If you're happy and your doctor doesn't think that your health is in danger, kudos. IMHO you're VERY thin... too thin. But my opinion is just that, and by far not what is important.

i think you look hot! you were hot in your old sig pic, and you're beautiful now as well. :) feeling comfortable in your own body is the most important thing--after all, you're the only one that has to live in it! congrats on your hard work and achieving your goal :)

CONGRATS on reaching your goal! Use this confidence and make sick loads of money! Don't listen to chicks and their jealousy! You are natural and beautiful and that is what makes you radiant.

I am just tired of girls complaining about thin and fit girls. What about all those heifers out there thinking that breast implants will help their bodies look better - Go on a diet already!

Yeah, cuz guys don't like big tits or curves anymore. That's why I make so much money and get sooooooo many guys drooling and complimenting me on my DDs and hourglass figure. I'm sure you'd call me a heifer too, with your bony ass and lack of figure. Get a grip chica ::) Do you have any idea how many guys say they are sick of seeing so many bony little girls with no figure and looking sickly???

I'm sticking up for Lizzy. Why did so many of you tell her she is too skinny, when she is clearly in perfect health and looking great? Why can everyone tell a girl she is too thin, but nobody can tell a girl she's too fat??

How many people die each year from anorexia? Go ahead... guess.
Now tell me how many people a year die of complications from being overweight? Diabetes? Heart disease? etc...??

The people who ganged up on Lizzy should be ashamed of themselves. They were clearly jealous. There could be no other reason.

One final question: If big is beautiful, how come I never saw a guy with a "no skinny chicks" sticker. I've only seen the "no fat chicks" ones. ;)

BTW: The reason why there is vanity sizing is because people who are fat need to believe they were thin!!!!!

Um, cause not everyone has the same tastes and opinions as you? Just a guess...

How many people die each year from anorexia? Go ahead... guess.

Lesse... 20% of people with ED die per year, and that doesn't count the high suicide rate... so 20% of 24 million.

The people who ganged up on Lizzy should be ashamed of themselves. They were clearly jealous. There could be no other reason.

I am so not jealous. I love my ass. I love my legs. I love not looking sickly. And so do my clients, customers, fanclub, and friends. Oops.

BTW: The reason why there is vanity sizing is because people who are fat need to believe they were thin!!!!!Oh please. No one ganged up on Lizzy ::) Some of us said she *might* be a little too thin, and expressed concern about her fixation on a particular number size. Being that fixated on obtaining a particular clothing size without regard to your height and healthy BMI could be a little unhealthy, and we were merely warning her to be careful not to overdo it. Out of CONCERN for her HEALTH. But there was no ganging up on her, and certainly no bashing. Until YOU and your little friends started with the "heifer" comments and such. Bashing girls who want/get BAs and such. Exactly WHERE does BA fit into this conversation anyway? Aside from the obvious fixation in your own mind.

Like I said. Get a grip.

I

How many people die each year from anorexia?

I've tried really hard not to jump in this thread but I can't help it anymore. Here are some stats on eating disordered behaviors. Keep in mind that the studies below do not include males nor middle aged women.

From Polivy, J & Herman, C.P. (2002) Causes of ED. Annual Review of Psych., 53, 187-213:
* precise estimates vary alot
* estimates are 3-10% for "at risk females" (those between 15-29)
* within that 3-10% there are about twice as many women with bulima as anorexia--prevalence of "partial eating disorders" in this population is at least twice that (i.e. 6-20%)

From Kurth, C.L., Krahn, D.D, Nairn, K., & Drewnowski, A. (1995)
*the severity of dieting and bingeing behaviors in college women: Interview validaiton of survey data. Journal of Psychiatric Research, 29, 211-225

This survey of 1400 college freshmen women:
* 2% had bulimia (enough symptoms for a full diagnosis)
*13% had subthreshold/partial eating disorders

Interesting facts about dieting:
*Only 9% were "non-dieters"
*26% were "casual dieters"
*23% were " moderate dieters"
*21% were "intense dieters"

(This is important in that dieting is almost always a precursor to development of a full-blown eating disorder.

P.S. Just so you know I have been trained to counsel and educate elementary-adults about eating disorders and body image issues. Ok thanks ;)

I personally prefer myself to be on the thin size, but due to my height, it's easy to do. I can gain 30 pounds and look the same. I just prefer for myself to be thin, but not anorexic. Some people are naturally thin like me, and can eat whatever and stay that way and some starve themselves. The latter is unhealthy and something I don't agree with. I'm attracted to thin and curvy girls, as long as it's natural and healthy. Nothing is more unattractive than a girl who can't eat.

Bridgette
01-09-2007, 12:42 AM
^^Right. There's nothing wrong with thin and we're not saying there is. But not eating, getting repeated lipo, throwing up, abusing laxatives, etc, is NOT healthy and encouraging that behaviour is wrong. We should be encouraging each other to be our HEALTHY best, not encouraging harmful or unhealthy behaviour for the sake of reaching some ridiculously narrow notion of "ideal".

To get back to the OP, as long as you're staying healthy and happy, more power to you girl.

Whoa Kayla, she may look great, but these women are voicing genuine concern. I was way too skinny naturally growing up and people voiced concern, even when that's just the way I was. I was TINY. Lizzy is even smaller than I was, now that's scary.

You're a bitch. If you honestly think there are a bunch of "heifer" dancers on here you are mistaken. You can be curvy and be very fit and not at all. I'm one of those people and I don't think anyone would dare call me a heifer.

I think you look great sweetie. I wouldn't lose any more, because you are on the thin side, but as long as you are healthy I would enjoy it. Just make sure your face doesn't thin out or ribs don't protrude from the back. I used to have to watch for these things during the summer when I always lose weight. In my experience most guys liked me fine when I was thin as long as I watched the face and ribs (& my family didn't harp on me to gain weight).

http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/obesity/

The latest data from the National Center for Health Statistics show that 30 percent of U.S. adults 20 years of age and older—over 60 million people—are obese.
This increase is not limited to adults. The percentage of young people who are overweight has more than tripled since 1980. Among children and teens aged 6–19 years, 16 percent (over 9 million young people) are considered overweight.

These increasing rates raise concern because of their implications for Americans’ health. Being overweight or obese increases the risk of many diseases and health conditions, including the following:

* Hypertension
* Dyslipidemia (for example, high total cholesterol or high levels of triglycerides)
* Type 2 diabetes
* Coronary heart disease
* Stroke
* Gallbladder disease
* Osteoarthritis
* Sleep apnea and respiratory problems
* Some cancers (endometrial, breast, and colon)

On the flip side of this:
http://www.state.sc.us/dmh/anorexia/statistics.htm

It is estimated that 8 million Americans have an eating disorder – seven million women and one million men.

As per my comment on Plastic Surgery:
My comment on BAs is the fact everyone cheer on the girls who want to morph their bodies and not love themselves naturally. It seems that more people yell at the girl who is thin than one that puts herself through vanity surgery. What about complications and unnecessary surgery?

I see many girls gaining weight and then hearing them complaining about it. Instead of dieting and exercising, they get BAs to offset their bigger bums.

http://www.emedicine.com/plastic/topic110.htm

Death attributable to anesthesia is said to occur at rates of less than 1:10,000, but these are average figures incorporating both elective and emergency patients with all types of physical conditions.

However I am just a skinny bitch…. THE MOB HAS SPOKEN.

Afterall the words said in this thread: If you are healthy at your weight and height then great no matter your size (curvy or thin) enjoy yourself and your health. If you are concerned in any way I suggest you go to the doctor or gym and ask for a bone density and body fat ratio to muscle test. That way you know that you not only look good and are healthy on the outside that the inside is the same way. There are many people who look thin and look great but the inside doesnt match healthwise. Keep taking care of yourself.

Mob? 1 person doesn't = mob. Unless you hear voices? Maybe?

But I digress.

To compare anesthesia in general to BA's is silly. Anesthesia is NOT used solely for BAs. And where in the world is an underweight person NATURAL AND HEALTHY?

AGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh omg after reading this I wanted to go shove a burger down my throat just to not feel guilty for losing weight!!! I did it in a healthy way and am maintaining it as well..Ive said it now like 5 times but I'll say it again.. woman in my family are tiny.. so therefore once I put a little effort into it I lost weight...

I eat ALOT.... at least 2 full size meals plus snacking while at working... I drink the required amount of water every day for my size and I take vitamins... I feel great.. I have lots of energy and now I'm starting to build more muscle tone from working out with the pole....

I don't have an obsession with my weight.. if anything this is the FIRST TIME EVER that I'm fine with my body

The point is like everyone is saying EVERYONE has their own preference... it seriously hurt my feelings though with the "WAYYYYYY too skinny" posts... it makes me feel bad to be happy... but to each their own and I'm happy and I don't feel I look like a ten year old boy as the picture posted stated.. also I don't feel too skinny and I DO NOT feel UNhealthy...

once again I feel energetic, proud, in shape and HAPPY!!! :o)

Yanno what? It isn't just our opinion as to how you look. It's also what doctors say. A lot of the comments made that you do not agree with are out of worry for your health. I come from a family of tiny women too. We try to GAIN weight. There's the difference.

Like I said in my first comment to you... if your doctor doesn't think you're underweight for your height (and I doubt they'd say that) then kudos to you. No one is hating on you. We're just calling it like it is. Did you expect every post on this forum to meet with only positive opinion and fact?

Lizzy B- please don't take this the wrong way... You are gorgeous, but really, especially in the photobucket pics, you look AWFULLy thin- esp. the backward pic... plus, at this weight and your height, your BMI is 18... almost underweight. I'm glad you are satisfied with your body, but make sure this is "it," that you have achieved your goal and now you can work on either maintaining this as a healthy weight, or let your body find its own equilibrium when it's being worked out and fed well. You really cannot afford to lose another pound, though- because then your BMI will be 17, and that is too low- and starts to be associated with health risks. Just be good to your body, and remember- size is nothing, it's pretty arbitrary these days anyway.

I agree with you. I dont see the big deal on being a "zero" in size. IMO, she looks much better in the pic in her siggy. Her legs and abs in that pic are HOT!

Eeck! That is scary! It used to be that size 6 was the desired number....*sigh* What is an amazon woman like myself supposed to do these days? I can't keep up!:O

I don't see the obsession amongst women with what size they wear?
If I look good in a size 10, I look good in a size 10.

But, I will NEVER be a zero. Unless I want to look like the walking dead. Some people can pull it off, and some people can't (Damn me an my big bones!)
But then again I can weigh 165 and look like I weigh 135 so yay for that extra 30lb leeway.
