yeah surely his number would've been on his agency website, or at least in the white/yellow pages? it would've taken 5 seconds to look up?

Oh dear. I will tell you as I have told everyone else. I was exhausted from being so panicked and in a state of high stress for so long. It wasn't just "a nap" ... OMG! You try to stay awake and not be exhausted when you have been highly strung out for over 5 hours straight.... argh.
Oh yeh. Also, do not tell me that you think straight and "right" when you are in a state of panic. It is a natural human thing to not do the right thing nor think logically when one is in a state of panic. Sheesh.
Fucking hell. I'm human. I don't always think "straight" when I'm in such a state. I don't know too many people who do....... and I was in such a flustered state for so long as that phone is my lifeblood.
Whatever. It is in the past now. I'm out $140. Expensive lesson for me to learn. Hopefully other people can learn from my experience and not make such a mistake.
Besides, that was the first piece of work from this particular agent I had received in a long while. He was never one of the ones I preferred and kept in contact with anyway so no loss for me. Plus he was reknown for his biker ties ....

Vee, fricken calm down... nobody is attacking you! Christ.
You were online. It says you were. A quick google and you could've had everything done... your agent could've had your new number to call you, you wouldn't have missed the booking...
You may be human but you still GOT ONLINE to rant about it and just went to sleep leaving an agent and a customer hanging without a girl... you seriously could've called.
YES you were stressed. YES you are human... but the LAST THING YOU DO in this job is NOT SHOW UP. And I read your Myspace and you're saying the agent should 'just forgive' you?
Man, I wish I lived in your world... because that's not how it works!
And seriously, when I get stressed - I work better! I could never sleep while stressed until everything was DONE! And -I- know stress. I wake up HAVING panic attacks because I forgot to pay a bill and don't sleep til it's done!
If I was stressed, FIRST thing I would've done is fixed it all by calling the agent and finding out where they are... You could've saved yourself THE ENTIRE FIVE HOURS of stress!! Forget about your phone, call the agent, find out the stuff, give new number....
My phone has been stolen THREE times (fucking expensive phones.. I need to buy cheap ones) and it's never been a problem in the end. I still get to work.
Also, write EVERYTHING in your diary, even if it's on your phone... another thing I learned.
The agent won't 'just' forgive you.
Doesn't work like that... sorry.
Darcy Foxx

your first priority should not be to come to stripperweb to rant about it, it should've been to spend 30 seconds finding the agents number and letting him know, regardless of how stressed you are.
we aren't attacking you, so there's no need to get defensive. just take it as constructive criticism, we are giving you advice. you complain that you don't get much work because of 'agency politics' and whatever, but things like that certainly aren't going to help your case. an agent doesn't care if you're 'stressed' or 'exhausted', because in their eyes they've just been fucked around by not having someone turn up to a booking and not even bother to call.

Hence the reason I no longer can be fucked with private party work and returned to the clubs. I'm only doing one night per week now if that and I'm totally okay with it. I don't see it as a major source of income. I'm not treating it as a major source of income because it isn't for me.
I work sooooooo much more differently and better in the clubs IMO.
I'm a little "over" the whole thing to be quite honest. I'm only do one night per week for extra income (if I am booked and even if I am not then that is okay).
I care about the agents that care about me don't get me wrong.
BTW, when I am stressed I get exhausted and my body says to me "sleeep! sleeep!". I am NOT like you Morr. Stress works differently on me. It always has worked differently and that's the reason why I dispise highly competative environments and/or high stress situations. It affects me negatively not positively. It doesn't motivate me. It de-motivates me. It can lead into depression for me and that makes me tired/sleepy.
Yes, I mind fuck myself. It is something I'm constantly working upon.
BTW, the rant online here took two seconds and I only did it because I wanted to rant. I repeat: I was NOT thinking straight. I was too pre-occuipied with trying to find my phone to think of anything else. It was the most consuming thought I had at the time.
Anyway, it is over. It is in the past. Whatever. Let's all move on. Life is waaaaaaaaay to short to habour anger or a grudge or to even focus on the past.
In the end, it doesn't concern me because I can see the bigger picture. Private parties is not really going to be part of that bigger picture. I made that decision when I cut back to one night per week.

Let dead dogs lie. It's in the past. It happened. Nothing anyone can do about it. Let's all move on ... sheesh! I have moved on. Why must people waste so much energy concentrating on the past or even holding onto it? It is a WASTE of energy. Use your energy for more positive and constructive purposes. I have learnt my lesson. Other people will learn thru my lesson. Let's get on with life. Thank you. That is my rant.

From an agency point of view I wouldnt let it stop me giving you any more work Vanessa. If we never gave work to girls who made a mistake from time to time we would have no one working for us!
Yes it's bad news for the customer and for the agency (not t mention the girl) but at the end of the day its business and if you think everything goes to plan 100% of the time then you live in a dream world.
Forget the agency Vanessa, I know your a bloody good worker so it's their loss.

vanessa, we are not dwelling on the past, we are trying to give you advice. but forget it, if you're gonna get in such a huff and ignore everyone trying to HELP YOU, we won't bother ever again and we'll just let you make your mistakes.

Look everyone. I really honestly do appreciate all the help. Honestly. It is just that I am the type of person (and I'm working on trying to be more of a listener and not have to do so) to have to learn everything the hard way (as such). My family can attest to this one! I have always learnt and grown thanks to my mistakes. If I made no mistakes, I wouldn't grow so I welcome them. It's the reason why I don't dwell on them anymore.
There are also bigger things happening in my life at the moment (overall life plan/path as such) that I can see etc and the reason behind these "problems" and such.
Anyway, I won't get into it here. This is not the board nor place for me to get into it for me. Let's just say that this little "bump" is just that ultimately in my life. It isn't going to stop me from persuing my ultimate life plan.
The Universe knows what it is doing. I trust and have faith in the Universe that it knows what it is doing. That these little "frustrations" etc are all part of its plan for me. That I am meant to experience them .... not just for my own growth ... hopefully for other peoples' growth as well.
;) Hence the reason I said let dead dogs lie. Next.... ;D

the universe doesn't help those who refuse to help themselves. And yes, you are a VERY hard person to get a point across to... A lot of us have really tried to help make things easier because you even ASK for it (you did in this case too!). Maybe we all really should stop helping and let you learn for yourself. It's just too frustrating. It's a pity though, because lately your work ethics have been bringing down more than just you. You're hurting other people, too. But I am DEFINITELY not getting involved in THIS one.

Bah humbug... I have a waitressing in the Sunny Coast after a shift in the Gold Coast... and then I have to wait four hours for a show in the Sunny coast... I'm trying to get work to fill those four hours but... rawr...

PSH... guys last night took pictures when I told them not to.. I started to leave and I heard all the guys go, "Let's not let her leave!" and they all (40!) got naked and started blocking off entrances and locking doors on me. I ran out, got into my car (where they started yelling how I was a fat slut and they wanted a REFUND!) and they even started blocking my car. I CAN PLAY CHICKEN! I HAVE THE FUCKING CAR! So I started going after them (self defence, after all) and they ran off... some followed me... but I was on the phone with ROB the whole time who had his hand on his other phone to dial the police in case anything happened.
Damn it.

What do you DO?! What if there's a girl who just can't fucking do it and refuses to believe you? "Oh but if I do x or y or z, I can make $$$!"... no, no you fucking can't!! What if there's a girl who so fricken jaded she won't even listen to you? You just wanna shake her and go, "THIS IS NOT THE JOB FOR YOU!" But she keeps calling you, IMing you, messaging you asking for help and you can't help any more?
ARGH!

Last night was the first time I was surrounded by drugs at a party, interestingly. I was not against the other girls doing them, or the boys doing them... and I was really lucky I wasn't considered a 'prude' because the guys understood I was a recovering addict (that was really nice)....
So they even gave me massages and I bathed (in a bikini) in a huge hot tub overlooking Byron Bay... I swam in a giant pool... I had a fabulous time... they were great guys, sweet girls... everything.
I think I just realized how bad the addiction was. I was having nervous shaking panic attacks because it was right there and I wasn't having any. I mean, right in front of me.. dollars and SANDWICH BAGS full of stuff...
And I didn't even drink.
I had a great time... I just wish I had never realized how bad I was addicted. :(

^That was a great booking by the way! 5 million dollar mansions overlooking the city with huge hot tubs and massage tables... fun-times! :D The only thing that really bothered me was my own mental demons... other than that - everyone was a doll.
We even caught huge tree frogs and shared bubble baths. :D

Wow, go me for stuff-up of the year!!
I was asked to do a Glass House shift this friday 3 weeks ago. I thought it was LAST friday and went in and did the shift... of course I told my agent RH that I would be exclusive for them that week on... so....
I got a shift from RH after I told them I'd be exclusive...
but the other agent still needs a girl to pick up that shift...
Christ...
I'm tempted to offer another agent $40 to send a girl up there to get the $60 from the other agent.
I'll pay the agent's cut!!
M2m?!
Ahhh...
cancel the one I promised and make a poor agent short on girls for the week or cut out on the one that asked me to be exclusive?
AHH!!

ARGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
I go exclusive with Red Hot and they give me a job V-day night. Straight strip... not so bad as it was really close but I don't get the money because it was a present from a wife that was far away. I felt so awkward being a random girl in a hotel... that was okay but...
I give them my exclusitivity and that's all I've been called for?! :( I have on pub shift today and a show for the owner's FRIENDS... which scares the buttfuck out of me since I'm not sure if I'm being 'tested' or anything.
And lately I've been getting adult-oriented prank calls about my work! WTF? Who the hell has my number AND knows where I've been working?
It's scary, man. :(
GoldCoastGirl
02-15-2007, 11:57 PM
I'm certainly not sharing your number with anyone...........and the exclusivity thing will take time. Darcy/Ashlee can tell you how one week she was busy as all hell and the next she would only have one show. It is just the way it goes. It will pay off in the long term as now you can build a website and promote yourself alongside the agent (link it back to the agent's site) with no problems.... and that should help? No?
Darcy Foxx
02-16-2007, 12:18 AM
Even after being one of the top girls at the agency I worked exclusively for for years, I still had weeks when I'd only get one show, or even none at all! Sometimes it's just quiet. Sometimes you just get a week when everyone wants the blondes. Then you have weeks where every single guy that rings up wants to request you.
Exclusitivity doesn't guarantee you work 100% of the time, because sometimes, it's just quiet. They can't give you shows if shows aren't being booked. It will guarantee you shows if it's busy, but there's nothing an agent can do if it's just a quiet week.

ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!
I love how I lock my keys in my car and it's "Oh poor you" until the guys at the pub figure out I'm American.
TWO MOTHER FUCKING HOURS OF "Hahaha, you would expect an AMERICAN to lock her keys in her car! All of them are so fucking STUPID!"
"Haha, you guys can't even drive on the right side of the road, what did you think you could drive without your keys, too?"
"We should sell this bitches' car... because American's don't deserve to be driving in our country anyway!"
.... I mean.. REALLY mean fucking shit... ALL of it because I was American... and I got NONE of that until someone asked me where I was from.. before then it was 'Help the poor girl'... and then it was 'attack the stupid American'.
I even asked them, "C'mon, NONE of you have locked your keys in the car?!"
To which I got, "Yeah, but at least none of us are stupid yanks!"
... ugh.
:( :( :(
I can't believe people don't think this shit exists here.
GoldCoastGirl
02-16-2007, 06:22 PM
I know it exists just that I'm not exposed to it because I'm Australian.
I thought you could pass as Aussie (and I have heard you... you can) so why not stay as such... just say you are born and bred in Brisbane and spent two years in America travelling and that will explain why you may come over as American ..... unfortunately, you are going to have to invent a background and not be so honest besides... it isn't really any of their business in the end.
None the less, to avoid this in future you may have to just pretend you are an Aussie who travelled America for the last two years so you 'accidentially' picked up an American accent whilst over there.
If they ever ask anything in regards to your location or where you were raised in Brisbane... either say all over the place and pick a few suburb names and/or just pick one rather large suburb. If they want specifics, tell them that you do not know them and rather not give out such personal information.

WHY WHY WHY!!!
You wouldn't go up to a black person and call them a nigger and say it was a joke.. so WHY IS IT SO GODDAMN FUNNY TO CALL ME A 'SEPPO'?!
I told everyone I studied in America for two years and it went over REALLY well... I mean, REALLY well... they treated me like gold.. didn't ask any more questions and then...
and then...
I was finished with my show and someone asked where I was from and Dee yelled out, "She's a bloody yank!!"
and then chanting.. the chanting... and her partner STARTED it... "Seppo!!!"
"SEPPO!!!"
...I ran to my car crying...
I felt like I was outed for being some evil witch or something and now all the christians had pitchforks and were pointing at me going 'witch! witch!'....
I cried for two hours that night... AND the entire drive home...
I think the last words I said that night to Michael were, "I don't get it... I'm still human."

I've never even heard the term "Seppo" used before. What does it mean?
Also... I've worked with lots of American girls, and I've never heard anyone say anything bad to them about it. I have friends who came from America and have thick accents and nobody teases them about it. I don't understand why it seems to be constantly happening to you?

It's Australian slang for American.. it literally means 'septic tank'.
Nobody probably teases them IN FRONT of you. I have a million friends it happens to in this country.
Also, it could be location: Sydney people were SO FUCKING nice to me... Brisbane people are really the only ones that have given me shit over it. I think it's a Queensland thing.

Yeah, maybe it is a Queensland thing. As a rule, I tend to find Queenslanders are more racist than Australians from other states (though I should also add that it's hardly universal- plenty of Queenslanders are far from being racist). I think it's embedded in local culture there to some degree (there's a reason you get people like Pauline Hanson in Ipswich..). I studied with several American exchange students while doing my BA (in Melbourne, obviously) and I never heard anything said about their nationality. I've also worked with Americans and didn't notice any hostility directed at them on the basis of their nationalities. I'm not saying there's no anti-American sentiment elsewhere in Australia, but as far as I can tell it tends to be political and cultural rather than directed at individuals who happen to have been born there.
I've never heard 'seppo' or 'septic tank' used either; in fact I wasn't aware that there was an epithet slang term for Americans, besides 'Yank', of course, which hardly seems like an epithet.

How long ago is what? If you're asking when I worked with Americans, it was in 2005-early 2006. I had several in my classes when I was in first year uni in '97.
It seems ridiculous to blame all Americans for the war, particularly given that most Americans are now against it. (Just as most Australians were and are, and the fact of our involvement is a product purely of the Howard government).

People in Sydney were SO friendly to me - that's when I think I realized it's mainly (and not entirely, like you said) a Queensland thing... I mean.. Queensland is kinda known (no offense) for being the 'bogan' state of the country... I mean.. here it's all beer and pies and sausage sizzles... in Sydney it seemed that a sausage sizzle was a rare treat you had with your expensive shiraz to feel more 'bogan' as a joke-type thing. In the heart of Brisbane it also happens less...
My worst places so far were - Bileola, Mt. Isa, Ipswich (duh), Toowoomba and Morayfield... kinda the more 'bogan' of areas, y'know?
People from Melbourne are always so nice to me, too! I want to live there someday. <3
I have to keep reminding people re: war, "Hey, don't blame me... I ran AWAY from there, didn't I?" 'cause really... it's not like I stayed to put up with that Bush shit.

MOTHERFUCKER!
Some guy at a show RECOGNIZED ME... why? because he saw a hidden video of me doing a show!!! Yes, that's right.. somewhere on the internet I am masturbating for people to NOT PAY ME to watch...
And when I started questioning the guy he totally shut up! He wouldn't tell me where this website was.
All I know is it sounded very manly (the url) and that it was amateur.. that's it.
Grrr...
Here's hoping it wasn't actually me.. because the guy only noticed when I showed him a pic of me with no glasses.

I would really love a copy.. please tell me where it is on the internet so I can get off watching myself sort of thing.
Yes total bs however it isn't confrontational ???

Did you know that for this show:
$250 (30 minutes)
A few different vibrators are used along with a string of pearls and lolly pops plus some other wonderful props. ( Some girls even use vibrators that light up and glow in the dark! ). Each girl adds a little extra something to their show.
and this show:
$280 (30 minutes)
Vibrators, Pearls, Lollypops, Creams, Oils, Natural masturbation acts. much more open leg work ( as in less dance and straight into the action) and topped off with strawberries and cream! The girl adds a little whipped cream to somewhere special on her body, dips the strawberry into the cream and offers the strawberries to those who like a bit of sweetness in their day!
I get paid EXACTLY THE SAME?!
Fuck, I have to buy those strawberries and cream specifically for those shows because they go off quickly and I don't even get any more money but the agency does??!!
---
Even better, they told me I have to do it tomorrow but they never gave me a time... and I asked for it twice!

Still amazes me how cheap the strips are over east, how much does the agent take off that? We would pay the girl minimum $350 after our commission for that type of show.
