Look at this way- at least you don't fall into a "sugar coma" after you eat a big kit kat (which by the way, I love these and I dip them in peanutbutter.. so I'm extremely jealous that there are peanutbutter kit kats in the UK and not here) However, I am hypoglycemic.. I can not tolerate sugar in large amounts, so I have to eat bite sized candies when I want a fix, otherwise I fall asleep and I feel yucky for hours. I have to balance my sugar out with protein.. but who wants chocolate with tuna fish? Bleeech!
We need to give ourselves a treat.. Don't feel bad.

awww, sorry hunny. I usually buy candy in the bags, where they come in inividually wrapped portions. I'm afraid I'll be diabetic someday, it runs in my father's family :(

Argh, Sophie also constantly posts "I'm a skinny bitch"..."I was born naturally flexible", "I have amazing abs" in response to girls asking for help. We get it Sophie, you think you're hot, thanks to an ED and lipo. If that's your choice, okay, but don't advise it to other girls.
To the OP, I certainly know the feeling. Every now and again, my healthy eating is KILLED and I eat something gross (but oh so satisfying...mmm Snickers). And my stomach hates me for it. All you can do is drink some water, and get back to your usual habits.

Anyone else notice that Sophie chronically hijacks threads with her bulemia and lipo comments? Personally, I'm sick of it. Nothing we say to her means anything. We've urged her to get help. Like I said in a thread a few days ago - she is attention hungry.
Lola - Don't feel bad. You'll burn that off in an hour of cardio You gotta cheat now and then!
well said.
and how can you say you have a sensitive system and certain foods upset you when you take laxitives. laxitives upset your system! It's a shit pill for god's sake.

Sorry in advance for hijacking your thread Lola but.....I've had enough. I'm climbing onto my trusty soapbox, previously reserved only for Kikin.
Sophie, you've got serious fucking problems lady. I've had enough and so has every other person that posts here. Get the hint: your body image issues are your own. Purging out "healthy" food and getting lipo constantly is NOT NORMAL. We don't care. Read: QUIT POSTING ABOUT YOUR COMPULSIVE LIPO. THE REST OF US LIKE TO EAT HEALTHY AND EXERCISE. So shut the fuck up PLEASE.
That being said, you're right. We don't know you personally but we know enough to make an accurate assessment. In fact, I don't believe half of what you say. I don't think anyone else does either. Come back down to earth little girl...and when you get here, seek help. You need it. Plastic surgery may suck the fat out but I think it has taken a few of your brain cells with it.

Scarlett-
I don't know about bounty, but I always wanted to try an Aero Bar. The commercials always made me want one. I just moved from one border back to the other,Mexican candy is not as exciting.

Sophie, I know that a lot of the things being said are being done in a rude manner, but that doesn't remove the truth from it.
You have some issues with needing attention, it's likely compulsive, and very petty/childish.
You don't realize (and you're not the only one) that you need to think before you speak, or type. Telling someone (me) that they have an eating disorder is completly presumptuous and out of line. I have never said or done anything to give people cause to think that, in real life or on this site.
You make countless posts about you and your issues, when in reality there is no need in most threads to do so.
When people post about lipo, feel free to give advise, and when people post about eating disorders as well.
But please stop making unrelated posts turn into a bitchfest by bring up topics that are UNRELATED by making people defensive and attacked.
I can't speak for everyone, but I don't necessarily want you to leave, I'd just like you to take care of yourself and modify your behaviors. We don't want to fight, we just want this to be a fun and helpful board for all involved. We all need to pitch in to do that, by being decent and keeping things on topic.

Bounties are kinda mushy for my taste, but I lurve me some wunderbars. Some American guy, when the candy machine accidentally gave me two, I shoved one at him. "Eat this so I don't have two anywhere near me". He didn't know what it was! And I pitied his Cadbury-free existence. But I got way more money off him afterward. All the magic of chocolate. Magical, magical chocolate.

Hey, I've given custys food before too, if I need to take a food break (I HAVE to eat sometimes) I'll tell them, I have homemade w/ev, and I'm starving, I'm gonna go grab a bite, I'll brink you some too! They love it, and I've always made more from them :)
Tampadancer- thanks, I really thought about how best to put it, hopefully it'll be well recieved and taken to heart.

My silence can no longer be contained.. (Lola, my apologies)..
I am in my mid 30's.. I have lived through an eating disorder which started at 13 and ended with me having to change my life dramatically at 19.... I am a mother to two children, I run, and when I danced I also ran and I also ate healthy (no purging thankyouverymuch) and no surgeries to suck any fat out of my body. I am 5 '6 and 122 pounds and burn around 2500 calories per day and I consume around 4 when I am running. When I danced, this was around the same. If I did not eat, I had no energy to work, therefore, I would feel light headed and pass out. But, to each their own.. but...
I do know this to be fact:
Active women (active being defined as light active, walking.. dancing, running, etc.. is NOT light activity as we all know) need 1,600 to 2,200 calories daily, whereas active men need about 2,800 calories a day. Women should have six to nine servings from the bread group, three to four servings from the vegetable group, and two to three servings from the fruit group daily. Active men can eat around 11 servings from the bread group, five from the vegetable group, and four from the fruit group. Both men and women should have up to three daily servings from the milk group -- another source of carbohydrates.
If you want to know the number of grams of carbohydrates you should eat daily, look to the nutrition facts panel on the food label. The math is already calculated for you! According to the label, when consuming 2,000 calories daily, your carbohydrates should come in at 300 grams. If your daily intake is more like 2,500 calories, then shoot for 375 grams. Both will put your carbohydrate intake at 60 percent of your calories.
So, Gynger's two cents is, is that if you are eating a mere 10 grams of Carbs daily.. you have no energy to do anything except perhaps a round of lipo... You have issues sweetheart...

no need to apologize. This totally needed to be said. We're all genuinely concerned. I just don't know the facts/realities of what everyone needs nutritionally and about eating disorders to be the person to say what you did. I agree, and being someone who has to be espically careful to eat well (how difficult that can be was the origional point of this thread!) I realize how much a well balanced diet has positively affected me, and I wish that upon everyone!
Gynger, you are a great example of the recovery from an eating disorder! You rock :)

Lola- my ED was bulimia.. combined with boughts of anorexia. Thankfully, I had friends and a teacher who helped me... there are many women who battle constantly and well into their adult years.. some even into their 50's.. it is like being an alcoholic or an addict- you recover, but you are always running the risk of "falling off the wagon"... I'm thankful that I have been able to keep mine from returning, I have went to a positive way of thinking about food. IT was a long time ago..
Mind you, I have no issues with plastic surgery... none whatsoever.. in fact, I plan to use it when I need it.. when I'm 59 and a half! ;) My sister works for a plastic surgeon, but, I do not need it, but I do realize that there are those who do, but with anything else, you can become addicted.
Now.. where the hell is my sugar free chocolate???

Bounty bars are the shit!
So are Wunderbars. Mmmm. <-- such an underrated chocolate bar.
According to this book I read, what you crave depends on your mood. If you crave:
meats, hard or crunchy foods, you feel angry.
Sugars - depressed.
Soft and sweet foods like ice cream - Anxious.
Salty - stressed.
"bulky foods" like pasta, crackers (according to him, though I dont find crackers filling) - lonely, sexually frustrated.
Anything and everything - jealous.
I can't say how accurate it is but it's amusing none the less.
Gynger - you are one very strong woman for beating bulimia. Kudos to you.

How did I miss this thread .... I LOVE kitkats. Japan has some of the best kit kats EVER and I would eat them all day long if I could (without gaining weight!).
I've had honeydew melon kit kats (oddly better than they sound!), pumpkin kitkats, blueberry, strawberry, red wine, green tea, white milk, red delicious apple, passion fruit, inside out kits kats......yum!!! That's just to name a few!! Every season, they get new flavors. Thankfully, they're expensive to buy in the US, so I only buy one snack-size package of each seasonal flavor and that's it.
