"Kasakhstan the greatest country in the world... all other countries are run by little girls. Kasakhstan number one exporter of potassium... other countries have inferior potassium...."
Just saw it again yesterday. Still hilarious.

It's not the same as Jim Carrey/ Austin Powers stuff... it's satire, straight up. That's what makes it so funny.

Ok..I'm going to have to rethink this movie. It looked to me to be a modern take on Yakov Smirnoff(sp?)..but I guess not....

About how Americans are jackasses and how racist our country is and how they hate us all.
I've gotten some pretty bad comments from people who've seen the movie.
And I haven't seen it! :(
They wanted it banned here.

I saw it and I kept thinking about my old Kazahkstani (i won't bother to look that up speliing-wise) coworker. We were living in a trailer for two months working on a farm. She was straight off the plane, very broken English, and she said "call me Nastya", and I was all "nasty" is not a nickname you want here.
She got pulled over for drunk driving twice while we were in the middle of the countryside, so it must have been pretty bad. And everytime we'd try to take her anywhere, she'd bemoan the smoking ban. She lit up in shopping malls, in movie theatres, on the bus, lol...she said "who cares? Evvvrrrybudy dies". I love that Russiany accent and fatalism. She said her version of fun back in the home country was to "sit with friends on mountain and drink vodka."
:O My brother works with several Eastern Europeans who REFUSE to wear their respirators in a factory full of toxic fumes....I was aghast but apparently they just don't care about getting poisoned. As for the heavy drinking, well, this is in rural Tennesee so they fit right in. :P

Really? Geez, people can be so sensitive! I've been watching The Ali G Show for a few years now-and it's not just Americans he makes look silly, it's everyone!! His Borat character is absolutely hilarious, and I have to say I have never, ever laughed so hard in my life watching him-SBC is a comedic genius!!!
