersMilk to the list and I think rusdancer+2 are out...

question--do we have to know ahead of time what services we are getting at the spa, or can we decide on the day of? are we getting some package where we all get the same thing for a certain price?

Susan, I can't imagine we'd do a whole night of partying in Vegas without going to a strip club. I know it's on my list of things to do, and I think TOO will demand it ;D
Now there's a safe bet.;)
We'll have time to hit the SCs on both Friday and Saturday night. I'd suggest that we poll everybody to check on club preferences. I agree with Kat that we should hit Club Paradise, a highly underrated club, but we have to get to the Rhino at some point. Other than that, I'm sure we are all totally open to other suggestions. Also, if we have any SW-ers actually working that night, well, we'll have to go take care of them, of course.
One other thought -- the reason for the limo was that it gives us a lot of travel options on Friday and Saturday nights to do -- and go -- wherever we want. So we should feel free to take advantage of that flexibility.
I just joined the Yahoo group -- thanks, B, for setting that up.
Casual Observer

Stripclubs: I like Paradise; Rhino is OK.

sorry if this was already covered.Good question bikini; I was wondering the same thing actually. DW?
Clubhopping: I was assuming we'd hit at LEAST a couple different clubs each night, considering we'll have the transportation covered...was thinking we'd leave that to plan later. Unless of course someone has some specific party deal we should go for...

Damnit... the more I read about the spa day the more I want to do it.. but budget DEFINATLY will not be allowing that
Most high-end spas have menus of options that give you a huge range of choices, so don't be discouraged by cost. You can spend $50 in a Vegas spa or $2,000. It's up to you, where you want to go, how much time you have, and what you want to do when you are there.
One thing to keep in mind is that it's not the spas, the gambling, the clubs, the shows or even the restaurants that will get your wallet in Vegas. It's the shopping. I've been amazed every time I go there how the quality of goods and the range of choices improves each time. I swear that it's only a matter of time before Vegas creeps up on NYC in overall range. Vegas will never be a trend setter or a fashion capital, but damn if they have not made huge strides in the last few years.

Cally-- On the website for that spa, it shows that they have a few things that aren't expensive, like a massage for around $30-40. I think I'll get something like that.

I think I'm going for some serious pampering. I have never done a real spa trip so I figure this is the time to do it! I want one of the package deals ;D
Anybody up for a couple's delite package? I'd really like to get that and a pedicure 8)

What, your guy isn't into the spa? I'd totally do it (Mr. Wayward would too but he isn't accompanying me on this trip). Sounds lovely. And geez, their prices are a total deal, you guys, even before the sweet discount DW negotiated for us.
Cally
05-04-2006, 11:17 PM
I agree DW got us a sweet deal and their prices are pretty good. Im just on a tight budget. I dont care though.. im going to Vegas and im going to party and have lots of sex with my man... plus the best part is ... I DONT HAVE TO WORK!!!!! Wahooooooo!!!! This will be the longest time i've had off from work since I started dancing.

The bf won't be going to the spa with me - I was kinda hoping one of you girls might want to go for the couples thing with me. I don't think we really have to be a couple, just two people ;D I just reeeaallly like the sound of that particular treatment package :P and $225 for a 3hour treatment sounds like a deal to me. And the discount will cover a nice tip for the service provider!
Cally
05-04-2006, 11:49 PM
Bridgette I cant promise but there might be a slight possibility I can do the couples thing with you :P We'll see... we're booking our tickets on weds if all goes well with our cc payment... we're finishing paying the cc on monday and should be able to book by weds. So once I book i'll let you know.

Btw DW: Do we have/need to get some reservation going for the spa deal? To pick us up at the hotel say, around noon?
I just spoke with the owners and they asked if we could get them an accurate head-count and give us some idea as to what kind of services everyone is interested in. Since it's a larger group coming in at one time, it helps with staffing. The limo holds six people so if our group is more than six, he suggested picking three or four people up at one time, taking them down to the spa (which is about 15 minutes away from the Strip) and then going back to get Group 2. This helps pace things out a bit. So, we need to get a head count first, then we need to figure out who is getting what. Also, we need a universal pickup/dropoff point. Did you guys agree on Bellagio?
So, if you're going to the spa for sure, please PM me with these details and don't post them here as it gets too complicated sifting through all the posts. PM me and I'll get it organized. Sound good?

"Okay, someone suggest Wild Wild West in one of their posts...Do NOT stay there. It smells like piss and has got to be the most depressing hotel/motel I've ever seen."
Oh oh. I am going the week before Memorial Weekend and I have a room booked at Wild Wild West. The week before, I am going to Vegas but will be staying at The Palace. Shit! I wish I found this board earlier...
DancerWealth

There are NINE people who said in the Yahoo group that they are absolutely going to the spa and only TWO people have PMed me as per my request. The spa needs to know for sure who is coming and for what package. If I do not receive a PM from you by Thursday night, you will not be going. Sorry, but they have to get things ready for a group like ours especially considering they're picking everyone up by limo. So, if I don't hear from you by Thursday night, sorry, but you cannot be included.
