Tom Waits (big shock, I know)-Orphans-right now, disc 1, Brawlers
-I'm still not sure which disc I like best out of this set. I worship at the altar of Tom. Very few artists sound like no one else and do completely their own thing, all the time. He's constantly challenging and consistently amazing. I'll leave it at that.
PS: VISTA SUCKS.

I own that movie, but thank you.;D
I was groovin' to "The Center Bullet" by Tear Garden on the way home.
I bought my 9 year old daughter the B-52's greatest hits today. She asked for it. Hilarious.

I've been really grooving to this new (to the US, anyway) band called Pilot Speed. They have a mid-80s U2 vibe (think Unforgettable Fire era) crossed with Ryan Adams. The best part is, since their debut US release is a combination of two indie albums, there's not really any filler at all.

They're a Canadian band, they used to be called Pilate. They've been around for a while, and their stuff is really good. They give me a sort of Radiohead feel, only less weird. Their song "Barely Listening" is one of my favorites.
Oh, and on that note, that is what I'm currently listening to. Pilot Speed - Barely Listening.

-Psychedelic Furs. It was "President Gas", but now it's "Imitation Of Christ". I don't feel like checking the date, let's just say early 80's, but the lyrics make me laugh with their relevance. "It's sick, the price of medicine, President Gas is up for President"
I <3 Richard Butler. He's a drunken karaoke dream. Just stand there and wheeeeeze like you're dying, but hold a note. Okay I had to check, I thought it was "Talk Talk Talk", but it's on "Forever Now". Yup.

Tom Waits- "Ol' 55" No, not the Eagles remake.
Now I'm gonna go upstairs and crash and I am too lazy to sort through everything, so it's gonna be Dead Can Dance's "The Serpent's Egg" in the bedroom again.
That's not a bad thing.

I'll identify this one by a lyric.
"When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide, then I stop and I turn and I go for a ride, then I get and I see you again..."
Any guesses? (Not like it should really require a guess, in my opinion)
Fine, it's "Helter Skelter" by the Beatles.

I've become a hardcore GLC (Goldie Lookin Chain) fan. I can't get enough of their funky/lewd lyrics and killer beats, and ah how I love the accent. It's all I've listened to for months, but they have close to 100 songs.

The White Stripes - You Don't Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You're Told)
I'm loving their new album so far. I used to hate them when they were getting played every 5 minutes, but of those "garage-rock" sounding bands during that rock-revival period a few years back, the White Stripes are the only ones I like.
Lady Tron- International Dateline
Datarock- Beautiful girl
Miss Kitten - Rippin Kitten
Veils- Advice for young mothers
Ghostland Observatory- Stranger lover
Avenue D-orgasmatron
The Secret handshake- Summer of 98
Brazillian Girls-Don't stop
