Quick question: How many of you recognize the majority of what everyone else is listening to? Everytime I come on this thread I have never even heard 98% of the music/musicians mentioned. Is that the norm or am I living under a rock?

I think that's the great thing about Music Mix. Not only can I find suggestions from those who have similar tastes, it's exposed me to music I wouldn't have otherwise discovered on my own.

I have the same issue, but I figure that I'm not as open-minded about non-mainstream music as I thought. Oh well.

Hahah I just got "Heavy Metal Parking Lot (http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Heavy_Metal_Parking_Lot/70055742)" from netflix, I hope it's funny.
Omg! I haven't seen that since HS. Same era when I was in love with Repo Man and Suburbia.
Right now I'm obsessed with Elton John and Joe Cocker. I'd love to find a club that would let me play them. Anywhere I've worked in LA seems to be strictly rap and hip hop.

I'm on a bit torrent spree, grabbing stuff I used to have, don't have, or only have on vinyl. I'm currently on The Damned's "Phantasmagoria", and I had forgotten how delightfully cheesy it is.

The newest is FABULICIOUS!! I think it came out a long-ish time ago, but I was too poor to buy it until recently.
I am also into the NIN Ghosts CD for driving. I only downloaded the first one, and will definitely NOT be shelling out $300 for all of it. WTF?
Also been listening to and . Oldies but goodies.

Power of suggestion. Now I'M gonna be on a Siouxsie kick! I think I'll start with The Scream though. I love the howly, raw, earliest stuff. Mmm, "Carcass".
Coincidentally, I think I recommended her "Helter Skelter" from The Scream to the lovely Alexxa for a set many, many moons ago . . . am I remembering that right? Hmm.
Good to hear about that Rasputina album, Alexxa!
