Hint:
Think about the most prevalent computer manuacturer in 1969 (or thereabouts, whenever the movie was released).
Duh * smacks forehead* IBM, so they shifted the letters IBM one letter a piece to the left. Man I feel silly, lol.

Layka & PLM- I've been looking for this classic teaser. There are 3 witnesses. John ALWAYS tells the truth. Peter NEVER tells the truth but I can't remember what the 3rd witness was about nor what each said. Ring any bells ? Anybody know this one ?
I'm brain drained.
If I think of another good one, I'll start a new thread. 7 pages is a little silly.
In the mean time, if anyone else thinks of a new one, lets start this with a new thread.

Two buckets of water. The same object floats in one and sinks in the other. Why ?

O.K.- I'll start a new one.

I can remember the "lady and the tiger" one.
NO GOOGLING, this one's probably out there.
Two doors. A beautiful lady behind one, a hungry tiger behind the other. A guard at each door. One guard always tells the truth, the other always lies.
How do you figure out which door to pick?
Is that the one? So much for starting a new thread.
