OK....I live in and grew up in Florida. Here's teh deal.

There are roaches, and then there are palmetto bugs.

They're both gross and disgusting. Palmetto bugs are just bigger and they can fly.

That's the deal.

I don't know if this will make people feel better or worse, but when I was passing through Idaho, we happened to see a 4 inch long cockroach stranded on its back next to a Port-O-Potty. (I know. Ewwww.) We HAD to get out of the car & take a cell phone pic. I was horrified- for years, I thought the only hazards in the Rockies/ Midwest were alkaline water, Grizzlies & boring flat land. Nope, freak ass cockroaches are our here too. Six months of snow won't kill them. Nuclear winter won't kill them.
Bow to your Cockroach Overlords! (LOL)

I like roaches, they don't bother me too much, go figure. There are far bigger and badder thngs to fear.

hopefully your cat will pull its weight and take care of the problem.

I still have bad memories of an event that happened over ten years ago. I was laying in some sand. It wasn't even a beach. It was a beach voleyball court that wasn't being used. And I felt something itchy in my shirt but I just let it go. Hours later it was itching again and I reached up my shirt and it was one of those nasty fuckers.

It was just chillin there all that time. UGH!

That does it.

I'm gonna be a roach for my re-incarnation. Chasing women around the house - hanging out in t-shirts - an awesome time - awesome time. ;D

I remember seeing an entry in an old textbook of mine about how dinosaur era cockroaches were about six inches long and flew, too. That's a darned big bug.
