I hope it's something good and not scary!! Soooo glad I didn't give him my real number...

It finally worked for me too. There's a million states to choose from now-I got a south NJ one. I probably should have tried for an Alaska one or something. I'm going to call myself now. 609 257 4131 :phone:

um, so it was roses and a freaking necklace!!! presents are fun! but this guy doesn't spend money, he doesn't drink.. so I had to go, you know, there were other people offering me money, and I had to work. So at the end of my shift, the door girl handed me this napkin that said something to the effect of "I guess we're not as good of friends as I thought. I won't bring you any more presents. You must have better things to do than sit with an old man. I thought we were best friends since I didn't give you money last week. But it looks like you are more interested in making money from the other men."

oops!

I felt like a bitch, but at the same time, when he gave me the stuff, he kind of freaked me out. He was like, "Oh, our birthdays are only 6 days apart!" And I was like, "Really, when is yours?", he said the 1st of june. mine's the 21st, but I KNOW I never told him my bday. He was wrong, but he was close, so it freaked me out.. then he was like, "Now don't you go doing something special for me!!" .. um, yeah I doubt it. lol

It's sad cuz he's old and lonely, but he was right. I had to work, I can't feel bad about that? Or am I just a bitch?

you shouldn't feel like a bitch, especially for taking care of you and yours. you can feel sorry, but you're not a bitch. don't collect others' stones. carry your own, youknow?8)

Not a bitch at all. Roses and necklaces are nice, very nice but you can't pay bills with roses. If he can't understand that when he is seeing you and you are at work you are there to make money. He should be happy that you're sitting adn talking with him if he's not paying you for your time. It's nice for him to think that he and you have a connection or something, but it is not up to you to help out grandpa. Feel for him for being old and lonely, but dont feel like a bitch.

It's not a psych ward for peace sakes! nor a retirement home... I feel bad for old men that are lonely, but they have to understand that we are trying to pay our bills.

I signed up for it and then hastily am rethinking the terms and conditions. But hey it's an idea, I like the pre-paid phone idea better though.

Honestly I can't even remember the terms and conditions. But I do know that I've not been billed for anything from this company and I've had this number for like 7-8 months.

Yeah.. am I just that naiive that I didn't realize there were any terms/conditions??? Seriously, I signed up for this a few months ago..maybe four months ago. No bills, I didn't even use any correct/current information to sign up, I was really under the impression that this was a free service, kind of like yahoo e-mail or something, ya know? *gulp* Hopefully I'm right../:O

I'm pretty sure it's free since when I signed up a couple months a go they didn't ask for any billing address or real name. I used my stage name and email and gave them no personal info.

I wish I knew about this before. I never liked the idea of giving a guy an 800 number because it's so fake and would ruin any fantasy of his! haha :D I love this being my real area code and they can blow that up and not my real phone. Plus this actually rings, doesn't go straight to voicemail. If you want to call them back on that number you do have to sign up and get billed. You can make the calls from your computer.

I have a great customer and gave him my real number...met him before I started this. He's always blowing up my phone and it's so annoying. He just wants to talk and ask me out. So I texted him asking him to ONLY call at my new number. He used it twice and then went back to calling my personal phone. I don't know if I should bother doing anything about it at this point. He's a good customer.

Did you know that you get 10min free to talk to them once they leave a voicemail by pressing 2. I like that cause it literally forces me to get str8 to the "punch" and tell them to come see me lol..instead of having some long drawn out conversation.

As far as your persistant customer: You should tell him that you are giving your phone away to your cousin or something so his/her parents can keep better track of them. You should also use someone elses voice as the new voicemail so he will know it doesn't "belong" to you anymore.

CK, is that when you listen to a voicemail? I get emails and listen online, or I call the number remotely from my cell.. I'd love to be able to call from that number without being billed for it (geez I'm cheap!).. ::)

If you log into your netzero account, you can set it up so that you get a text on your "real phone" to let you know that someone has left a voicemail on the private #.

I love this feature, bc I can play it off, like, "oh I didn't hear the phone ring" blah blah..

You know you can also set the # of rings it does b4 going straight to voicemail too. Trust me, you will not be billed. I've been using this since the end of last summer, and I haven't gotten a single bill.

I think you could call your phone company and ask them to block his number then tell him that you've changed over completely to the new phone and that you were waiting for the plan to expire so you didnt have to pay the termination fee. just a thought.

yeah.. exactly.. its also not match.com .. it seems like a lot of guys somehow thought they were at a speed dating event instead of a strip club. nothing is free and you wont date the employees.. go home to your wives.;D

This is the coolest service ever! So glad I found this thread. Also you can't be charged, they don't take any personal information and if you want you can use your stage name alias info. Thats what i did just to be sure of no charges. This company is similar to vonage but were only signing up for the free voicemail. If you were to use their other services then yeah you'll be charged. But you'd have to also be signed up for the "internet phone"(where this service actually become your main way of communication) stuff too.I spent forever reading the terms of service lol. So dont let the "charges" in the terms scare you off. Again thanks so much for thread!:D
