that is totally creepy. Hope you find a new place!
My dad has rental property and he will go into a tenant's apartment if there is a reason and IF he calls first and IF he knocks first and nobody answers. However, even though my dad is a dirty old man, he would NEVER stand there and stare at a naked tenant sleeping. Any person with any sense would run out of there and be embarassed. He sounds scary.

Make sure NOT to leave a forwarding address...just come pick your mail up personally. ALthough I'm sure you already thought of that

Holy shit. That would piss me the fuck off. >:( He had to let you know he had to come to your apt. What a nasty motherfucker.
This reminded of my creepy ass mid aged landlord. That bastard was flirting with me when I was 15 or 17 yr. old kid, asking me to go camping with him. Sicko.

OMG!! That IS creepy!!! I'm really excited about my new place. My current place is a townhouse and even though it's nice, my new place is a house so my 6y/o has a yard to play in and stuff.
I'm a wreck, been staying at a motel, but I'm trying to be positive. Needless to say I see my therapist next week and this will be topic number1!
Oh, I didn't see the rest of the thread. But that's great that you got out. Ew man, I hope something gets back at him.
Good luck with everything. :)

Congratulations on the new place! When do you get to move in? I hope you don't have to stay in a damn motel much longer. As for the creep, I hope he gets his!

Yeah...why don't you just stand there while I'm naked so I can call the cops on you?
What the fuck difference does it make? He invaded your privacy!!! How would you keeping him there make your claim any more true?
Have you spoken to a higher up? Maybe call a lawyer and pose the question to them? I really think you need to get this on record...that way if it ever happens again (even to someone else) its on record.
I just can't believe that you can't file a COMPLAINT against him...not charges...a complaint...they can't refuse that!!!

Then you need to speak with an attorney. You can contact your local Public Defender's office and tell them the situation. They can give you more ways to deal with this.
Its bad that the cops won't take a complaint. A complaint is NOT a guarantee of a prosecution...it is simply a complaint. Like one you would file on your neighbor if they are being too loud. It just makes a paper trail...that's all. Makes me wonder why they won't let you file a complaint.
On the same token...even if this landlord had an appointment to TALK to you about your A/C...if he knocked on your door and you didn't answer...he had no right to walk into your place. They can only enter if there is an extigent circumstance (emergency) and being that this wasn't the case, he was clearly in the wrong.
Maybe contact your local news reporter and tell them about your landlord letting himself in...and the police refusing to allow you to file a complaint against him...
