I counted my money while driving home, felt so awesome then stopped to give a homeless lady 20$ and my jacket. I felt like I had to give something back, show g-d I was still a good person, etcetra.
Hahaha I totally did something similar! I auditioned on a Thursday afternoon and stayed until close, and walked out with about $500 total. I remember how excited I was... I had never had so much money in my life! I laugh now, because I may have been appealing to customers considering I was new, etc, but I was SO bad at the actual lapdance part- I couldn't get them to buy a second dance to save my life! Anyway, on my way home, I stopped to buy a bum an insanely large amount of food at a grocery store. The next day, I took a few of my friends out to dinner... it took me awhile to figure out the "saving" part- I figured I could just hand out that money like it was nothing.

LM, I think most of us around here try to stress to newbies that no one should expect to make a fortune their first night (or 10, or 30 for that matter). It's very often mostly luck if we do well in the beginning.
Heck, in most cases I think it's good if a newbie manages to make her fees and bring home food/gas money for the day. This is a tough business and, IMO, any girl who can get through her first night even turning a miniscule profit (especially in the current business climate) has potential to do really well when she gets more experience.
Has something to this effect been posted in the stickies in the newbie section? Because I think it would be nice to have there, to help encourage the girls...

i am NOT sitting and talking too long with custies that is the mistake i have made the last 2 nights. when i asked one for a dance he said he felt like he knew me too well! ok wont make that mistake twice.

I did one dance. Yup. One. It was dayshift at a tiny, slow, skanky dive, and I was scared shitless and totally awkward. I made good tips on stage, and left with $50 or so. I was really disappointed, but totally determined to dance until I'd at least paid for my shoes. A week or so later, I moved to a better club, and the money's gone up ever since.

I don't remember how much I did. I do remember doing okay. I just socialized to everyone. Plus when custy find out that you are a newbie, they are happy to show you the ropes (or what they think the ropes are). It could be profitable to tell a guy that you are a newbie. Of course you have to know how to play it off.

i did 9 dances, 5 for the same guy who was really into the idea of being my first customer.
I made just enough after tipout to cover everything I bought (outfit, shoes, etc) plus a nice breakfast for me and my boyfriend.
And now I'm about to go in for my 2nd night!

I'm going to look totally stupid here and might even get flamed...but I didn't make much money at all on my very first day dancing. I was nervous and shy and had kinda "forced" myself into dancing because of a dire situation I was in. I didn't do a single lapdance. I was too shy to ask customers for lapdances, and too afraid to give one. I thought that just auditioning, and then actually having the balls to return to the club after I was hired, were big steps enough...I wanted to give myself some time to watch how the girls dance, get comfortable, and get acquainted before I'd worry about lapdances(kinda like an orientation period). I started on a horribly dead dayshift, but it got busier as the night went on. The whole experience was pretty nerve-wracking, but I felt less nervous when I left, and then I started to make something resembling REAL money the next shift I worked.
Another mistake that I did, was being too nice to the cheap customers. The only jobs I'd held before dancing, other than tutoring, were stupid retail jobs where they shoved the "customer is always right" philosophy down our vulnerable throats. I would talk to guys for a set period of time just for the sake of talking and providing "customer service"...even if the guy wasn't tipping anything or even if he was rather insulting(the first guy I ever approached coming off the stage at a club, was one of those burly obnoxious fuckers but I still stayed and talked, just for the sake of being "customer friendly"). Man I totally sucked when I first started. That, and I didn't know how to dance for shit. I made less than $100 in 7hrs, and that's considering that a very cool customer(he came in there frequently) gave me a $20 tip! I was like "wow, a whole $20!" Because I'd always been confined to making shit money, I had no perception of money and was satisfied at making a small amount, simply because it was more than what I'd made at my former (retail) job. Man I don't even want to remember how I was back then, in ANY aspect of my life...I think it's obvious that I hate who I was, and I've done a complete 180 since then, thank god...

I got a half hour with my first ever customer plus another 3 dances or so... After tipping out I think made £140, triple what I made at the office job I left it for!

Well, my first night was very recent...last Monday! I had one guy grab me as soon as I stepped onto the floor, and he bought 4 dances off the bat. I have no idea why because I was shaking like a leaf! I heard the housemom walk by and say "Wow, she's nervous." Um...no shit!
As freaked out as I was, though, that man gave me the confidence to work it the rest of the night. I ended up doing about 20 dances and made great stage tips. Walked out with over $200, which I was VERY happy with for a total newb ;D
