I dunno about the whole, it's-just-better-because-they're-foreign thing. Americans who live abroad are VERY different from those who never go anywhere. Whenever I've been/lived elsewhere, I've always found the Americans living there to be MUCH more cultured, interesting, etc. I think that Kabuchicko's American boy is just an example of that difference.
This is very very very true.

Hehe. That's pretty much how I feel about it ;D
Optimist, YES you must dish on the Bahamas boys :P

Some of my very best friends have been Americans that I met abroad....of course, when I was abroad, I still couldn't mess with any American boys. That's like taking sand to the beach ;D :P
I agree, my guy does live in the States :'( but has travelled loads and I met him while travelling.

Yup I'm maried to an american fella (his parents are from the caribbean) I prefer them to british men I find the dudes back home dull. As for european men...yes they are romantic and know how to appreciate a fine woman the only problem is that they are this way with ALLLLLL women. Great for a lay but not hubby material.
Seraya.
And I totally know what you mean here!

Well you're right of course. The thing is, cheating / playing isn't a nationality/racial thing. Americans do it just as much as anyone else, if not more. So if we gotta be stuck with some cheating, lying, playing bastards, they might as well at least be GOOD at it, huh? ;D

oh yea... my ex BF was from spain...the sex was all about ME..and relly good, and he gave me manacures and lots of back and foot rubs. even now that i'm married we still keep in touch, he has a thing about brushing and washing my hair and still with the manacures, even though i wont have sex with him.
my hubby tires to be romantic, usualy jsut flowers...but hes confused by what to do, and never gives real complements, "you're the prettiest girl in the car." WTF?!?! i'm the ONLY girl in the car. he got it from his mom "youre my favorite son" he was the only son!

Hehe. ^^That's exactly what I mean about the sloppy doofus thing. They just don't get it. I also think that, for whatever dumbass reason, our American boys think that doing such things as you describe, manicures, hair-brushing, etc, is too "gay" or just not masculine enough ::) Which of course is just dumb.

I like American guys. I haven't had a problem with a lack of appreciation - although a lot of what you guys like would make me feel a little suffocated, so...
I have run across several shower fixations in American boys - the hair washing especially (although, naturally your breasts get very, very clean), and I don't tend to meet a lot of sports addicted guys. Although whoever said that Americans were sports addicted and European men weren't has never tried to discuss football.

LOL the shower thing reminds me of when my hubby and i were first dating. we had some friends over and they were all getting drunk when i announced i had to take a shower b/c i had work in the morning and needed to go to sleep soon. my hubby started whining and i said, "well you could join me"..in his gleeful inebration he raced me to the bath room, got naked and layed in the tub probed up the oposite end from wher ethe faucet it..and just happily watched me shower.
funniest thing ever. kinda strange...i'm the only girl i've ever heard of who likes her man to be drunk...hes sweetier, gives me foot rubs/back rubs..performs better in bed for some reason.

^^Sounds like drunkenness allows him to escape his relationship inhibitions.

Damn... why isn't my partner?
I got him drunk for the first time last week and he came up with this gem:
"I have found a cure for ALCOHOLISM!... All it involves... is rewiring the brain!!!!"

Am I the only one with a good american boy? One that comes running to shower with me, pamper me, love me. A boy who brings me home Godiva dark chocolate just because he knows I freak out over the midnight swirl truffle. A boy who massages me without needing to be asked. A boy who spends the majority of special sunshine time making sure that I'm happy at least three times. I can't be the only one with a boy like this. Can I?
I've landed myself one of those rare diamonds, too. He was a little rough when we met, but he is definately more refined now.;)
Off topic, but... he said to me today "Please don't divorce me, but, the house is a wreck, and I'll clean up as soon as I get home."
Oh sigh. I'm a lucky lady!

I seem to have a totally different idea of 'romance' then all of you girls. Chocolates and flowers and that kind of stuff. I dunno, all it does for me is make incredibly awkward (which most likely has something to do with the fact I have a hard time recieving gifts).
My man hasnt given me a single gift since we started going out (which is about 8 months ago), he´d most likely not have the money for it anyway, but I dont care much for it anyway.
To me, romance is being inhibited and trusting and loving and approaching every day with your other half as a unique gift.
Sometimes when we are doing something together, he´ll sometimes look at me and tell out of nowhere: "You know, you are absolutely the most perfect girl Ive ever known. You´re the best thing that has ever happened to me."
Man, I swoon over that everytime, because I know he´s telling the truth.
That is more important to me than anything else.
Ofcourse it -is- a very good bonus that he takes care of the cat litter, takes the trash out, helps me do dishes and most likely cooks more often than me. >D
But yeah, I suppose Im the few of the lucky 'American man-owners' out there. :)

Hmmm... I need to send my man to Europe.... for lessons!

I don't know. I mean being from Sweden and just came back from many places in Europe, the guys in Europe are fine, but many cheat, OH do they!. It's the same as here. If i had my choice it would be a beautiful man from America. Not Russia, i see they don't treat their women too well. French men imo are wimps. I like rough men.`
American men seem to fit me fine. They are all the same deep down the same.
Black guys seem to want to just fuck, period...imo.
