I've done it all. I turned 21 while I was still pretty new and I drank all the time just because I could. I made an ass out of myself, but I made good enough money to outweigh the embarrassment. Now I don't think about alcohol unless it's offered, in which case I'll l accept up to 3 or 4 drinks depending on my mood. I've never noticed a difference in my earnings, although I make money off of different crowds if I'm buzzed. I don't care about how drunk other girls are at all. I've had to hold a girl's hair back a few times and I still love her to death. Do what works for you, which is probably somewhere between completely sober and puking.

Yes, I drink at work. Everyday, no denying it. It is rare I get drunk though, just enough to get me buzzing. It kinda sucks too because it takes a lot to get me drunk after 5 years of dancing and the bars out here barely put even half a shot in the drinks (Guam). It isn't that I'm scared to get on stage or scared to talk to people really. I am just a lot more interesting when I'm drunk. When I'm sober I'm a shy introvert and not very interesting, therefor I have trouble walking up to customers and talking to them. Yes when I'm sober I still go up to them but it is the usual your name, where from, blah blah and I hope they come up with something interesting to keep me talking. When I'm buzzed I'm a lot more talkative, can come up with jokes better, can sell drinks/dances better, dance better, just overall get in that I don't give a fuck mode over when I'm sober being scared to ask for the champagne room and make no money. I also have anxiety/panic disorder which makes me shaky and nervous all the time, customers see that when I'm sober and won't spend money on me.

Im the same way. It takes a lot for me to get fucked up and I was just starting out as a new drinker. I drank 151 and Whiskys. I stopped dancing cuz of the drinking got to me to the point of me worrying about my skin and body. SO im looking for a legal way of getting fucked up without ruining my body

I drink because it makes customers more interesting. I drink about 5 drinks per night, I tend to keep my buzz going through the night. ( I don't drive) I 'm known as a hustler and top $$ money maker where I work, I'm not one that gets lazy or gets so shit faced where I'm stumbling around and can't find anything.

I drink more than I should, usually hitting the point of drunk and then sobering up several times throughout the night. I'm tiny, so it doesn't take much and I like to throw myself into intoxication - given my normal weirdness is much akin to a regular person's sober, alcohol is a grand excuse.

I don't like being overly drunk unless it's a slow night and I have a big spender taking care of me. Generally I can power through alcohol, to the point most coworkers/customers/bosses can't tell whether I'm drunk or not (many remark I seem drunk all the time, kind of a female Cap'n Jack type).

I think people have different understanding of drunk too.. For me as soon as Im tipsy I call it drunk. Im never really messy messy drunk. Only once in a blue moon. It only happened once at work and I was booked till 6am drinking with this dude. By the time I left I was fucked! But so was he and I made a shitload so who cares.

I was just curious about how many dancers and drinking. Most of the women I know drink mostly to calm their nerves, especially when they have to go on stage.

Anyway, I was just wondering how much do you ladies drink while working? Have there ever been times where you or another dancer had too much? I've seen some dancers in the past that drank waaaaaay too much, and I've always wondered why they would get so drunk, especially when there are guys out there that might try to take advantage of them >:(

Some girls can't handle it. There's a difference between needing to be drunk to do the job and liking to be drunk. I'm the latter. I can do the job stone cold sober the exact same way depends on what I want and how I feel on any given day. If you need to be drunk, you're in the wrong job.

I don't think it would be possible to not drink at work... I've toned it down a lot though because I've found that once I get too intoxicated I stop making money because I either want to sit in the dressing room and chat, or I end up being rude to customers and telling them what I really think. It's best to just take a few shots before you go and stage ;)

For you, but not for me. I hate it. I also only work once a week though; if I worked more frequently I would do it sober sometimes.

^ I agree with you on this one. I used to sometimes work stone cold sober when I did 4 shifts a week, now that its 1-2 I need at least 2 drinks before I even start otherwise everytime a saturday night bucks party retard opens his mouth I run the risk of spitting in his face or vomiting in my mouth. I like dancing but not especially sat night unfortunately that is the night I work. If I could work tues - thurs then I could easily say no because the customers are much more pleasant.

I do. I have more fun, and make more when I've had a few drinks. Sucks, but thats how it is for me.

I got outta control with it a few times and had to take a step back and reevaluate it. But since drinking and dancing, I've pulled muscles and shit. It's no bueno. Not to mention it's probably not smart to be vulnerable in a place like that. So as long as i have a good buzz, I'm good.

I bother working because it pays the bills.. I don’t bother working more than once a week (sometimes twice) because I make enough in one night to support myself, and since I'm in school and have a lot of other things going on I really don't have the time.

Custy : You want something to drink my dear?
Me: A soda would be nice.
Custy: Nothing alittle stronger?
Me: No thank you, I don't like the way I am when I'm drunk.
Custy: Mean?
Me: Celibate.

I used to drink too much when I first started dancing, but was also dealing with past abuse issues. Now I don't and I feel better about myself for it. Was too much nerves and self hate at that earlier time

I understand. I LOATHED dancing. I used to tell people I'd rather pick oranges (and I was being truthful). Try as I might, it took me a LONG time to find a "regular job", and I couldn't just quit because then I'd go broke.

I danced for a year sober (my last year), BUT- that was the year I finally started taking medicine for my (pretty intense) ADD, and that helped SUBSTANTIALLY.

I didn't mean why do you bother working. I'm well aware of why people work thanks. ::)

How drunk? Falling down drunk or pleasantly buzzed? There's a big difference.

I feel like I have no self discipline. Maybe it happens to deal with the fact that outside of work I am a complete bookworm, 3-meal-a-day housewife and a mom. So when I go into work (3 days a week) I kindof consider it 'me' time.

I must confess that I have *always* made the most money when I am completely trashed. I don't know why but it seems like when I'm really drunk I just have the perfect answer for everything. I end up convincing people to do CR's, then do buy outs, and then come back to the club and spend money on other girls--its amazing! lol.

This is a horrible double edged sword though because I don't think people realize that this is only something I can do when I'm wasted, and so I get the whole 'why you no make money anymore?!' treatment when I'm sober.

If you know that harvest, posession, sale, & use of River Herring is illegal in Massachusetts,,, where you are,,, why would you ask for advice on how to catch them? http://www.stripers247.com/phpBB2/images/smilies/dontknow.gif

Instead, take a look at good artificial imitations, which are legal, and work well when used at the right time in the right places.
