*crosses fingers* no one bet St.James......
The raid at Treasures appears to have been conducted by HPD Vice - the St. James is located just beyond the bounds of HPD's jurisdiction.

...it should be noted that the "dancer scamming story" was all allegations and nothing was reported as proven fact. If the cops are going to believe the dancer scammed him without evidence then they should charge him for soliciting for full sex without evidence. I think the dancer should call up vice and say he did'nt have the $700 so he paid her with that stuff and some weed too.
Really. I'm wondering where the guy's criminal charges are. Considering he was paying for sex, and HE was the one who admitted to asking for that.

The internet sites and forums like SCL, TUSCL, ASPD, WSG, etc. do make the job of vice cops easier to a point. The sites bring a lot of information together in a nice readily accessible form. But if the vice squad has to depend on the internet to get tips about what is happening in their city than they should all be fired. The sites are giving the police but they are probably also getting information from other sources too.
100% right. If we can name 5 clubs on the top of our head that should be raided can you imagine what information the cops have on these clubs. Give these guys some credit. They are stuck in the middle. They have to carry out the marching orders of the city. Once a club gets to aggressive they get wacked on the hand and unfortunately the girls get caught in the middle. This is just a balancing act. I'm sure most of the girls have headed to Dallas. Does anyone want to bet me that Treasures will be back to its old ways. It is not going to turn into the Men's Club.

I think posting those mugshots was totally uncool on the part of Smoking Gun. Celebrity mugshots and other stories that get national press are one thing, but exposing local stories like this is totally uncalled for.
I know its tough but girls if you ever find yourself in that situation just hold your head up high and give the best smile of your life. DeLay did that and no one could use his mug shot for anything bad.

Cops Return To Strip Club For Seconds
Four more dancers busted in Houston police crackdown:
JANUARY 31--Two weeks after a police raid at an upscale Houston strip joint netted 11 dancers, cops last night returned to the gentlemen's joint and busted four more women for violating city statues governing sexually-oriented businesses. The second police operation at Treasures this month also resulted in the arrest of a male club employee. The newest female arrestees were booked into the Harris County jail, where sheriff's employees snapped the mug shots on the following pages

...the majority of the 11+4 girls are back at work including both managers. Of the second 4, i only heard of breaking the 3 foot rule, touching a clothed customer while topless and having no licenses. However, there are many rumors(?) about vice having a list of girls they are looking for. HPD Vice, recently busted a couple of "nude modeling" studio's claiming prostitution was happening. HPD Vice/City recently cracked down on rent-by-the-hour motels in a seedy part of town. All this due to the Mayors desires to show reduced crime.
However, soon vice may not have any overtime pay to fund their thrills.
"Knowing that the city's crime rate declined 5 percent last year, Mayor Bill White asked the department to "phase down" grant-funded overtime spending to avoid an abrupt halt in officer presence in certain high-crime areas when the money runs out."

Eeee....I understand prostitutioins illegal, and it's good that they want to do something....but erm....the news around here displays like 29 different people getting shot every day...girls not having liscenses in strip clubs, pooka not having her insurance card in her car....why are they so worried about things so far down on the priority list. Boo!

It is disgusting what they did to a fine club like Treasures. I have had some very enjoyable times there, some very intense excitement in the dark lap dance area.
If prostitution was made legal throughout the country, crime would go down in my opinion; so would the price of sex. And then the harrassment of customers just trying to get some.....makes me mad as heck.

As far as the guy getting ripped off he shoulda used a motel. There are many of them here in Houston where you can rent a room for $20 for 2hr.
It pisses me off they had to raid Treasures, these fine ladies do not deserve this kinda harrassment.

If any club is going to get raided soon it would be Centerfolds!
It's the same owners as Treasures, and if anything, more extras are offered than at Treasures.
And the same owners had another big club in Houston (Cover Girls), that burned down recently!

Chastity - ever work at Ricks South in 2004? Had a super time with a blonde Chastity there and went back looking for her for a long time - she was really fine and gave good dances. She was the best! The other girls there were not competetion for her and I think they knew it.
The Chastity I am talking about was blonde.
I know most of you dont agree .. but, if you are a clean dancer, you should really re-consider working at a club that is so obviously offering extras. I realize extras are going on in all clubs, but most clubs try to hide it. It isnt like it is going on out in the open and nobody cares.
I wont work in a club if when I go to check it out I see extras going on. I also stay away from places that have a bad reputation for things like that, just because they are more prone to getting busted, and the last thing I want on my squeeky clean record is a sex crime!!! I dont evenhave a speeding ticket!! I know for some girls it is hard, because that is business as usuall in some citys, I would move. Houston is abviously known for dirty, go to a nice club in Dallas like the Lodge. I am sorry, but no amount of money is worth a life time of being branded as a sex violater. NO AMOUNT

I heard that name when I worked there. Sometime between May 05 and Dec 05. Honestly I don't see how these busts are doing any good. I think vice is just making it seem like they're doing their jobs(which if they were, there wouldn't be any spas or modeling studios down here in hooker heaven). I just hope they don't come to my club(the treasures girls that is). We already got a boatload of the Cover Girls.
