My cats are both obessesed with the bathroom as well...if I go in and close the door to use the facilities, they will howl and claw at the door until I just let them in...then they plop right down in front of me while I go. Also if I am taking a bath I have to let the door open because one of my cats, Spike, is crazy about watching me bath. He sits on the ledge, with his paws touching my leg, and purrs...but I always just thought he was codependent because I hand raised him from 2 days old. My other cat, Remy loves to watch "Meerkat Manor" on the animal planet, that show and only that show he will sit there and watch while all these little meerkats go running around. Spike loves to drink sweet tea, which is also kinda wierd. I have also found that Spike is a little attention whore when it comes to the telephone. As soon as my phone rings he sits up, if I answer it he is IN my face so quick and wont leave me alone for the entire duration of the phone call...hes a spoiled princess...(And no I dont mean "prince", hes a little girly-man)

I guess ragdolls don't shed much, but it might also be because of the material of the couch.

i don't have pets in my current place, but i grew up with them.

my late dog niki (schipperke) LOVED the rain. whenever it would rain, and i live in vancouver so that's like 8 months of the year lol, she would go outside and get wet. then when she came back inside, someone would towel her off and she'd take off and go get wet again.. just so she could get towelled off repeatedly.

niki also liked to watch the food network. heh. and whenever we would eat dinner, she would come into the kitchen and sit between my dads feet until we were done. every meal at the table, she was there.

zoey, also a schipperke, was a rescue dog so she has some weird habits. she's scared of any small noise she's never heard before. she also wiggles her butt when she's excited since she has no tail. (and she has a cookie obsession!)

our lovebird, sam, will pick through his seeds and spit all the ones he doesn't like out of his cage. it's impossible to keep the area around his cage clean.

awwww.. i miss pets. i wish i was able to have some :)

My now fatty rat cat back in the day use to do backflips chasing after the feather on a stick toy. Now his thing is to sleep right next to me. Even if he's on the edge of the bed.( twin size) So I put a footstool by the bed so he can get up and down and a pillow by where he lays in case he should fall.
Binky my siamese mix likes shouler rides french fries and bush's baked beans. I rarely give him those anymore and peas. He also likes rubbing in anything smelly like shoes and work gloves(when I worked on horse farms).
Both of them are the best in my world, but they have a really crazy and annoying habit of pooping in the box and then scratching the box. Hence the poo still smells so more scratching at the box. Repeat.::)

My dog is kind of a dummy. He's basically like a typical custy. He's brainless and walks around with a woody all day...

My Scottie, Buggle eats anything but he loves my husband's socks! He has so many with holes in them now!
He also eats anyting paper, Buggle not my husband! He managed to open the drawer on my coffe table and dig out my boobie money stash, I came downstairs to find him on his dog bed chewing up $1000! I had to put them back together like a puzzle, luckily I ony lost a $50 bill. I had to go to the bank and say, "My dog ate my money" how embarassing.

a friend of mine has a dog named link that will bring you socks when you walk in the door. it doesn't matter who you are, he will bring you socks and it doens't matter how many times you go in and out that day, he will bring you socks.

my cat only drinks running tap water and anytime someone:
1. walks in the door
2. wakes up
3. he wakes up
4. my boyfriend calls
he HAS to suck on your shirt and cuddle. this also applies to pizza delivery. he also shreds cardboard. i have five shredded cardboard boxes in my living room right now. he also chews on plastic bags since his leukimia shots as a kitten

my mom's cat will open doors when she shuts him out if they have the handles rather than round knobs. he also scratches the opening of his litter box (as a warning) when he wants it changed and if she doesn't do it right away he will take a dump in her bathroom with her watching. he also sits in the bathtub and hollers when he wants someting. he also likes paper but tends to go towards legal documents and receipts.

my step mom's cat eats any type of melon and likes fruity cocktails. if you are having a drink she's going to help you. she will aslo eat the opposite end of your sandwich if you let her.

i also had a childhood cat that would groom your hair while you slept.

My brother's dog LOVES socks! One year for Christmas he bought her a whole box full of socks. Now my mom has taken various objects and put them down in the foot of the sock and knotted it so that makes it even more fun. This little dog will chew on ANYTHING. She's so far been caught chewing keys, screws, plastic bottles, remote controls, CD's, a wrapped up piece of chewing gum, underwear, who knows what else. You name it, she chews it. She has been to the vet soooo many times for stomach troubles it's not even funny. Guess it comes as no shock she's sort of chubby. She has about a thousand toys.

My dog on the other hand doesn't like toys at all but she'll chew on a tissue and shred it apart. I've found my toilet paper pulled from the roll strung all the way out of the bathroom with the end chewed off. She also does this little nibbling thing where she'll nibble at your clothing or the sheets on the bed but it isn't really chewing. It's just a gentle nibble that sort of makes a chew mark but never a hole. It's almost like she's sucking it or something.

My Pomeranian is crazy defensive of my shoes she will literally attack anyone who tries to go in my closet. Sometimes I have to coax her out of the closet with bits of cheese or chicken just so I can get dressed. Also she loves my shoes and always wants to sit on them or by them and she will attack anyone who goes near them. It's kind of funny but if she were a big dog, I'd be scared shitless. I just feel lucky that she doesn't chew.

We had a German Shepherd years ago when i lived at home who knew every vehicle sound. If a friend pulled up the dog barked. If another friend pulled up the dog barked, and if a neighbour pulled up in their driveway she would not bark...if our two different cars pulled up in the driveway she would go crazy wagging tail and jumping at the door. This was all by ear. She could not see the road or driveway from any window. That shit was cool!

Also i had 2 Oscars who knew their staple fish food cup! If you held a cup up to the tank, nothing, pepsi bottle nothing, but hold that damn food bottle up and they went crazy where i stood waiting to be fed. And, i did not feed at the same time everyday! Pretty cool too! At times when they wanted a treat they would jump up and slam the hood. Had to weigh it down...i still have their tank, 150 gallons!

And one other thing. I have a reticulated Python about 9 and a quarter long, she will yawn after being out of the cage, almost 5 minutes to the tee!!!

It's all cool shit that we pick up that our animals do. Retics. are known to stretch the lower jaw, so i just play it up to some friends and say she knows a trick...Ha ha.

My weenie dog is so cute, but he's weird. He will only eat his food when you tell him it's ok for him to do so. Otherwise he'll just sit there and look at it all day. He jumps in the bathtub in the master bedroom, but won't do it in any other bathroom. If my boyfriend and I are chilling on the couch, he has to be touching both of us, no matter how incomfortable it makes him.

My Cookie bird is called the 'satan bird' by his vet because he is so mean. They have to gas him to be able to handle him, but with me he is sweet. I love him, but there was a night he scared the hell out of me. Stupid story below:

Cookie lives downstairs in the family room. I normally leave the tv on for him to watch, but for some reason I turned it off. I told him good night, gave him a kiss, and went upstairs.

About 15 minutes later I heard a crash on the 2nd level of my house. I got scared and crept down my stairs to see what was going on. My bird had climbed a flight of stairs and was walking around my kitchen. I picked him up and took him back to his cage. 10 minutes later that little guy climbed two flights of stairs, pushed my bedroom door open and climbed the comforter onto my bed. He was mad because I turned off the tv downstairs. I turned it on and he did the happy dance and stayed on his cage.

I love my babies!

Every morning when I shower, Katya waits on the toilet for me. I get out and put one leg up on the toilet and she licks it to dry it. Then the other. I only let her take a few licks though, who knows what's on that nasty tongue.

Also, if I am making the bed, she goes nuts over the fitted sheets. She chases them into each corner and attacks, until I trap her underneath and finish making the bed above her. She wines, but she loves it, will just stay there eventually.

Oh, and she won't sit in your lap unless you have some sort of blanket-like thing covering you. No bare legs for the princess!

°one of my 2 shih tzus is neurotic. she has this thing about eating... when i feed her she wont come close to the bowl until i walk away, when she will go back and forth between her front two paws 4 times, and then she will eat.
°the same dog also walks in circles outside if it's raining, because she hates the rain. she will walk onto the cement (if i force her to) and then walk in circles and finally stop walk over to the grass, and put one paw onto the grass as if to "test the waters" and half the time she will go bakc to circling on the pavement until she tests again.

°if my male shih tzu tries to fight with my arm (he likes to play rough ;D) the female will start to bark him down, as loud as can be until he stops.

°my roommates have a boston terrier and when he gets to a park or big open field, he runs in HUGE circles as fast as a speeding bullet (ok not *that* fast)... we call them crop circles.

°when he's in the mood, the boston terrier will pace back and forth eyeing the cute lil butt of the female shih tzu until he literally pounces ontop of her and *bang bang bang* humps away... but he is fixed so we just laugh at the poor terrier (velcro) who gets this sad little look on his face like, but i wanna finish! this is humiliating! you are all laughing at me and staring! i wanna finish! so if someone says "Velcro is a Sad Sad Panda!" he stops and starts barking at you! apparently he is not a south park fan :D

oh god where to begin....i have an orange kitty (hes the crazy one) that insits on pulling the food out of the bowl to eat it off the floor & sleeps under the covers with me or directly on my head, often i've found hes taken over my pillow while i was sleeping. before we moved the couch he used to do what we called "spider kitty" he'd cling to the back and go back and forth chasing the dog's tail clining to the side, he is also the one who finds the escape routes out of the house and watches all th eother cats leaving but stays in the house. and once he picks a spot he dosnt move, i can drop laundry on him..make the bed with him under the sheets & fling pillows at him.... he wont move.

then there is my big black cat, he yowls for me all the time he can have a conversation with you follows me around and sits with me, he never leaves my side...very picky about who he likes..mainly women, if you are a woman at my house he loves you, man eehhh get away from the woman...he dosnt eat people food but he loves vanilla ice cream..and right now is drinking my soymilk. i have a funny habit too of petting & talking to him in my sleep when i'm stressed, so he always sleeps in the same spot.

and now for the girls...sigh..two sisters from a litter i rescued, the bigger one will jump into the shower with you. and after your shower she rolls around in the bath water and loves to drink from the faucet. also she is a very clean cat (dosnt like a dirty litter box) when she dosnt like it's condition she either pees in the TRASH CAN or the bathroom rug (alot of people claim her as a dirty cat for that and say i should get rid of her cause she wont stop it..but i figure its jus the little bathroom rug i dont mind that), oh also when shes cuddling on me for some reason she has to have a paw on my face and sticks her touge out at me. her sister whos much smaller dosnt leave the bedroom...i'm not sure why & she suckles on my blanket at night. LOL one night my hubby and I were fooling around & she was all sucking on the blanket cuase i was in the room..then she went for my nipple! OMG i freaked out, hubby was like...no thats mine!

dog is nuts..she behaves like a cat (mind you a 40lb shepard mix)...she lays on the couch arm rest, in the window sil and has no idea how to play with dog toys.

i used to have a spider that we called Rock...cause he'd sit there like a rock doing nothing. when we gave him crickets though he'd do what we called "the happy dance". catch one...and just kinda move his legs in circles around it to wrap it up but it looked so silly. and i once had a dog that swam in the air (would roll over on his back and kick his legs like he was swimming). oh and my hubby's old cat used to do what we called "run by clawings", he'd rush out from under the couch bat your foot with his paws and run back under the other couch. scared the crap out of me when he firrst did it to me and i kicked him across the living room.

sorry this is so long i'm sure theres more i dont remember at the moment...kinda dopped up on nyquil at the moment. :)

my parrot tries to hump my hand sometimes. its pretty creepy.

This and the thing Xiomara mentioned.. they're both caused by the desire to mate. My guess, I breath in, is that your parrot doesn't have a mirror? USUALLY they attach to who they love most, and USUALLY it's their reflection... but if it's your hand it's because he really... really... loves you.

My peanutbutter loving dog (Austrailian Shepard in my avatar) also likes to bark at cars as we pass them while she is sitting her dogseat in the car. She will bark only once unless we are even with the car on the interstate then will bark constantly until we pass them. She doesn't bark normally, but she likes telling off the cars as we pass them. :)

Had to add another one ::)

Mr Cat has a real thing for nail files.
It's like he has a supernatural knack for hearing a nail being filed - as soon as you start he'll run up and start to bite the file.
He LOVES it when you rub the file over his face, i'll file away all over his face with an emery board - he especially loves it on his teeth. (I do it gently of course).

Cat's are so entertaining ;D

I had a hunting dog that would masterbate all the time. And when we would feed him he would chase his balls for hours because he thought his balls were going to eat his food.

OMG.... I love all these stories! Friggin' great....

My Siamese, Abby, has a thing for slightly open drawers. If I leave my underwear drawer cracked, she will stick her paw in and take ALL of my underwear out of the drawer. Also, when I was preggo and close to my due date, I'd walk around the house in circles (just had to walk somewhere..) and she'd follow me around like a puppy. Then she'd sleep on my huge belly. She's slept in bed with us since she was 5 weeks old. She's also one of those cats that has to be in the bathroom with you at all times.
My tux, Athena, will do ANYTHING for my black hair ties. I find them hidden in random places. God forbid if you leave a door shut; she'll claw at the carpet. Grrrr...
My brother has a bearded dragon that will attempt to eat anything that is green. Green paper, clothing, thread, you name it, as long as it's green.

My 8 year old pug, Peanut, is obcessed with this statue of a gargoyle that is about 3 feet tall and made of stone in my house. He sits by it religiously every day for a good portion of the day. Ironically, I don't have a recent picture with him by "his silent friend".

My other dog which is a 1 year old yorkie, Squeaky, has serious obcession with my ferrets in their cage. I catch her periodically sitting by the cage watching them. She completely is gentle with them. She likes to play tag with them. When she catches them she barks, licks them, and runs away.. like "Tag, you're it!". I also have a real hard time keeping her out of their cage when I open the door. She just hops right inside like "Hi guys!" and plops down to cuddle. (yes, its a large cage- used to have 4 ferrets now have 2)
