How about I bought a bottle of Maybelline Shine Free Oil Control makeup in Caramel that is a PERFECT match to my skintone. I've never had any foundation look this good (unless by a MUA) the best part was that I bought this foundation at the 99c store..It's all about preference at the end of the day.

I like to be versatile with my looks. In the summer I prefer a more dewy complexion so I will apply a luminous foundation or concealer with light reflecting particles. If I am having a shit day and my skin looks like crap I might prefer a foundation which is slightly more opaque. Other times I will prefer medium coverage. Most drug store brands don't offer a broad range of foundation texture's for WOC. I also find that cheaper brands may look great on the face, in the house or out and about but when you are on camera or on film.. Uh uh you get a whole 'nother look. :O

I've had best results with Loreal foundation, H2O eyeshadow, Covergirl mascara and Loreal blush and I use Mac lipstick and lipliner and Annabell eyeliner.

Yea a different brand for everything lol. I love big red porn star lips for stage so I find Mac is the best for that... everything else I looked for what would last during a shower show.. this is the mix that has worked for me. l

I like Urban Decay eyeshadows, and you can't beat their primer potion. For lipsticks/glosses I think a lot of things work but more expensive brands do seem to have more selection and more vivid colors. Often more expensive lipsticks tend to have nice ingredients like jojoba oil, shea butter and grapeseed oil but there are a few cheaper ones that do, too.

For foundation I use Everyday Minerals. It doesn't have talc like a lot of the new, crappy drugstore mineral makeups but it's way cheaper than Bare Minerals. Of course Everyday Minerals does not have cutesy packaging and an informercial that's on 24/7 (flip through channels, it's probably on right now). The blushes are great, too, and you need the tiiiiiiiniest bit. I paid $35 for a kit with two brushes, two foundations, a concealer, a blush and a finishing powder.

Essence of Beauty brushes rock! I have their powder brush. I felt the kabuki at CVS and it was sooooo soft.
