^I think I did read that, but for me, I drink this all day long. And just brushing that many times would drive me crazy and I'm sure in the long run strip my enamel lol.

k so i went to trader joes just now and they only had 1 kind of ACV...

it is organic and unfiltered, BUT is does say it is pasteurized....

will this work, or should i just wait and and try to find unpasteurized?

i dont wanna waste my time on the pasteurized if it isnt going to do any good....

i went all through this thread but it looks like half of the posters are using pasteurized and half are using the kind with 'the mother'...

hmmmm....i saw that someone had mentioned they got theirs from trader joes too....sooooooooooo now i dunno....

it's good for you regardless. vinegar is so acidic that most bacteria won't grow in it anyway, so pasteurized isn't too different.

if you're really concerned about it, take some probiotics or acidophilus with it.

Yup. I'm starting with 1 tablespoon in about 8 oz of water. Going to double my dose in a week. :)

I'm brushing my teeth right after I drink it also, does anyone know if this will prevent the ACV from hurting my enamel?
I like to mix it in orange juice. Then the flavor is hardly noticable at all but lately I have been taking it in pill form and I am working on losing weight too. So far so good!

i would just rinse with water or mouthwash instead of brushing. brushing too often wears enamel down on its own, and drinking vinegar on top if it won't help.

for the tooth enamel problem...use a straw.

^Yeah, it's not so bad. I'm up to 2 -3 tablespoons in a 20oz water. I'm to the point where I'll pick that up over my gallon of juice I've had in the fridge for over 2 weeks.

Has any1 gotten sick from taking this stuff? I took 3 tsps in 24 oz of water throughout the day Sunday & the same thing on Monday & Tuesday, I got very ill! I was feeling nausea, sinus pain, body pain, hot head, you name it! I was reading the other posts & some1 said vinegar is so acidic that it kills bacteria so I think maybe it killed the good bacteria in me?

You could have been getting sick and it just happened after you started taking the ACV. It sounds like you got what's been going around. It's actually good for you. I got sick last week and actually did 1 1/2 tablespoons of it in a cup of water with lemon juice and honey. I think it kept me from getting too much fluid in my lungs.

Or maybe the ACV is helping you detox all the bad bacteria that was growing in your body. I'd look at it as a good thing...:)

So I have read this thread about a week ago. Since then everyday I drink it in cranberry juice twice a day. I use 1.5 cups of cranberry juice and 1 tablespoon of ACV.

Since then I haven't pigged out big time on my snacks like I used too and my sking is clearing up so perfectly.

Thank you ladies for sharing this!!

In combination with the 30 day shred I have been doing great.

Man guys I just started drinking it 2 days ago and wow my energy level has been amazing! I usually rely heavily on caffeine to get me through the day, but I made a pot of coffee today and then realized I didn't have any urge to drink it, which is normally unheard of with me. And I found a health food store right by my house that sells the Braggs acv. My cravings for snacking and overeating have gone way down as well. I can see this becoming my new favorite vice! Can't say I enjoy the taste, but i think i'll get used to it. After all, I used to not even like water but now it's all i drink!

I take a shot glasses worth 2 or 3 times a day. Is that the right amount i don't know what 3 tbs looks like.

^^Be careful taking it straight like that. You can erode your teeth enamal. Try using a straw next time. Or, you could just rinse your mouth out really well after you toss back the shots.

A more scientific take on the subject. I'm all for the anecdotal evidence thing, but it's good to have the other side in mind, too.

Buzz kill.

Lol. JK!! It is interesting to hear two sides of the story. But, if it seems to be working I suggest sticking to it! I know it gives me more energy and reduces my appetite. :D

^^ Totally a buzzkill! Oh well....science hasn't been able to explain everything yet. So I say go with it! I'm even giving it a try.

apple cider vinegar will help you to lose water weight only. it is good for a short-term fix. if i have something important to do, i will put a few tablespoons in a can of tuna and eat that for two days.
