I've only met one HG in my day, and that's Diorshow mascara, but I've given it up because they test on animals. Urban Decay is almost as good.

I'm scared of foundation now that I've been using Bare Minerals.
I received this today:
We received your recent e-mail and wish to thank you for your interest in our products.

In 1989, our laboratories made public their decision not to use animals in the testing of products to be put on the market. The double demand, consumer safety and respect of animal life, has encouraged our laboratories to carry on research projects with universities and to participate in the development and validation of alternative methods to animal testing.
Sincerely,

Manuela

I'm not sure what it means when they say "products to be put on the market" - like, why would they be testing products NOT intended for the market?

Interesting! I wonder why they don't publicize that. Even if it doesn't say on the packaging, they can still let people know. I just assume the worst if I can't find it. And yes, that wording is strange.

I guess this means I can get my HG mascara BACK!

^^^I think what that means is that they don't get out a tube of Dior show and rub it into their eyes, but that the raw ingredients or compounds of them are still tested on animals. Dunno--this scenario is very common, not sure if it's the case here. Very interesting wording, isn't it?

Which is (or used to? I haven't checked in a while) the case with Bath & Body Works stuff. Theirs used to say that the final product is not tested on animals.

Oh, holy fuck. I just used Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion for the first time tonight. Run, do not walk, and buy this stuff. It is seriously the single best product I have ever used. I love my black Milani eyeshadow because of it's true black color, but it's so cheap and doesn't last two hours before I have to wipe the smudges off and reapply. IT LASTED ALL NIGHT. And then, at the end of the night, it came right of with my regular eye makeup remover. This stuff is truly amazing.

i have a few HG's. =)

urban decay primer potion - honestly, this is a great base for eyeshadow... i haven't found anything else that works as well as this does.

clinique color surge eyeshadow - applies velvety and blends perfectly... i love it! My favorite color as of now is rum spice.

cover girl simply powder foundation - i used clinique before i got this as a last minute alternative... the same thing for a quarter of the price.

loreal lash architect mascara - i always come back to this one, it really does build your lashes

johnson and johnson's head to toe baby wash - a lingerie wash, a face wash, a shampoo, a bubble bath, and much more!

noxema face cream - the greatest cleanser i've tried YET.

if i think of any more, i will let you know. :D

I got a sample of the UDPP and it rocks! I used it with their Grifter eyeshadow and it didn't crease at all.

I have a Holy Grail Of Smell, if that at all counts? Demeter makes some amazing body sprays that I cant get enough of. Right now I'm wearing Wet Garden and it really does smell like a garden full of flowers and greenery, after a rain. It's so amazing. They have a fun list of scents, and they're all so great.

:D I'm glad you like! Have you tried any of the scents from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab (http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/), by any chance? They have such fun concoctions!

They have AWESOME stuff. I highly recommend. Get a batch or two of Imp's Ears and try a whole bunch of scents. I have so many scents on my good list from them.

Demeter has some good stuff too, but they seem to fade on me in 20 minutes. :'(

I'm totally in love with the Urban Decay Primer Potion! It was WAY better than I expected! I'm so hooked.

My favorite eyeshadow comes from the Urban Decay line, and it's a tie between Midnight Cowboy and Purple Haze.

My eyeliner holy grail came in the form of a little glass pot, containing Stila Smudge Pot, in Black. It's the only eyeliner I use!

And pressed powder is damn near a science, and it has come down to Physician's Formula's pressed mineral powder. They simply rock. It has prevented breakouts on my normally oily t-zone.

Paige...So can you explain what exactly earthworm smells like!!?! }:D

Anyhoo, to stay on topic, my HG is Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse foundation. I'm still looking for something to go over it to help it stay, because right now it's more a daily, out on the town makeup.

And I love Almay's Ideal Gloss in bronze shimmer (also a daytime lipgloss)

Still trying to find my HG for my more hard-core makeup. Maybe I'll try Mac.

Sorry for adding to an old thread but I thought it would be silly to start a new one just for my little rave...

I live in a REALLY dry climate and for the longest time my skin was so dry and itcy that it was driving me totally crazy. I went to a spa a while back and was introduced to Pure Fiji products. They have the best soap, body butters, lotions, scrubs, and body oils I have ever tried and they smell sooo pretty and tropical!

It is pretty cool because the products are all made in Fijian villages and the money helps their communities. Their products are based with virgin coconut oil and have really improved the way my skin looks...it was weird because several people notice my new "glow" haha! Alright I am starting to sound like a freaking advertisment so I will stop.

HG Lip Plumper - Sally Hansen's Lip Inflation Extreme. I've tried so many lip plumpers and this is the only thing I feel works.

HG Mascara - Also I love L'Oreal's mascaras, Voluminous and I just started using their Telescopic also. Love it!

Skin Primer - Smashbox Primer

Eyeshadow Primer - Urban Decay

Not my HG eyeshadow, but I found a really good and super cheap eyeshadow palette made from Elite Pro. I got it off ebay. The colors are super pigmented and very pretty.

I use Prescriptives Foundation and Powder and it works SUPER well, plus you can have it mixed to your skintone.
