Personally, I would put Kitty in the "decent" category.
:)
See, and I would probably put her in the "hot" category based on that picture. So there you go. The panties she's wearing are probably not the most flattering style she could have chosen, and she doesn't have washboard abs, but I can guarantee you that she will have a good solid customer base. Even if it consists of less discriminating folk than we find here on the board. ::)
Besides, a couple weeks as a dancer in a busy club and she'll have lost ten pounds and toned up some anyway. Trust me.

Technically you said that she would have no problem getting hired because manager need club fees. There are some pretty sturdy implication in that answer.oh, i don't have to imply anything. the fact of the matter is that a woman with an above, average or below average body can get a job as a stripper. she only needs (1) a pulse (2) a willingness to strip (3) the ability to pay the stage fee. like you've said many times, it's a low skill job.
Strictly - you gave her more information than needed in a way that was intended to be mean.was i being mean? or perhaps you're being too pollyannaish?
Well, really so do you. Your answer COULD have simply been "No, you are not too big to dance", but that wasn't good enough for you, was it?it's no different than in the sc. customers judge strippers. now, some customers judge strippers on other qualities than the physical. however, some customers appraise strippers on their physical appearance. yes, i will appraise a stripper's body as if she's a side of beef hanging on a hook.
Why do we always assume that the bad stuff is "reality"? Maybe this is the bullshit and all the predictable validation is the reality check.bad stuff and bullshit in what way? no..let me guess. those customers who hold the heftier strippers to a certain standard of beauty smacks of patriarchal oppression. is that about right?
Okay, can I please just say here that 5'5 and 125 lbs. is
NOT FAT!!!!!!!Differences in build, bone structure and musculature make a HUGE difference.yes. however, no one has criticized either, nic. it's her body's measurements which is giving some guys pause.
She did post a pic she started a new threadyes, and she looks about what i expected from her measurements.
Besides, a couple weeks as a dancer in a busy club and she'll have lost ten pounds and toned up some anyway. Trust me.if dancing was that great of a workout. there would be no such thing as an out of shape stripper.

Well, as a man, I don't want to tell anyone what a "real" feminist is, but I always thought that a plain ol' feminist was someone who believed in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes. By that standard, I'm a feminist.
Then why are they called feminists rather than equalists? Equality has very little to do with feminism.

Hmmm. Maybe... Let me consider that... no. You're mean.
it's no different than in the sc. customers judge strippers. now, some customers judge strippers on other qualities than the physical. however, some customers appraise strippers on their physical appearance. yes, i will appraise a stripper's body as if she's a side of beef hanging on a hook.
It's facinating that you bring this up. This IS different than being in a strip club. I'm not in a strip club. Nor are you. If we should ever have the dubious good fortune to meet in a strip club I could (possibly) simper, giggle, pander, bend over and perform all sorts of activity that I don't engage in here because I am neither a) getting paid nor b) considering the possibility of getting paid. The only thing that gives customers the right/position to judge me (as a stripper - or a side of beef hanging on a hook) is the exchange or potential exchange of money. Without that, you are all just guys from whom that girl (or me, or Nic, or Cally) would refuse a drink in a regular bar. So unless my check is in the mail STOP OBJECTIFYING ME.
bad stuff and bullshit in what way? no..let me guess. those customers who hold the heftier strippers to a certain standard of beauty smacks of patriarchal oppression. is that about right?
Well, yes. But that was not my point. You characterize the way you guys behave towards women down here as "reality." I'm not sure how true that is. (Remember the word "fantasy"?). This isn't reality - reality is not you guys, however lovely and charming some of you are, being able to judge 21 year old girls for THEIR sexual desirability. Reality is NOT those same girls looking for your approval (unless they are suffering some moderate to severe psychological damage). The customers who give us the endless, mindless validation of which you speak pay out bills, and you evidently, don't. Why is what you say "more real"? It is not because it is divorced from the artifice of the strip club (see above), because you claim the context of the strip club as your right to judge her. I just don't see this commentary as being particularly laden real-ness.
yes. however, no one has criticized either, nic. it's her body's measurements which is giving some guys pause.
I think you guys have poor spatial perception. When I was 5'5", 108 pounds and looked like I was trading my body for cocaine (I wasn't, by the way) my hips were were still 36 inches. And I was - in case I haven't been clear - unpleasantly skinny. Her measurements are perfectly normal (well, not the initial waist measurement, that was a little off).

Then why are they called feminists rather than equalists? Equality has very little to do with feminism.
Feminism started about creating equality of opportunities and treatment under the law. Then somewhere in the 1980's, after women started to make strides in getting equal treatment in some cases, "strawfeminism" arose.
"Strawfeminism" seeks to empower women to have all the rights of men at work, in politics, in society, but retain the special treatment traditionally afforded women because of their role as wives, mothers, and home-makers.
A typical "strawfeminist" is a woman who works for a while, demanding equal treatment in the workforce, and equal consideration for her value, then later converts to a housewife who considers herself on equal footing of all other women and men who are in the labor market.
They demand not only a woman's right to control her body, but a woman's right to use her body to control her man.
A "real" feminist understands the history of societal norms, and rationally seeks to politely expand upon those norms to allow for more creativity. A "real" feminist understands that in today's world, it makes sense for the husband of a strong businesswoman to play a different role at home. A "real" feminist doesn't have the patience to play games about sex and desire.

Hmmm. Maybe... Let me consider that... no. You're mean.it really hurts me when you take that accusatory tone with me. it makes me not want to trust and be open with you. now, if i really wanted to be mean. i could have very easily dissected the flaws of her body like a frog in a biology class. if i really wanted to be truly evil. i could have edited her pic and reposted with it with circles indicating where she should consider liposuction.
It's facinating that you bring this up. This IS different than being in a strip club. I'm not in a strip club. Nor are you.no, but she did ask the question. she did post a pic.
So unless my check is in the mail STOP OBJECTIFYING ME.well, the only way i'll stop objectifying strippers on MB is when strippers stop making such posts.
Well, yes.well, get over it. it's a sc. sexually objectifying women without fear of a feminist driven, sexual harrassment lawsuit is part of it's charm.
Reality is NOT those same girls looking for your approval (unless they are suffering some moderate to severe psychological damage).my approval? LOL..actually, i would like nothing more than for strippers to stop making such posts. it's almost the equivalent of asking "why?"
The customers who give us the endless, mindless validation of which you speak pay out bills, and you evidently, don't.which is why i wish such posts would stop. eventually, some stripper is going to make some post (like this one) asking for an honest opinion. well, good or bad, i'm going to give it to her. it may not be pretty, but ask and ye shall recieve.
I think you guys have poor spatial perception. When I was 5'5", 108 pounds and looked like I was trading my body for cocaine (I wasn't, by the way) my hips were were still 36 inches. I show even less discernment when selecting someone to wiggle around on my lap for a while. I mean, if actual weapons come out, the moderators will step in to cool things off, but the underlying issue has been debated long before you asked, and will be debated long after this thread dies.
Part of the disagreement centers around how the respondant intreprets the basic question, whether it's interpreted as "Can I earn a living stripping?" or "Would you buy a dance from me?" Those are two very different things. The simple answer to your question is, yes, you can get on and make a living in a strip club, but no, you won't be to everyone's liking. That's true of most of us. Some of us are genetically blessed to fit a certain standard of beauty more than others, and some of us work harder to stay in shape than others do, but you're within the realm of being able to make a living if you work seriously at it. Nevertheless, all this debate is basically just entertainment, aka intellectual masturbation. Don't give it a second thought, and for heaven's sake, don't let it discourage you from contributing and having fun here. And please do let us know what happens.

The day of my Audition is getting closer Honestly do you think i am to big to dance I am 39-34-38 tell me before i make a fool of myself!!!!!!
What is your pant size? I weigh 140 lbs and wear a size 3/4 muscle
weighs more than fat, I'm also five foot eight inches tall. You
can't tell anything from weight after awhile it's all measurements
also another poster put it right, if you are even questioning
if you're too thick to dance you might as well give up
I have seen thicker girls bank, it's all about confidence,
self esteem if you don't find yourself hot it will show
through hard core. Love your body, feel hot
wear clothing that looks good on you and
get the job, the more you stress the worse
it will be and if you don't get a job at this
club there are always other clubs.
If you start in a smaller club just from
dancing it will tone you up and then
go audition it doesn't take much time
to get yourself back in shape :)
good luck girl flaunt what you
got and be proud of it.

I think many* dancers think we wake up in the morning with $500 that will disappear by the end of the day if we don't spend it on them, so why shouldn't we give it to them? They seem to have no sense of the work most of us put in for our money. If I'm spending $20/3.5 minutes of hard earned cash, you can bet I'm going to be damned choosy, even if it's just the principle. That said, I'd say for the inquiring would-be dancer, for many customers, it depends on how cute, charismatic, talented and firm she is, more than just the measurements (to a reasonable limit), and what a customer considers to be attractive with all of these will vary.

I think you'll be just fine. Girls carry their weight differently, so I'm not sure exactly how you look, but even if you were heavy (which it doesn't sound like you are) you can still make money. I've worked some thick girls and some on the chubby side, that made more than some of the toned girls. As long as you put off an attitude of being confident with yourself and your body, you'll be fine. And just remember, not all guys like the same thing. If they did, most of us wouldn't be in this line of week.

OMG you guys are fucktards.
Would you turn down a girl who is 5'4" with 36" hips? Yes? You just turned down Carmen Electra.
How about a gal who is 5'6" with 36" hips? You just turned down one hot ass escort (http://www.raquel.to/about.htm).
FYI, most actresses you see in movies and TV are 5'5" and under, and if they are 5'5" typically don't weigh more than 100lbs. "Healthy" for that height would be 115+. And 15lbs makes a difference on a woman - up to 2 jean sizes (e.g. a woman could jump from a size 2 to a 6 in 15lbs). When you see a thin girl on TV with nice boobs and butt and a thin waist - typically they are short. Your expectations are pretty skewed, my friends... not just because these are TV girls, but almost everyone I've spoken to who has met some of these famous women say they were a little weirded out at how SMALL they were in person (many of them were 5'0"-5'2". I personally stood next to Carmen Electra and felt like a giant. She says she's 5'4", but I'm pretty sure she's not even that "tall".
The point? Guys have no idea about measurements and size. You just can't guess off measurements alone.
You want a fantasy girl? Use your fantasy hand.
In the meantime, have semi-realistic expectations, even of the "unattainable" women you seek.

I'm 5'9, measurements 36-28-41. My ass is high, round and firm, my legs muscled and shapely, my hips womanly and my torso/shoulders/arms toned and strong. I don't even know how much I weigh but I know people guess way lower than it probably is.
When my measurements were 35-26-36 guys barely looked at me. I was sickly, skinny and bony. How the heck is that sexy??? I think now, although sometimes I wish I was a little smaller, my shape is better and I feel more comfortable in my own skin.
