Our trends are: lace boyshorts. i started it, b/c i buy most of my work stuff at juniors stres, now everyone does it! Too bad, b/c they're sooo cute. A couple of girls are trying to start a sports bra trend! Oh god... save me! I won't go there. Why buy boobies just to smoosh em? And, the cutest, long sleve dresses. I love it, but I don't do the trends. We also have the scrunchie butt, and cowl neck, as well as rhinestones.
I layer bright fishnets (hot pink, torquoise, purple) and keep them on durring dances. The whole stockings, not thigh highs. Everyone thinks they're wierd, so maybe they'll be mine for awhile...

As Eviltart can tell you, I rock the American Apparel tube socks, both in real life and at work. That's why I'm also not over the booty shorts/belt thing, or the legwarmers. My 'stripper' self has the same bad taste as my indie rock princess, real-life self. (I've never been known as the most, um, tasteful person, probably because I was raised by a woman who wanted everything to be navy and tailored; I'm still rebelling.)
And every piece of crappy 'work' jewelry I own has rhinestones on it somewhere-- even the casual stuff. I WILL NOT LET IT DIE.
I wish more stuff came in 'different' colors, not just black/white/neon. I have a beautiful olive tube gown, for instance, and a beige skirt set. I wish there was more stuff in these colors, or chocolate brown, and especially [non-neon] green. My hair goes from strawberry blonde to dark auburn depending on my mood and the time of year, but I'm a pale redhead with freckles-- I would buy everything in green if I could.

I absolutely love rhinestone chokers and clear platforms, but what can I say... To me they will always be staples. I am also a big fan of stockings.... especially fishnets... I never got into the legwarmers bit... I just don't see that working well when trying to work the pole?!?

everyone at my club is wearing either a string bikini, or a black bra/booty-panties duo with a garter belt and stockings. boring!

There was a time, about 12 years ago, when this rhinestone cowboy hat thing was all the rage. I mean, you weren't an "it" girl if you didn't have one! I can't remember exactly what they look like, but I can remember being soooo elated when a custy bought one for me. eewww!

heh... I just bought some leg warmers. I didn' tlike them at first but they really grew on me! I really hate these bathing suit looking things that girls have been wearing... Those ones that are one peice but backless and have a strap or two going from the boobs to the bottom. God, they are so unflattering! It's starting to die out, finally. Kind of like these http://www.stripperzone.com/sexyclothes/qq1137810756.jpg but they never look that good on the girl.

I love rompers. I think they're so cute, some are pretty classy and they complement me very well. There's one particular romper style I have in 3 different colors, lol. I should have a link somewhere, I'll try to find it...

Hehe. Rompers. They don't look good on everybody, but this is one of my hottest-selling items
I can see the appeal, but I am quite sure it wouldn't look good on me.
I even get alot of people doing specific searches on my site for that style number.

I remember when armwarmers were popular. They usually were bell sleeves that covered your hands and they matched a tube dress (short or long). Also, gauntlet gloves used to be a big thing too. Oh yeah, and fabric chokers (also coordinated to your tube dress) which velcroed. Last but most important, sequin garters.... no more plain white (gets dirty from the spray tan I guess).
body trends:
- tanlines painted on with white stick (either thong only or boobs too), but lately
I've seen some scrunchie butt tanlines...kinda curves down into your buttcrack.

Don't forget these..sometimes I like them sometimes they look dumb. I saw a girl wearing only one white one with a short white dress and it actually looked cute. I will wear my clear 8 inch platforms till I quit dancing!!

Hmmm... I don't think I've seen those but there's still something really familar about them. Were they popular maybe... three years ago?

Hehe - well like I said I can see why it's popular. Just not for me personally.
Bella21, that one you posted is also popular, about #2 after the one I posted earlier. I can see the sexiness in them ;D

Yeah, legwarmers are everywhere here. I wore them once, but they bother me...the way they pull down over the platform shoes, I think it looks like the girls have hooves. Trotting around the pole...so, non merci. But I enjoy the way they actually keep the leg warm because my club gets cold when it's slow daytime hours...I've taken to wearing over the knee socks (they go up just an or two over the knee cap). I think they look a lot cuter than leg warmers, and a few girls wear those too. Otherwise, for trends...uhm, slave lace up things, and the biggest trend here are the ankle boots. The granny boot kinda ones? I swear almost every dancer here has a pair.
http://www.snaz75.com/sky-3000.html These are the ubitiquous ankle boots. I am curious if they are popular in other areas too?

Molly, I haven't seen those boots in a long time! I don't find them attractive at all... I've heard they're good for pole tricks, though.

^^Ha, yeah I think it's one of those things that looks so initially ugly, but you get used to it. I bought a pair that's being shipped, soo...lol. They look really comfy, is the thing. My toes get a little sore if I'm doing long shifts in stillettos only.

Lol it does look like a diaper- mine is alot less fabric than that, and it's not that silly wrinkly fabric. I saw a dancer wearing one on a club website, I'll try to find it.
Aha! I knew I'd come across a picture. This is how a scarf should be worn.

I don't like the scrunchi butt so much becuse it reminds of a trend in the late 90's that was not in stripper gear it was the t shirt that scrunches at the boobs and for some reason i wore those shirts a lot and now i don't feel scrunchi any more. :)

When I was in Montana a few years ago all the girls had uber-long strings on the sides of their bikini bottoms...like they hung to the floor.
I have a big wound on the side of my thigh (just below where bikini sides hit), so I'm gonna add some thick strings to the sides of my bikini and let them hang down...probably just to mid-thigh length though. Yay for useful trends!
The biggest trend here that I haven't seen much elsewhere is booty shorts with pant legs attached like garters. Like this, but with garter straps between shorts and leggings:

Lots of girls around here have those bikinis with long strings. It looks really cool on stage when the girls spin around, cause they glow under the black light. I just bought some!

I've seen a lot of those shorts/bikini bottom-looking things with the super long ties.. Some of the things I've seen the most of would probably be the mini tubedress, the clear heels, the camisole & boyshorts combo and the long, open robes with the matching panties..

I love my legwarmers too. Not even for how they look, but they're so practical. We have no poles, so it doesn't affect that, but when I get cold I throw a pair on so my legs don't get stubbly. I like them cause you can still see my toes, so guys that like feet aren't left out. Plus painted toes are cute! All of the news girls at my club still wear the leg straps. It's horrible! They won't wear anything unless it's neon and comes with a matching pair. I don't get it. We call them the strappies. Alot of the girls wear short or mid length dresses. And rhinestone chokers will always be around! Girls wear the simple skirt and halter sets alot too. I always go over the top on my outfits though. Nothing comes together, so I just find stuff that works so I keep all of my outfits unique for my club. And I love big bracelets!

Bridgette's got them here. (http://stripper-clothes-shoes.com/bz1171.html)
And Kylie, it sounds like we have freakishly similar stripper styles. In fact, I have almost that exact same outfit you are wearing in your siggy (yes, even thrown together from all sorts of sources, we came up with the same outfit!).
And I love my legwarmers. You can pry them from my cold, dead hand.

Sorry about the siggy, lol.
And whats up with the clear platform shoes? Its like part of the 'stripper uniform' but really, are they necessary? I bought a pair and I can barely dance in them. I'm such an old school dancer I guess. I have the NYC "gown club rules" beaten into my head. Long dresses, clothes toe, no platform shoes. I tried this look in Vegas recently and, believe it or not, so many girls were looking at me. Some were like what is she wearing and some were like wow, you look great! Even better, I stood out as classy, which probably is why I got the white collar guys that buy hours and not dances. Now I know why NYC has these rules. If you dress cheap, you may attract cheap. I love the bustier look, but I dont think its practical for our business. And the leg warmers, doesn't make sense to me unless you're trying to be artistic or something like that. But hey, whatever works for us right?
I know you posted ages ago, but it's so funny about your dresses and shoes, becasue I went through the same thing. I danced in three in heels w/ no platforms (unless they were boots) and I love "pretty mini dresses" over matching lingerie.
When I moved to LA, the girls gawked at my shoes and while wearing a pretty dresss, I had both dancers and custies aske if I was leaving or if I even worked there,LOL!!!
I do sport platforms now, but never clear, yuk IMO. I still wear "pretty dresses" from time to time. Some people still ask me if I'm leaving::) , but most really like them.

Rhinestones, scrunchy-butt shorts, legwarmers, clear heels (guilty! They match everything!), and triangle bikinis reign supreme here. Its actually unusual to see anyone in a one piece outfit anymore, its all about two-pieces. The scarf made a brief appearence a year ago or so, but it didn't last. I miss the robes, they looked so girly compared to what dancers are wearing these days. I still just wear lingerie, fetishwear and costumes. I'm not really very trendy.
Ooh, know what I DON'T miss? High V-shaped thongs From the 90's! lol ew! I pray that never comes back in style. We petite girls with short torsos look ridiculus in them. "Look! The sides of my panties are touching my ribs! Whee!"
