View Full Version : late night eating

as for getting back to the debate on eating at night, I've tried not to eat at night, like the last few hours before going to bed, and most of the time it made me miserable because I couldn't sleep because I'd be hungry. I'd rather let my stomach take extra long digesting that stuff and maybe give it a vacation from the type of digestion it does when I'm sitting or standing :D
I also let myself have more carbs at night as a treat. But, I would have to say that I'd make sure I ate a bunch of protein during the day and this wards of the physical cravings (for me) of I MUST HAVE THAT SWEET CARB!!! Now when I eat a carb item at night it's like a snack, but not like I can't think about anything else if I don't have that item.

I think you need to do what you feel works for your body...you have a better idea of what works and what doesn't. If you feel you can eat more carbs at night and your getting good results then follow it. My body if I eat carbs at night...I just get fat...no ammount of cardio or weight training changes that.
I eat starchy carbs for my first 2 meals of the day only! After that I stick to protein and veggies (which are still carbs).
If what your doing is working for you...then stick to it. We can't all eat the same way...our activity levels, stress, jobs etc...are effect out way of eating, burn calories or store fat. Some people store a lot of fat due to stress...some burn more fat when they are stressed.
We just need to remember what works for one person may not work for another.
Fancygirl I'm sorry your thread got highjacked.
Try keeping a detailed food journal...and measure yourself and weigh yourself if you use a scale. And see how your body is reacting to what your eating...this way you can get a better idea of what is working and what isn't.
Keep us posted :)

Oh, don't sweat it. It's not even my thread. I think I posted awhile back about salads at night (man, those are great!!) but I just wanted to post again but I didn't have anything to add to what ya'all were discussing earlier, so I just brought the thread back.

I'm at a new club and my hours have changed. I'm getting home between 3 and 4 am. It seems that I'm starving by the time I get home. I end up eating things I know I shouldn't just beacuse I'm so hungry then I go to bed.
What are some good things I caneat that late at night that will fill me up and that aare good for me. I don't think the pasta alfredo leftovers were the best thing for me last night!
I have that issue too Susan-Va. I eat uncooked soybeans, you know like the bean pods that are serves with sushi. I keep a package in the freezer at all times. They are low in fat, high in protien and being a finger food take more time to eat than some other things so you end up eating less.

Haha your funny. Looks like i hit a spot with that one /:O . If you followed this lifestyle, you would not have cancer. cancer is very preventable if you are eating right. But, ironically considering our ages, I guess im going to have to be the mature one here and end this, plus they sent me some kind of warning, and arguing with some washed up *** isn't worth it. I would have no problem saying this to your face btw. And I am not working as a stripper, but thats intersting you make it sound like a bad thing...not exactally the best place to talk down to strippers hun...and I am currently in school, working towards my masters in accountancy. have a nice life sweets

I have come to the conclusion you are metally deranged!
Only someone who has a severe psychological problem would write such a fucking ignorant comment.
But since your willing to say this shit to my face...message me your address...I will gladly pay you a visit and KICK YOUR ASS!
As for being 'washed up' I'm 27 years old...and have been dancing for 2 weeks!
Your mom needs to send you to a therapist!
But trust me when I'm done with you...you'll need more then therapy!
Obviously no one ever told you DON'T FUCK WITH A CANUCK!
I can kick anyone's ass anytime! BITCH!

C'mon Sassy...don't you know if you eat right and take your vitamins, you don't get cancer?
Heck, according to Tom Cruise, it prevents schizophrenia too! w00tz!
(I am so sorry you had to deal with these comments)

If vitamins prevented cancer, the pharmaceutical companies would own the planet from the profits they would make, and cancer would be virtually eliminated. Considering the incredible amounts of money poured into cancer research over the past hundred years, I feel fairly confident that if the best medical minds of our time haven't found a truly effective preventative, some chick on Stripperweb isn't going to have the answer either.

I'm sorry for my last comment...but God I can't imagine someone make a comment like that about someone having cancer. I could be as anger as hell but I would NEVER make light of someone having an illness.
I'm lucky to have survived. And I'm lucky that I am able to walk, talk and feed myself. You have no clue what it's like to be that sick. To be young and to have to be the strong one when your family and friends are falling apart. I would get so sick from Chemo I would sometimes wish that the cancer would just kill me because I couldn't handle the pain and being sick.
You can call me fat, make comments about anything else...but your crossing the line when you have the nerve to come on here and tell me I could have prevented having cancer!
Thank you everyone else...there are a lot of great people on this board.

Sassy~n~Sexy -I feel sorry for all the people who you will be treating as a "professional." Obviously you have only studied one side of the argument. I hate people who think they know everything without bothering to get all the information. Saying things which you know nothing about are boogus is really immature. .
They also say that eating a diet too low in protein causes mood swings and bitchy behavior in women...WHO'D HAVE THOUGHT?
If you want to go ahead and say that the "hallelujah diet" (whatever that is) is the holy grail (pun not intended) of diets...then you can go ahead...the rest of us will just continue to think you're an idiot.
Also, correct me if i'm wrong, but someone working on their masters in accountancy...if they even bothered to say the word "bogus" would manage to spell it right. I could be wrong though :-\ :-\
Sassy...all I have to say is CONGRATS and you look totally hot. I love the pic of you, makes me proud to be a fellow nuck :-*

Wow...mature? I hardly think so. You forgot a few letters in the front, there, honey.
Good luck in your own life. With an attitude and way of dealing with people you have, you're going to need it. >:( ::)

Thanks Tiff!
she sent me a message saying I needed to see a doctor cause I look sick. I have worked so hard to be healthy again. I have to honestly say that you have to be menatally ill to make a comment about someone having cancer...it's not funny. I hope her mom never has to watch her go through that.
Also she mentioned she was willing to say shit to my face so I asked her for her adress...all she sent was 'valley' (CA)...what a chicken shit! She is lucky she isn't sending me my address...because I would take one moment in my life and lower my self to her immature level and KICK HER ASS!
All I know is I think we have a menatally ill person working on getting her Masters in Accountancy. And she is studying the "hallelujah diet"...which is religion based. Guess she worships the devil because the God I believe in would not be too happy with her way of dealing with people.
And seeing as she is bragging about how young she is versus my 27...and calling me a washed up dancer? On a dancers board? And she doesn't dance?
Her mom would be so disgusted with her.
She's probably this big fat, pimple faced, greasy haired chick sitting behind a computer. There is no way anyone who has self esteem would talk like that. She must of gotten picked on a lot in high school.
Poor thing.

I am sorry she said that to you Sassy. Please don't let it get to you. 27 seems very young to have cancer. Even if the cunt was right, a steady diet of cheeseburgers wouldn't have "made you get cancer," at such a young age. I'm going back on my diet so I don't "catch" cancer later. LOL

HAHA! Thanks guys. I actually had cancer 10 years ago. The type of cancer I had is one of the more common adolescent cancers. I was brought up in a household where where the was no junk food, no dessert, no seconds and very healthy food choices (my mom has anorexia).
So I took my vitamins and ate my veggies...and I still got cancer.
So if she was right...then I wouldn't have gottten cancer ;)
I was pissed off but now I'm just feeling sorry for her...I can't imagine what it's like to live with a undiagnosed mental illness. Life must be a daily struggle for her ;)

Naughty_Princess sent me this:
ten year clearance..and your supposedly only 27, hmmm. I wouldn't put my actual address you fucking psyco, if anything i'd meet you somewhere, not at my house. And if you are really nutitionist, then why are you starting work as a stripper at such an old age? Aren't you a good enough nutritionist to make a living? hah i didn't think so. How can your clients even take you seriously when they look at you? you look far from professional. - anger management would be a good thing for you to look into also
Ok for someone who is getting a Master in "Accountancy" you would think she could do math?
I'm asking you to no longer message me. One of the major warning signs in mental illness is when the individual finds 'pleasure' or thinks it's humorous that someone else has suffered pain or illness.
Because I think you may be mentally ill I'm not going to bother responding to anymore of your posts. If you were a stable individual you would have had a decent mature debate about your nutritional beliefs (I can't say facts because you are not a licensed Nutritionist) that was the mature thing to do.
But to go into overdrive and drag my health and the fact that I survived cancer into this and make a joke of it is not normal.
Sometimes people use the internet as an escape from their sad world and they gain pleasure from hurting others. I think you have a serious issue and I do feel sorry for you so I'm just going to let it go. I would think someone who is talking about a DIET that is based on religion would never act the way you do. That just shows that you are someone who just reads books and claims to be an 'expert' without really doing what you preach. Because if you actually read the "Hallelujah Diet" you would know better then to act out the way you do. Obviously you were not raised with any religion...too bad.
I hope you seek a therapist in the future. And I really do hope you never get cancer...it's really not something to joke about.
Good luck to you...but please leave me alone. I don't feel good talking down to someone with a undiagnosed mental illness (and maybe you have been diagnosed and don't take your meds?)
People like you make me appreciate the life I have and the lessons I have learned.

Well...a lot of girls here have "corporate" jobs...and make a solid living. They strip for the extra income, so they can have a lot more luxuries for themselves...or to pay for things for their kids that are "extras" (i.e. private schools, sports lessons, etc).
How can the clients take her seriously? So a beautiful woman can't be taken seriously? C'mon now. If I knew a nutrionist that looked like Sassy, I'd run., not walk, to her office. A woman who is that gorgeous is doing soemthign right!

wow sassy, you are G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S like I have never seen gorgeous before.
Your body is AMAZING!!! You MUST be doing something right.
Dont even bother lowering yourself to that chick talking about stuff she has no idea about. She is clearly not in her right mind.

Jeez, all I wanted was some tips on how to eat better late at night!
Sassy, you look absolutley amazing! And hats off to you for being a survivor! I lost my sister to cancer 11 years ago when she was just 27. No one knows why cancer stirkes some people, my sister had a type of cancer that was close to lung cancer but she never smoked a day in her life. Go figure how God or that higher power works.
You are beautiful, intelligent and ALIVE! And f%*k off to anyone who wants to give you shit.
