For some reason I decided to put on Sandstorm by Darude even though I find it an insipid and formulaic song which is what I'm listening to now...I sense there will be some Daft Punk in my very near future...unless my limewire starts going super-speed in which case the musical forecast calls for some Prodigy.

Mmm...Atreyu, me likey.
I think if I hear fucking Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap one more time I am seriously gonna puke...but I know myself, only when I never in a billion years want to hear the song again can I write choreo worth shit. So it has been on repeat literally since about 9:15 this evening.
Now that it's 2 in the morning, my roomate is fast asleep and I can comandeer my livng room, I think I'm gonna go tie up my shoes and get to writin'!

Swans- "Failure". Yeah, this is a bad mood song.
I'm gonna go try to sleep and put on the new Portishead, which so far I'm not really diggin'.
AmArticia

Does the new Portishead sound anything like older Portishead, cause I hate their old shit, but I'm compelled to give them another shot since it's been so long between albums.

Eh, yes and no. I wasn't big on the first album so much, the second was genius. This one I haven't listened to enough to decide WHAT the hell I think it is yet.

I am generally against all forms of 90's music (the single exception...make that two...of AFI and Garbage) and Portishead sounds distinctly 90's to me. You should have heard me pissing and moaning about Fiona Apple earlier, I was in full on 90's killing mode. Both Portishead albums sucked in my eyes.
But the 90's ended (thank you Jesus!) so I thought mebbe give them a shot.[/offtopic]
Yay, I killed Imogen Heap with Blaqk Audio, taking special care to remove Stiff Kittens temporarily from the playlist. It has randomised to Where Would You Like Them Left...which I am deeply suprised dosn't get played at the club more often. *cough*MASSIVEHINT*cough* With a chorus of "strip for me as I have stripped for you/we've got nothing to hide and even less to lose" you'd think it would be on every five seconds! *cough*CONTINUEDMASSIVEHINT*cough*

Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables.
Advice: Don't ever debate Jello Biafra...he will scare your pants off even if you're right. Been there, done that, had to do a little verbal dick sucking afterwards to make sure he wouldn't hunt me down and kill me in my sleep. Not fun.
Mmmm, I'm listening to Razor Face by Elton John and as usual it's the most beautiful double-edged sword on earth. This whole album is like a thick, comfy blanket for my heart but it just makes me want to cry. It's that happy-sad cry thing where you're totally torn which way to go but either direction involves tears.

Big Black. Albini may be a giant bag of douche, but damn this band is the jam. Angry screamy noisy skraaaang geetar and ARRRGH and oh yes. I was cranking "Cables" in the car on the ride home, and yelling along. Good times.

Aphex Twin FTW! Richard James is like...*sings halleluja chorus*
"So lets cut clean to the sex scene/ Drop the white lines cuz no one is clean/ and this beat won't wait for you. Safe to say that you won't recall/ so let's just pretend nothing happened at all. Oh my love, where's the danger/ All my life, I'm dancing with strangers. Did he want you/ did you want to/ did you question what they'd think of you/ with the beat between your breaths. So lets cut fast to the car crash/ where the future went down with the past/ cuz this beat won't wait for you. Safe to say that I can't recall/ so let's just admit nothing matters at all."
~On A Friday by Blaqk Audio
One of the better songs off their album, and it's sort of becoming a theme song for me, though I hope someone has the brains to smack me if I get into coke.

I was enjoying some Marvin Gaye, but now all the kids are home from school and listening to music is well-nigh impossible. Currently I'm groovin' to the heavenly refrain of the "Quit it, stop touching me, get out of my room" chorus.
