No gaming machines as I hoped I made that clear in my original message. It doesn't pay out at all. It is electronic game machines like tetris, pong, card games, and so forth. It is annoying as I've fallen victim twice to it now!

(Look for the name "GCGIRL" in the top scores! :) )

I didn't realise they had 'unlocked' the machines near the end of last night (Thursday was a great night btw) and nearly missed my last stage because I was playing a few of the games. It easily sucks up time. Easily.

Honestly, I'm still not a fan even tho' I've had a little fun with them. I don't think a strip club is the proper place for them.

The first time I played the electronic game machines they were not unlocked and I did use someone else's $2 to get 4 credits. The second time which was at the end of Thursday shift they were unlocked (no money required to play it). As for Thursday, pretty much everyone left with decent money that night even tho' it had a slow start.

(I personally made my money off one guy who was tipping me $20 every so often for hanging out with him and then $50 at one point because, according to him, I was being loyal amongst the podium tips and the one lap dance I did that night.)

We all were thinking that we wouldn't make too much at one point (due to the slow start to the night) because people were saving themselves for Saturday.

I've got tonight off as I am hoping to save myself for Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday the AFL Grand Final (here in Melbourne) and Sunday the NRL Grand Final (at Sydney yet because Melbourne Storm is in the Grand Final people will be out and about watching it).

It's too my benefit to not work tonight/Friday night because I have a private party bookings then the club to work.

I did really well with the private parties that I didn't end up working Saturday grand final night at Centerfold .. as I was happy with what I made that night and turning up at midnight to work that night.. nope. It was just too late for me to start plus i thought the club would be more busy. I probably could've made a few hundred more adding to my grand total for grand final night (as such) except .. i just wasn't feeling it. I guess being in shock from JazzyO was still playing on me.

Not to mention that I knew that i would have no recourse and would HAVE to stay until they closed which would've been whenever in the AM .... 7am or later. and i wasn't up to working past 5am to be truthful as i have had a loooooooooooooong day today with the private parties (i started at 10am).

So nah.. I will just rather be refreshed for Sunday (Go Melbourne Storm! Please win!!!) due to the NRL Grand Final. Plus way less girls would be working ;)

It was a real pleasure to meet you jai! Plus all the other girls were just awesome. They really are a great, welcoming bunch of girls. I do want to come back.

:( Sunday was a wash out and not so great night. Everyone left with something by the end of the night (3am finish) except even with the Melbourne Storm winning it didn't really impact the whole night. Not alot of people thru the doors all night.

I'm guessing the rain earlier as well as the cold weather didn't help matters.

Shame it wasn't a better night for me. Granted, thanks to how slow it really was, once again I was able to add my name to the TOP SCORES scoreboard of more than a few games. Plus I created an account  for next time.

I never used my own money to get credits and would "convince" the relevant person who could put the 40 or whatever credits on the machine so i could play without wasting money.

I'm quite surprised at how well I did at the Texas Hold'em game! I may just want to play Wednesday night instead of dancing  next time!!

ETA: I've also noticed that the general age of patrons is 20-30s. It's a young crowd overall at this club which is a good and bad thing at the same time. Not to say there aren't older people at the club, just that they aren't the majority here.

Hi Jaizaine and all the girls who currently work here :)

I'm emailing the club now about possibly auditioning in about two weeks or so to the email address on the website: [email protected]

Just wondering if Liz is still the dance manager there?

Argh, hopefully I get an audition and can become a dancer and meet all of you lovelies!

There's an article in The Age's Melbourne Magazine today that gives a review on the nightlife of the main pubs/clubs on King Street, and Centrefold is featured.

This is what it had to say, along with my added commentary!

A blonde woman, completely naked, is sitting on a man seated at a small podium stage near the entrance. She is half on the stage, half on him, at times allowing him to nuzzle his head on to her chest (wtf? that's not allowed!). It is very dark but coloured lights in red (die you cellulite-enhancing lights, DIE!), purple and green illuminate dancers in a room decorated with ornate lonic plastic columns and a chandelier. There is a sunken bar in the middle and beyond that is a main stage, which is horseshoe-shaped and has three poles for dancing. Eight men and two female patrons are sitting around the main stage while three dancers in very brief bikinis perform to moderately loud house and R&B music (worst music -- ever). On the mezzanine level is another bar and at the King Street end is a semi-screened room where two men can be seen having separate lap dances. On the main stage, a main gives one of the dancers some money. She takes off her top and rests her breasts on his face (what is this, Goldfingers? OMFG.. No touching!). Then she spends a while on all fours showing another man her behind. A dancer dressed in clear plastic heels and black lingerie climbs to the top of one of the pole, grips it with her legs, arches her back and hangs upside down for a moment, before sliding down headfirst and dramatically coming to a stop only centimetres from the stage. (jaizaine, is that you?!)

Thought it was a pretty interesting read. The other club reviews were pretty true to form from what I've seen myself, but it still doesn't do the King Street scene any favours.

Liz is no longer the dance manager there. Your best bet would be to talk to Bec yourself. She's super nice! Good luck.

what a laugh babe. It sounds like it was written by a shocked female patron. You know the ones, that just look horrified when they are stage side while we give private dances? Very tacky article. it's like when customers ask what happens during a private dance I say "I dont discuss that there is only one way to find out" hehe.

Im not sure if it was me i dont often wear black lingerie, except on wed nights. I def have clear heels tho hehe.

Aussiebelle if you want Beck's mobile number just send me a PM.

The game machines are still there tho' I have no idea why as even on the slow nights hardly any patrons as well as dancers use them. They are just "there".

I do have one complaint which is making me seriously consider other clubs next time I come down to Melbourne. This time around I'm down in Melbourne for business not pleasure thus I have noticed one thing about Centrefold:

The sheer number of $20 dances I have to do at this club! >:(

Alot of the girls are absolutely stunned and surprised that I refuse to sell $20 dances and keep on promoting $50 lap dances. It's hard to make good money at this club when the majority of the other girls are selling $20 dances up-front ...

For goodness sake, don't even MENTION the $20 dances! Sell the $50 dances, even if you have to sell $60 2 guys one girl (thus $30 each guy)... sell $50 minimum!!!

ONLY offer the $20 dance as an extension on the $50 dance. Sheesh!

(Even back home no one promotes the $30 min dance unless it is absolutely necessary!)

It's the number one thing making me wanting to get myself back into good shape (better shape than I am currently) so as I have a damn good chance to make it thru a Rhino audition next time I'm in Melbourne.

If all the girls and I mean ALL of them took my "work smarter not harder" approach to selling lap dances IMO the club would thus attract better patrons. As it is, it isn't attracting the 'right' patrons. Otherwise, it is a great club.

(Plus the girls are UNDER selling themselves - we all worth $50 min. Leave the $20 dances for the podium/stage.)

I love working there as the other girls are so fabulous to work with... just a shame that none of the other girls really know how to sell. This is why the other clubs are known for better money as only newbies at the other clubs sell the "per song" price unlike Centrefold.

I remember my first time at Goldies, I was pulled aside by a dancer and informed (in a friendly way) that I should be selling $50 dances like everyone else. Best tip I got from a dancer ever ;) She was right.

Unfortunately next time I'm in Melbourne for business I will be trying Goldies or Rhino. Centrefold is a great club to work in if you aren't too concerned about making money and just want to work in a good relaxed friendly club.

Mind you, I am speaking from a perspective of someone who comes to Melbourne every so often. Naturally, girls who actually STAY at this club will (like any other club) make better money as they can then work on attaining regulars. Yet for girls like myself who travel to Melbourne every so often to work ... I wouldn't recommend it unless (like I said) you just want an easy going environment to work within (and aren't concerned about the money).

^^
Im with you here. I don't even mention the $20 dances and will only do them on the stage. It's not worth the time it takes to lead them to the area, get the money and do the dance to justify it when you could be finding a better customer instead.

When a customer asks me the price of the dances I say "$50 for 10 minutes" and I dont find too many customers who complain about that.Occasionally some of them will say oh can't you do a $20 dance but I usually talk them out of it saying that the $20 dance is over too quickly and not really worth it - which I truly believe.

GoldCoastGirl
12-01-2007, 02:48 AM
Unfortunately jai you are totally in the minority there. The majority of the girls are easily and readily offering the $20 option without even trying to get people to purchase the $50 option. Seriously.

(This is thru observation, being close by and hearing them, and speaking with the greater majority)

Goodness, a prime example is one girl who did a $20 dance for five men. You heard me. She reckons she didn't flash any pussy or do any longer than half a song yet she still got nude for $20! (I personally would have "accidentially" forgotten to take off my g-string for the $20 lap dance).

Is there anyway the club can allow the dancers to sell $20 one song TOPLESS ONLY lap dances thus encouraging people to purchase the $50 dance if they want nude (or at least spend their $20 on the tables)?

I do the exact same jai. I say if they want $20 dance then to go to the stages. It's just that alot of the patrons/customers know that plenty of the girls will do $20 lap dances unfortunately.

:( thus encouraging a 'cheap' crowd into the club.

At the same time, there have been more than a few times I've done a $20 lap dance, nude, and gotten plenty of extentions on that initial lap dance however the majority of the time I noticed girls were in/out alot due to doing the shorter dances. It's my number one gripe with this club.

The game machines are null and void as no one pays attention to them

LOL that is an impossible question to answer. It depends on your looks, personality, hustling ability.
You could end up walking out with nothing, or less than nothing (minus housefee) or u could earn a lot. It is comparable to all the other strip clubs in King Street now.

Thanks!

I'm going to call them tonight and tell them I do greek and f/v and toy and if I can see how many shows I'd prob. get and how much $$$ they are....

then I'd move here.

Rent is surprisingly average. A nice place I want is only $400 SUPER INNER city. Couple that with higher income and mental health and I'm IN.

Just started here on Saturday. It's a great club so far! The girls are nothing short of AMAZING and i swear, they have the patience of a saint with me. I've asked so many silly, potentially embarrassing questions and they have made me feel so at ease, given great advice and forgiven my newbness. So just wondering, since i'm a newb and all, how much should i aim to be making when first starting out - as far as CL goes?

This not being what you would call a 'normal' job it's hard to gauge, but essentially it's a sales job and it's nice to be able to have targets to meet.

Without getting too detailed, i made an acceptable amount of money on Monday night. Nothing to write home about or anything but more than i'd make per hour working retail for what was a dead easy night with no dramas.

But now that i'm getting a feel for the minimum amount of time i have to spend with a customer to hook them in (about 2-3 songs on a quiet night, less if i'm on fire. hehe) i'd like to start hustling a bit better and smarter to earn as much as i potentially can.

LA said that earning 5 times your house fee was a good jumping off point but i want to be able to get more than that to make this all worthwhile.

xParisx
08-18-2009, 11:44 PM
yeah....at the moment its been up and down, its hard to tell what u should be making. also putting in the factors that guys have diff tastes in girls, and depends how hard you work etc (i can be lazy sometimes - mainly cos im shy)

use the 'im new' line on guys because it does work!! most girls make more when theyre new, but the end of yr is slow money wise and itll pick up around feb again.
i dont work week days as i dont like it when its quiet (tho most guys who come in do come to spend money) im just not that confident.

on any night, i just aim to make a profit and anything more helps, sometimes i try not to count my money thru the night, and putting a lower figure in my head than i know ive made so it pushes me to make more.

Kyaaa
08-18-2009, 11:56 PM
there were two guys there on monday who were fabulous. they obviously had a lot of money but werent flashy, were polite and nice and knew what they wanted. i wasnt skilled enough to sell more than 2 x 10 min to one guy cause something embarrassing happened and i had to dash off and then by the time i was ready i had to be on the table and blah blah blah and so on but i noticed that throughout the night he was spreading his cash around so even though it was quiet we all got a slice of the pie. Without him my night would have been a bit sucky. He got the ball rolling for us.

There were also some Americans who, though i wasnt their type (fair enough) they were good enough to tip me anyway. Yay tipping! :D

Oh yes, the 'i'm new, it's my [x] night' definitely works but ergh, so boring. And i've noticed the guys who fall for that only want one or two dances to be 'amused' by the clunky unsure chick who has trouble getting her g off sexily - i've been playing this 'newborn foal' angle cause i'm not really sure how to go after the guys with serious money to spend.

xParisx
08-19-2009, 12:01 AM
yeah its hard getting serious money, i actually prefer to only dance once every few hrs for guys, not a few in a row, because its so easy to run out of things to do!! and i'm not very good at coming up with conversation with guys i dont even know haha

tips are good, theyre rare but good...i always joke round to guys when they give a compliment thru the dance 'oh you know you can tip me if you want hehe..' and half the time theyll give me a small note or something, it still adds up :)

ps. if im not wearing a clip on g, i still have trouble getting them off ;) as well as dresses getting caught on my heels haha

Kyaaa
08-19-2009, 01:53 PM
Oh dang, tonight was so good to me for doing pretty much sweet FA. I swear, i'm the laziest private dance giver. I like to take them downstairs dance for about 5 mins then spend the rest of the 20-30 mins sitting on the armrest with my hand lightly touching their chest/arms while they gaze adoringly into my eyes.

The corporate suits were good for it tonight. And best of all they were fun!

xParisx
08-19-2009, 11:52 PM
haha yeah im not good at getting them to extend the dance...i usually rip guys off big time after bout 4am...haha oops :p they don't complain!
