Ok well if she didn't already feel horrible.....I'm sure 3 pages worth of people ripping into her probably will (hopefully!)
IMO if you didn't feel guilty about it, you wouldn't have said anything to anyone. People mess up. You made a very bad mistake was made but your only human. Luckily you can still amend the situation at least somewhat.
If he's smart and it's not drug $$$ he probably will go to the police. Beat him to it. Take it to the police. I'm honestly not sure what will happen to you but chances are slim that you will even have to pay a fine (technically he DID give it to you right???) Although maybe someone with more knoweledge about the judicial system can help me out here???
You stole it. Plain and simple. Make it right or at least try....

so if I give a bank teller money, and she runs out the back door with it, it's not stealing?

so if I give a bank teller money, and she runs out the back door with it, it's not stealing?
No, because in that instance you are telling the teller to deposit the money. You aren't giving it to the teller for personal use. Now, if the bank teller is working her night shift at the local strip club and you are a customer and say "here" with your hand out full of cash "take this," then that money is a gift.
mblank
10-20-2006, 10:31 AM
However, SC_Dude if you told the teller to deposit - say $200 and you accidently handed her $300, shouldn't the teller hand back the extra $100. And if she doesn't, isn't that theft?

This post really disturbs me, to be honest. It kinda makes me feel sad inside. I do not like stealing and the biggest moral issue that I see with stripping is NOT the exhibitionist/sexual nature of the job, but the hard-hustling and rip-offs that I observe. I am an honest person and I've hardly stolen in my lifetime. Well, except for a few McDonalds Happy Meal toys at the McDonalds I worked at, but that was only because the asshole manager wouldn't let me go to the break room at the end of my shift to retrieve my PAID FOR Happy Meal toys, resulting in someone stealing them, so in spite I stole back the extra toys from McDonalds to make up for the loss. And when I was 11 yrs old, my sister bitched so much about me leaving my bath sponge hanging on the shower faucet(as opposed to hanging it up on the wall), that my mom sided with her and made me pay my sister $0.25 for every time I forgot to hang my sponge on the wall. After paying my sister $1(this was during a time when I made only $2/week allowance), I raided her piggy bank and stole back my $1 because I didn't think my mom was being fair to favor my sister as usual. And a few years ago when I was absolutely dirt-poor and couldn't even afford bus fare, sometimes I'd buy $0.60 transfers and use them instead of the $1.30 tickets, hoping the bus drivers wouldn't notice that the transfers were ineligible for that ride. But all that is petty shit, mostly outta retaliation, spite, and self-insecurity.
Last year at Oasis, a guy paid me for a lapdance with a $100 instead of a $20 by accident. It was dark and hard to see. I yelled for him as he was leaving, and insisted that I give him his change. Two dancers snickered and made fun of me for it, saying they woulda kept the money, but the couch room guy defended me and said that he wished other dancers were as nice as I was. I shoulda left that place feeling good for the good deed that I did, but instead I left feeling like a pushover/loser because those two assholes had to snicker at me.
I'm sorry to rant, but this whole theft issue brings up a lot of bad memories that I had. Bad memories of people stealing from me, despite me being a good person. Bad memories of fucking asshole pieces of scum falsely accusing me of stealing, simply on the basis that I was poor and "needed" the money. It is thefts like this, that cause customers to distrust me or others. It gives strippers a bad name. What if this guy starts stiffing dancers, as a kinda "revenge" against dancers as a whole? Odds are, I'll probably be one of those pathetic losers who ends up dancing for someone like him and then he will attempt to stiff me. It's happened to me several times before(luckily, I always fought back and eventually got my money, except for one single time that the manager let him walk out...that was the last time I worked at THAT club!). You know what? I'm gonna elaborate on this issue on another thread. Meet me at The Lounge.

The bitch about karma is that had she actually been nice about things, and given this man his money, and been honest and sweet about it, she would have scored major points for being honest, and possibly kept him in VIP room all night. He may have even given her all the money anyway. If anything, he would have left very happy with his experience in the club and with her, and would have came back and spent more time with her. She could have potentially ended up with more than the $5000.
Instead, he hates that club and the bitches in it that stole from him, and he is going to tell everyone he sees not to go to that club and to espicially avoid that girl.

Blah, blah, blah... probably not true, probably some troll who keeps coming back and posting these stories to see what we say... not cool... call the police at least so that you will able to return the money... being drunk is not a good reason to rip people off... although it is not your fault that he is driving drunk.... also note that $5000 is a lot - frequently the "bar" between the low and high sentences or petty and grand larceny, so trust me, the guy WILL be back, and you will likely be charged because it is actually a serious crime. Good on you. Enjoy your vacation.

My thought on this is that the dancer is young, maybe is living somewhere where greed is common (LA, LV or something), and she was just behaving in a way that she *thought* would be praised. When she discovered that greed leading to theft was not a rush at all, but a horrible experience, it sounds like she is now attempting to make things right.
Since she does claim to have called the cops and we haven't heard back from her yet, she has likely been booked and is waiting to see the judge.

My opinion won't be popular, but I think it's kind of funny. After all, how many assholes do you deal with? They don't lie? They don't steal? They don't treat you like a prostitute? From my husband's point of view (stuff he's heard from his gangster friends) - those guys would steal from you in a heart beat. If they had a chance, they'd gang rape you in all your holes. I'm not trying to be nasty, just repeating things I've heard guys say. Maybe we shouldn't feel so sorry for these guys.....

HOWEVER, Morality aside, it's just a stupid idea. It's not in YOUR best interest to screw people over like this. Do you want to have to look over your shoulder all the time? Stealing makes you paranoid and with good reason...people will get their revenge, violently or legally and you will get in trouble eventually. You could have made that money in a few weeks of hard work.

I understand the points about how the guy shouldn't have been carying 5K in a strip club , and that guys are assholes to us 400 times a night, its about time someone was an asshole back - HOWEVER, Why should we discourage a customer from bringing large amounts of money? He was obviously going to spend it, he had dropped 2 or 300 on one girl already, he could have been planning on spending alot of it on all the girls in there, and what's wrong with that? Thats why we're there. And then - just IMO, when people are assholes to me, it makes me thankful I'm not one, it doesn't make me want to be one. Que hipocracy. I wouldnt want to be ripped off, so I wouldnt rip someone off. I dont think either of those defenses justify 5K. Even if she's not telling the truth, just generalizing that I think those theories are kind of sucky. If girls like that didnt rip people off and give the idea that we were going to steal, maybe people would bring more money, and thus, spend more money, thus the honest girls make more money.

HOLD UP
you guys are getting on this girl for not giving the guy back his money but HE GAVE HER $5000. He put it in her hand and then walked away. It was his fault. That money is not easy to confuse with the $200 that he owed her. He accidentally tipped her all that money and she does not have to give it back. How is this different from when someone tips you a 20 on stage by accident? We've had threads about that where girls refuse to give it back, this is just a lot more money.
I agree havingthe guy arrested was pretty bad, but he was driving drunk and deserved it. He could have called a cab too.

Are you kidding me? If you accidentally gave someone a $100, would you want it back? Yes. the dude was drunk, and yanno? It was probably dark in there. I saw a girl DROP all her money once, $1400 all together and she never even noticed. I was nice enough to give it back to her. No one deserves to lose money like that, not in that sort of way. EVeryone in their lives makes a HUGE mistake and this was his. She was a shady bitch to do that to him, and THEN have him arrested on false charges. She's a damned scumbag and she makes me sick.

5000 is not easy to confuse with 200. not at all. its actuallly 48 extra $100 bills. Im sorry but he gave it to her, he didnt peel 2 off and give them to her he handed her the entire wad. How can being drunk be an excuse for this dumb man and not for this girl who took the money he GAVE to her? And she had him arrested for drunk driving! You just said in your post that he was drunk, and she posted that he was driving, how is that false charges?

No Paige - I hope someone does take advantage of her when she is drunk. Because at this stage the bimbo deserves it. PinkIsPimp that is
Because now she has perpetuated ( thats a big word and I am going to wait while you go look it up PinkisPimp ) the propaganda that all strippers must steal from the patrons of a strip club because well , they are to stupid to make money any other way..
Personally I just wanted to give a big shout out to PinkisPimp to say thanks for making my job that much more difficult and also my life as well because now that guy you ripped off is going to lump me in with you and that just pisses me off.
Thanks a bunch!!! Really......
BS or not, it still puts this sort of crap in peoples minds when individuals that are not in the industry come by and read this sort of trash.

i also think this girl is seriously a troll...and if this did really happen, it IS kinda hard to mistake 2 bills (100 each) for like 50 of them. thats one reason this sounds like a bull shit story. 2nd of all, if it did happen, why did you tell everyone about it? i would be so ashamed of myself that i wouldnt tell ANYONE. well, i wouldnt have done something like that in the first place, but if i did i wouldnt tell anyone....especially my CAB driver, who could easily go to the club and tell the manager. and my last thing- yea your really gonna call the police and give BACK the money and apologize...HAHAHAHAHA! yea yea...your high on drugs, and you stole 5 g's, but all of a sudden you just had a major change of heart because the girls on SW called you a theif....whatever, this is a troll.

if this isn't a troll post...
i've been drunk many times *though 95% of the time i avoid drinking till drunk at work* and i can tell you that no matte HOW drunk someone gets, they do not do things completelt out of character. sure.. you might do some things that you wouldn't do sober, but nothing insanely against your morals. drinking doesnt make someone turn into a pedophile, a murderer, or a thief. you can still tell right from wrong, so don't play that card. in fact, you told us that you knew right from wrong when you said you told your friend "i know i shouldn't" i hope that money gets back to him. he -will- come back to that club looking for information. there's also a -really- good chance he will press charges and/or sue the shit out of you (and he should). plus, since you told a bunch of people, he has a pretty fucking good chance of getting some witnesses together. esp. given the fact that he has money to spread around. also, does your club have cameras? you could be on video looking through all that money.

uh, actually I did know a girl that happened to; a guy handing her 5,000. The house mom backed up her story...the girl was new and she came up to the dressing room with a little over 5,000 in cash. The housemom freaked out and thought she had ripped the guy off. She chased him down the street and asked him if he knew how much money he had given her. The guy said yes, he did, he gave it to her because she was nice and all the other girls had ignored him.

I also think this is BS. But based on the premise that this really happened, I think the alcohol/ drug excuse is bullshit too. I'm sick and tired of people throwing in alcohol/ drugs in when they come forward and admit to doing something truly heinous.
Does anyone really believe Mel Gibson magically turned into an anti-Semite just because he had a few too many, or that Mark Foley would never have had a thing for teenage boys if he wasn't an alcoholic?
I have said/done lots of stupid shit when I was drunk or high but if I decided to steal from someone it was because I already had it in me. I think she would probably have stolen regardless of her level of impairment.
The finer points of this have already been discussed to death, but that's my 2 cents.
to the poster that thinks someone wouldnt give a girl a 5 grand tip...ive been a girl that has gotten more then that...it does happen. and the guy didnt back peddle at all about it . and no lie swear on my kids a girl i worked with at the redgarter got my old regular to give her a 10 grand tip..but she is a lying cunt. still i have to applaud her in setting a fucking record.
however the original post is bs.
but claiming drunken shit is retarded .yah i've done shit otherwise i wouldnt have done or said had i not been drunk BUT at the same time the drugs and being drunk just brings out shit that was already there ( if that makes sense ) it basically just enables people by giving them rather large balls ., that sober they would not have had
