I love it,
Found out last week that our neighbor down the street with a big gun collection he bragged about had an old felony conviction on his record.
Wingnut will be spending the holidays in some familiar surroundings this year...

What is your objection to civilians owning Military Grade Weaponry?
I think there are too many unstable people out there. The idea of some of them having the firepower of a UZI doesn't sit well with me.
Play Paintball sometime. Really. :)
I love November 1st....... Free Pumpkins! Fun to shoot pumpkins............:)
I have and I agree it is fun ! I always freak guys out when I play with them too b/c they aren't used to a chic ( especially a real girly one like me) being a good shot ;D

Old or New a felony conviction just doesn't come up. You made that up.
Fan,
There has always been and always will be unstable persons. Why limit the ability for the law abiding good people to protect themselves? Possesion of a firearm doesn't make a person a criminal (well except those unConstitutinal gun laws again), the intent and commission of a crime does. If so we would have to outlaw most kitchen knives, these actually are the weapon used in most violent assaults. Most violent assaults are spontaneous and unplanned and the kitchen knife is the most readily available item.
I am not surprised you are a good shot. Women are easier to teach to shoot. Since women don't bring a lot of preconcieved notions and have many bad habits to unlearn. Women usually are the best students.
We will never be free of bad people. The yin/yang, light/dark, good/evil so we must be vigilant and ready to protect ourselves and the ones we love.

SGT,
Well see the thing is that I don't see it as not allowing good people to protect themselves. I think people are more than able to protect themselves with non military grade weapons. I agree with you that we will never be free on bad people but I don't think that we should make it easier for them either.
I also don't think that( in this country anyway) that we need to fear our government in terms of firearms/weapons being used on us. I thinkwhat we should really be fearful of and fighting back against is their regular use propoganda on it's people. I feel that is much bigger danger to us at this point in time.

In Maricopa County (greater Phoenix) - all the criminal cases are available online. You can look up anyone to see if they have a criminal record. And turn them in if you know they possess guns.

I enjoyed using his arrogance against him. Knowing his arrogance, there was a likelyhood he had been in trouble before.
And I didn't even have to be a lame ass and get into that penis length type discussion that is "how big and bad is your gun".
I prefer the steel of the mind over lead anyday.

So I am scanning the news headlines today and noticed this story:
report finds that the combination of guns and youth is the major contributor to the surge in violent crime. Many police chiefs expressed alarm about the easy availability of guns and are worried about legislation pending in Congress that would restrict the federal ATF from sharing gun-tracing information with local police, making it harder to track down the guns used in crimes.

you cannot get all feloneys expunged from your record. its ment so that something you done when you were young & stupid will not punish you for the rest of your life. i guess the type you two hang with remained stupid.

Yes, I know not all felony charges can be expunged. What were the felony charges that your fiends committed anyway?
Oh and by the way it is not "feloneys" it is felonies. Also it is not "ment" it is meant. So much for you being the more intelligent one, LMAO ;D

one was charged with DWI when he was 18, for sleeping in the back seat of a car with the key in the ignition.he is a sheriff now.
another was arrested for having a quarter pound of pot in his early 20's, he was smoking it not selling it. he is very successful now & helps more people out when they really need it than anyone ever did for him.
i type fast & don't proof read.with your great intelligence you should be able to figure it all out. you may want to go back & edit your own spelling mistakes. it's friends not "fiends"

DWI a felony?
I guess my friends are just "lucky" enough never to have been stupid enough to get caught for a felony ever. I don't hang out with the crowd who lives on the "fringe of society".
For both of your friends, they'd have to show some serious attitude towards the police and/or the judge to get a felony conviction on a first time offense.
So, it's very likely that they were "fringe" types to begin with and play just straight enough now not to get kicked off the force or re-arrested. IMO - you've shown exhibited some fairly "fringe" type attitudes - one of those people who want to be considered dangerous because of their anti-social attitudes.

I don't think a 1st time DWI (especially one where the car wasn't even moving) is a felony in any U.S. State.
If it is or ever was, what State or States is that standard?

Studies indicate that the predominantly male passion for firearms is directly related to the male’s perspective of his penis size. This is known as the Penis Size Syndrome. Many males feel inadequately endowed in this department and believe their masculinity suffers in some kind of proportional relationship based on how short they fall of some mythical standard. To make up for this percieved shortfall in penis size and masculinity, symbolic penises are used. These take the form of (to name just a few) hot cars, motorcycles, jet skis, stories of sexual conquests that never happened, ownership of large, dangerous dogs, wallets on chains, and, of course, guns. One can hardly imagine a more appropriate phallic symbol than a gun. So, every time you see some guy lovingly stroking a gun and praising its attributes, know that he is not seeing a machine, but a great fleshy sex organ and what you are witnessing is an act of masturbation.

Ah ha ha ha! At least it was entertaining!
There have always been phallic symbol weapons going back thousands of years. In ancient times it was the sword and spear. Today it is the high powered assualt rifle. A hundred years from now it will be the Illudium Pew-36 Explosive Space Modulator.
Guys are taught from childhood not to play with themselves...its nasty. Therefore they just find subsitutes :)

it was his first DWI offence, it was not the first time he was arrested or been in trouble with the law & he was not afraid to tell the police, the judge & anyone else what he thought of them.
i also know two people who served prison time for their first DWI's and neither were involved in accidents. ones lawyer sucked & the he must also have pissed off the da. the other had already been to prison once, for something that should have not even caused him to be arrested.
i was arrested many times when i was in my early 20's for not taking any shit off the police but i have never been charged with anything. i can pass a background check from any department of the us gov. when the company i work for needs someone to go anywhere that requires a background check i'm the one who has to do the job.

i'm sure there are plenty of studies for leftist commies like you az.
i'm glad you don't want hot cars, motorcyles, jet skis, don't get laid, don't have large dogs a chain wallet or a big gun. you'll do just fine with a volkswagen bug, when your on a bike you can ride bitch, get you a pink row boat instead of a jet ski for you and your boy friend,i bet you tell everyone at the gay bar about your sexual conquests, a toy poodle would also be a good breed of dog for someone a like you. a purse could easily be substituted for the chain wallet & since you must have a massive penis a lady smith & wesson with pink grips would probably be the right gun for you.

your friends are lucky not smart. it sounds like you do hang out with that type & eventually they will get caught doing something stupid & have a nice felony conviction to show for it. i seriously doubt your friends are as clean as you claim they are.
owning weapons & speaking out makes me a "fringe-type"
all you lefties think anyone who owns a gun is a fringe-type .
the difference between your type & my type is we respect your first amendment rights to express your opinoin through free speech, we do not agree with what you are saying & we think you are a complete idiot for saying it, but we will fight to the death using our second amendment rights(that you do not approve of) to defend your right to say it.
I actively promote beating the crap out of anyone who is not law enforcement caught carrying a weapon in public. Just last week, we found a pint sized loudmouth at the bar who was stupid enough to flash a gun handle in his belt-line. Too bad the poor guy had to go to the hospital that night. I wonder if he'll ever try going to the police to claim the gun we turned in the next morning.}:D Probably not.
its sounds like you have your own little group of nazis Gestapo's you hangout with.i'll share with you a story thats similar to yours. an armed pint sized loudmouth gets beatup at a bar in spring texas by some dimwits like you, a few days later he is on the news because he is wanted for the murder of a police officer. it was their lucky day, he had killed before & told one of them "don't make me shoot you" they thought he was full of shit.
i carry in public & i'm not a LEO. i am licensed by the texas department of public safety to carry a concealed hangun & if you know i'm armed there will be a reason. the pint sized loudmouth made the mistake of flashing his gun which is a felony if you have a ccw.
I have a feeling you're extremely paranoid if you think it necessary for common people to own military and sniper grade weapons.
i'm not paranoid it is my right to own military weapons, machine guns & silencers. if you hunt in open land or mountainous regions you should own sniper grade weapons. most target rifles exceed sniper grade weapons. sniper rifles & their optics have to be rugged & accurate because they are used in a combat enviornment so you have a slight tradeoff that target rifles do not have because off the way they are used.
all of my hunting rifles are easily capable of sniper grade accuracy & my target rifles exceed it.

I wouldn't worry to much DippityDave. Gun control these days is academic prattle for the chattering classes over their over-priced latte's.
Gun control laws have been falling left and right - and in fact there are someplaces contemplating making it a requirement to own a gun!
