Lillith is right about the percentages- PERCENT wise the club is too high- money-wise it still works BECAuse the dances are more $$$. plus, it makes it seem more upscale- if people truly think price dictates value and quality, or if they are on an ego trip, or following the basic principal of economics regarding how people respond to incentives... in this case, it is almost the opposite effect because it is a sexual/psychological thing. I suppose that is another choice- charge less for dances and take a smaller percentage, or charge more and take more... either way, please make sure the dancers are able to make a good living.

other ideas if I were to run a profitable an FUN SMALLER strip club...
a juke box. yes. 20 bucks- customer/dancer negotiates she dances to a certain song or two instead of normal dancer-picked songs. that might be a good 40/60 split. hell, i'd happily dance to something out of the ordinary for some extra $$$, plus it would probably mean that customer was interested in me already.

if you are out in corona... have a BIKE NIGHT on a sunday... riding day. YES..... untapped niche group with LOTS of disposable income. cruisers and sportbikes, have you ANy idea how much these people have to spend on their bikes? hell, my bike is my girlfriend!!!! just some ideas. good luck.

yeah i know what you mean,
any way i do it,
any way i price the dances
it has to work out where the dancers make a good living wage
after all they are what makes the club.

im thinking if we were to charge
40 dollars for a 1 song nude dance
the dancer should keep at least 30 of it
and of course if the club gets money for every dance
then there shouldnt be any other house fees,
the house should pay the waitress' and dj ect.
out of the precentage they already took.

i had given thought to promotions and such.
I couldnt agree more, recreation riders are loaded a majorty of them at least
and it would be great to get them in the club.
lets say show up on a streetbike get the cover charge comped,
because really often times some people that get in free, could spend thousands in
a sigle trip to the strip club

cheers

i simply say this because Corona, if that is where your club is to be located, is close enough to:

Pro Italia (ducati/aprillia flagship store in Glendale)
Angeles Crest Highway
Fontana speedway

etc. etc.

THERE are No Strip Clubs Yet That Cater To Bikers.
plus, what do dancers want? (not to get too off topic) A man in full leathers who can't try and unzip his pants so damn easily!!

other than general cali. economy and capital investment, dancers, fees, etc., look at the targeted demographic in your area. this may be of some use.

however, looking back at some other posts, and trying not to be age-discriminatory- i would say- see how the climate goes, try to work your way into management first and gain some experience working in clubs before you decide to launch your own. if you are this young (18??) then some extra knowledge and connections would greatly benefit you.

i have to much as it is lol, but i need experience in the industry
and hopfully can work up to managment.

I find that the fairest house is always a set fee...as in Monday thru Thursday $80 and Friday thru Sun $110 or something relative to the cost of living. And tipping up to the dancer for the bouncers, DJ, Bartender, etc. Also another way to gain more money for the club, but not rip your dancers off is to charge a "booth fee" for VIP/Champagne room.

The club I work at goes as such:

3 songs ~ 75 (25 for the booth fee for the club and 50 for the girl)
6 songs~ 150 (50 for the booth fee for the club and 100 for the girl)
1 hour~ 300 (100 for the booth fee for the club and 200 for the girl) *two free drinks

Also, I don't recommend charging girls for lap dances. Some clubs take a cut of the single song dances, but honestly if you're running a full nude club you shouldn't dare take a cut of that. At my club the 1 song dances are $10 and the girl gets to keep that. It gives me peice of mind to know that money is mine and I don't have to keep track or have someone keeping track for me (mistakes can happen and you end up over charging).

Another way to get good money for the club is to offer shirt or hat dances on weekends, which sells the merch and gives your club publicity. Also get adult film stars to come in or do themed stage shows.

I recommend having a nice dressing room for the ladies and a house mom, bc I know if I didn't have my house mom I would freak out on the slow nights.

the flat fee seems reasonable
and better for dancers

and i do think your right...
the club should only get part of the vip room dances
but not from dances done out on the floor

here for the most part

a nude 1 song dance goes for $40
and most clubs take half which seems a very high.

only 10 dollars?
isnt that a bit too cheap?

duely noted,
i was already planning on giving dancers
a decent dressing room, it seems many clubs
dont give them a good dressing room.

thanks :-)
