On the net that usually bold capital lettering means yelling.

i wasn't screaming i was making a BOLD STATEMENT.

Uh, a bold statement would be the words you type put into boldface. You enlarged them quite a bit as well. That would constitute shouting to me.

Yea, bold caps=screaming. But it made me lol, as well as the thought of size 0 stripper heels. That was a funny interlude :D

I maintain though that on any board you can get real or perceived hostility. If it's a flame, report it, and if you just don't like the person, put them on ignore. Simple as that.

In general I think the people on here are sweetie pies :P

umm, spending too much time on here??!?!?! WHAT?!?! from what i've seen she's been a member for over a year and only has 500+ posts which is pretty low. well, compared to your 8,000+. i think that's the ignorancy she's talking about:O . REMEMBER, THERE WILL BE NEW COMERS EVERYDAY THAT HAVEN'T SEEN POSTS, THAT THEY MAY WANT TO COMMENT ON EVEN IT IS FROM 1 YEAR OR 2 AGO! ALSO IF THEY HAVE A "BOYFRIEND" PROBLEM AND WANT ADVICE, LET THEM ASK!YOU WANT TO ROLL YOUR EYES THEN EXIT THE THREAD AND MOVE TO ANOTHER!:P
Was that really necessary to take up my whole screen with size 6 font? >:( We could have heard you just fine with standard size font, maybe some bold for oomph, and no all caps.

 and people wonder why I spend so much damn time on here instead of watching a soap or something on the television..................... ah how I love you stripperweb ;D This whole thread has been amusing. I agree with alot of the points.

I personally have seen the hosility however since this is the internet I can easily choose to ignore it. Brigette is correct about that if ANYTHING from SW makes you upset... either ignore that thread, ignore that person/poster and/or take some time out (get off the internet and into the "offline" world).

This place is like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood with the sporadic snarky drive-by. ;)

I'm sorry, was that negative? Is this the negativity of which we are speaking? Oops.Well, I wasn't going to say anything, but yes, the criticism is specifically about you and the trouble you stir up. And the rest of you Canucks. In fact, I think this is a Yankee vs. Canuck problem. Haven't you anything better to do?

;D :P <-- Indicators of dry humor above.

Little passive aggressive, no?

'Some people are holier than thou' + 'I'm not that kind of person'...hmm?

No, it's actually not passive-aggressive.

What I'm saying regarding not being that kind of person is that when I see some of the rudeness, or know-it-all stuff as it's happening, I would like to tell some of the bigger offenders to shove it, but I'm not rude like that and don't want to be the kind of person to make things escalate. So in those cases, I may offer my own advice to the orginal poster, or maybe not post anything at all if I don't have anything constructive to add. (as opposed to hijacking a thread and going off on the handful of rude people).

As far as the 'holier than thou' part, there is a handful of bigtime contributors here who believe they know everything about everything and THEY are the only ones who are right in their views and everyone who doesn't follow their beliefs is beneath them.

I must also make it clear, that I am not the one who feels attacked by these people ....it's just that I've been seeing it happen quite a bit more often than, say, a year ago. Maybe by me bringing it up, some of the main offenders may think twice before they lash out at people. ;)

Although just joining, it seems as if the original writer of this post started a very negative other post directed at a member, looking up her myspace, and posting her e-mail. WHY would one do this?

I hate to be one of those members who are snarky to new posters. But, I don't see the point of bringing up old threads like this.
Start your own thread if you have a problem that's big enough to pull up old threads about.

Also, I want to point out that I don't agree or disagree with your comment, since I have no idea what you're talking about.

Oops Sorry :) I didn't see the date on this. I was looking at a post that listed some girls personal info. and happened to find this one from the same poster. I just thought it was odd. Please disregard.
