^Jackalope!! Nice.

Still on the Siouxsie thang. It's Creatures "Fury Eyes" off the "Boomerang" album at the moment. I am purposely grabbing "Drop Dead/Celebration" next. That song is the jam-jam-jammity-jam.

Heh. I'm taking my son to see Iron Maiden. I was his age the first time I saw them. Ah, youth.

Just curious, what age is that when the men in your family first go see Iron Maiden? Is it 13, like a bar mitzvah?

You guys! I got sidetracked on YouTube thanks to Alexxa and found LOU REED HOSTING 120 MINUTES. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt0_61iG2i4) I saw him in a club in Austin during SXSW a couple of weeks ago and he looks a lot more grandfatherly now but you bet I was texting "OMG Lou Reed!." Can you believe there was once a time when Lou Reed would guest host on MTV?

LOL! For the practicing purists, 13 is indeed the age of the hallowed ritual;)

Oh yeah, in remembrance of the opening band of my first live I.M. experience... The Price - Twisted Sister (sans 40,000 lighters in the air unfortunately)

My first real concert was when I was 13 (warning; about to date myself). It was the B-52s and Toad the Wet Sprocket opened. Within a year it was Sonic Youth and the Laughing Hyenas. Mr. C's kids are so lucky, getting born into cool record collections.

B-52's = Good Times, I was lucky enough to catch some good shows in Athens, Ga. Mr. C's lil' one is definitely a lucky tyke...Le sigh...I need to make one of those when I get off the disabled list. While not exactly Toad the Wet Sprocket....I'll play ya an oldie...how about "Pure" - Lightning Seeds. Ahhh the cheesy goodness!!

(Warning; More cheese ahead....I would date meself if I was you too::) !!)

The only time I saw IM they had Blaze Bailey (who looks like a weird cross between Meat Loaf and Henry Rollins - mostly Loaf) instead of Dickenson. It was kind of a joke.

ANd the dude playing guitar to the left of Bob is T-bone Burnett who had some popularity in the 80's and is now a big producer.

Every time I hear that song I think of when the White Socks won the World Series three years ago. They played that song over and over and the city went nuts. Even the Cubs fans who converted. At least that year anyways... :)
