I'd say it's a great name to use :) The dancer I like the best in Vegas uses the name Quinn. She's super cool, down to earth, trustworthy and hot as hell! I call her athletic barbie ;D

i'm going by Violet, my birth name, while i'm in school. its working out alright...when i have stripped in MI, i was Belle. i had this whole stage set worked out where I came out on stage in a crown and pageant sash that said "Ms. Southern Belle" it was def. a crowd pleaser, so when i move up there permanently, that will be my name up there.

I have always loved Violet.

I agree with Michelle /Luscious Sadie! On my first day I used a name that is not at all similar to my real name, and it was hard to remember to answer to it. The next day I switched to the name of the dog we had when I was little. Because the dog's name was similar to mine (Maggie, Megan), my mom always called me the dog's name by mistake, so my brain was already wired to answer it! The added benefit, as michelle points out, is that when I accidentally introduce myself as Megan at work, or more commonly, as Maggie outside of work, I can easily say that they misunderstood. In short, I think it is more important to have a name you can quickly get comfortable with than one that sounds exotic. However, if you still want sophisticated and Frenchy, I like Odette.

I go by Layla.

Maybe it's a little sad, but it's my daughters name. Both of my other girls names are already taken at any club I've tried, so I joke I named my girls stripper names.

I used to dance by Carrie. There was no reason for it, I can't remember what I had initially wanted but all the names I threw out were already taken until I came up with that one. It stuck for a year or so.

The very first name I had was River (after River Tam, from the tv show Firefly and the movie Serenity), but not a lot of custies got the sci-fi reference. When they'd ask where I got my name from, I'd explain about Firefly and they'd give me a blank look.

The second, and my personal favorite, was Hazel. I still use it, in fact. I realize Hazel is kind of an outdated name, but one of the webcomics I read - Girls With Slingshots - has a tall redheaded writing nympho as its main character...and who do you think that describes to a t?

I held Summer briefly, but it never really sat well with me.

Iv been Jezzebelle the whole time and it was fun 5 years years ago. But I think Im too old for such a name now, plus I dont like it anymore, so may change to Alex when I go back.
As Alexah is my middle name anyway.

When I first started dancing I went by Kelly. I had always thought Kelly Kopowski from Saved By The Bell was hot.

When I turned 21 and started dancing in the topless clubs I changed it to Chloe. Like the Bratz dolls....lol

When I started at a bigger more upscale club I went by Riley. I just liked it. :)

I went by Emmi for awhile at another club.

After I had my son and started dancing again I decided to pick a name and stick with it. I chose Avery because at the time, it was unique. Now I hear it everywhere. :/

I have been Bridgette for a long time, because I think it suits me.

But at the current club I'm Jessica - there's already a Bridget. When I went to audition, I put my dress on and housemom said "you look like Jessica Rabbit. you'll be Jessica" and that was that. heh

I agree "Jessica Rabbit" wow that is fitting!!

The Contessa
03-09-2011, 09:09 PM
Vika! Everyone says it "vEE-kah", when it's "Vih-ka", but I forgive them. One of the DJs calls me Mika in an attempt to get me to change it. Ay ay ay. I wanted to go by "Contessa" but I've done too much online crap using this name, I'd be so easily found.

I'm Scarlett! I kinda chose it on a whim, I was trying to decide between a few names but just picked that one when I was asked. It works well because I have super pale skin and I'm the only girl that wears blood red lipstick-and I have fairly plump lips. I also wore red patent shoes today and a red sheer robe from Fredericks (I loooooove Fredericks!!) and everyone loved it. It definitely fits my old hollywood glamour look.

Mindy, I think you would be a good Reann.

Thank you! ;D It's a combination of my first and middle names.

I figure if someone asks me if it's my real name I can say that my parents could decide between the two names so they chose them both. And plus it's a derivative of Rhiannon.

Come to think of it, Reann is actually the exact same name as a childhood friend of mine.

I was also flirting with Danielle since it's a female version of my brother's name.

One of my stage names is Joni, like Joni Mitchell. I picked that name because I like 70's music and my actual name also starts with the letter "J". I have a thing for "J" names.

My stage name is Lauren. It wasn't my first choice -- I wanted to be Alex or Lexi because it's the name of one of the guys in my favorite band ;) but they were taken, and so was Lacey and anything that sounded remotely close. So at the last minute I settled on Lauren.

It grew on me. I really like it now, and it's so normal sounding that I'm hardly ever asked if it's my real name.

Mine is Madison after the movie Splash.

So Fine Divyne
03-12-2011, 05:32 AM
^when it's dead I wear my "I have to return some video tapes" hoodie and panties.

You are completely nuts! I bet most people don't even get the AP reference. My name is Divyne because after lying in bed for hours after deciding I was coming from behind the bar I wanted something that wouldn't categorize me before you saw me. Divyne is so fitting for me. When you hear it you have no idea what kind of girl is going to walk out and over the years I only ever met one other one and I nicknamed her Divyne Jr. They made me change my name for a week and I just told them I can't make $ like this. They decided to call me what the djs introduced me as "So Fine Divyne" and it stuck and the other girl was just Divyne. My current club only allows single names so I'm regular Divyne now and its boring. Especially since customers always say you are so fine and I just laugh.

I'm going by Roxie but will mostly introduce myself as Roxanna.. I think I like it better :D Chose it because I'm into numerology and these names are supposed to be enterprising/attract money.. I can get greedy

mine is simone ( big surprise lol), my mom wanted to name me that before i was born , at first it sounded unusual and french, but everyone says " yeah ok what's your reeeaaalll name?" and think its "samoan" so i want to change it to something more suited to me; short, cute, sexy tomboyish..like jamie, amy, madison.

i didn't think simone is that exotic, funny people still question you Lol

When I first started it was Kandi (extremely cheesy and strippery) then after I had been dancing a while and changed clubs I changed it to Aries. I figured new club/new name. Aries is my sign.

i didn't think it was either, i think it just doesn't fit me..either that or they are a bunch of hicks

Odette

I chose Serena. Because Sailor Moon was favourite childhood superhero and I think strippers are kind of like superheros, we save cranky guys from their shitty, shitty days :)

02-20-2013, 04:31 PM
One of the VERY few times I did use a stage name, it was Odette! I had lONG black hair back then, like that I could sit on, and wore a lot of PVC and gothic princess kind of outfits-Odette fitted me I thought. But I'm shit at stage names. I use a different name on cam but my own name in the club.

02-21-2013, 01:30 PM
Same here... I go by Sasha because I wanted to pick a sexy name that could still be "normal." I almost went with Nikita, but there was already a Nikita. Claire is a great name though.

My first was Collette. I just thought it was unique in a sea of "typical" dancer names. One girl told me I should change it to Collect because I collect dudes money lol.

Now I'm going by Taboo. Mainly because of a Boondocks episode where a A Pimp Named Slickback introduced his bottom bitch to Tom and her name was Sweetest Taboo. And the name seems very appropriate, I love it. I'll probably ask DJ's to play that song for my first set, too.

Clementine417
03-02-2013, 03:21 AM
My stage name is Clementine. I picked it because I loove the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Kate Winslet's character's name is Clementine. I just think it's so pretty and unique. I love the name, but it gets me a lot of weird reactions. I hadn't thought about it when I first picked it (because I was just thinking of that movie), but it's kind of an old-timey- and southern-southern sounding name. It's also one of the only uncommon names at the club I work at in mid MO, so a lot of the guys think it's weird and they have SO much trouble remembering it. BUT I've had the name for almost two years now, and everyone seems to think it fits me really well now.

I'm going by Roxie but will mostly introduce myself as Roxanna.

I love the name Roxie! That's one of the names I considered when I first started.

I also really love the name Layla because of the Eric Clapton song. I actually tried changing my name to that for about a month at a point when I'd gotten really tired of all the confused reactions to Clementine, but it just didn't feel right. Every time I went to introduce myself I would almost say Clementine. It really feels like it's my real name sometimes!

I started with shavedsophie my 1st nite on the spot. it kind of evolved into SophieSmith, But i wish i would have used the porn star name method... name of your first pet for the 1st name, and the first street u lived on for the last name. I would have been Lucy Wells... =( too late to start over now lol.

I use my real name, because it makes shit so much simpler (for me).

DaniLee
03-03-2013, 09:08 PM
Dani. It was my best friends nickname in college.
Plus, when I get asked if/what's my real name I just laugh, shrug and respond with "I'm not very creative. It's just short for Danielle".

Odette
03-06-2013, 09:03 AM
Yeah, from swan lake! Lol my roomate suggested it yeeeeaaars ago when I was just debating trying out dancing and wanted to come up with a "classy" stage name haha...I've never actually used it! Perhaps time to try it out for a spin now...new hair, new name!

Lol, Clementine is really cute and makes me think of sweetness... I actually changed my name from Roxie to Morgan, some of the guys annoyed me by how they reacted and Morgan is one of my favorite names.. ah well haha

Lucy, because my whole schtick is pin-up and I like the classic, retro feel it gives me.

I constantly have custies giving me "I Love Lucy" and "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" references, but I always feel it makes me more memorable. Plus, no other girls in the club do pin-up or retro hair.

Mine is Samantha, because I was Samantha the first time around at the same club, and, after asking for several other names I wanted that were all taken, just went with the original. It seems to suit me... in fact, the manager named me Samantha the first time, and this time I asked the new manager if I should be Velvet, Skye, or Samantha... and he picked Samantha. So, there ya go.
But, if anybody asks, I'll whisper my "real" name... Jessica. But it'll cost 'em $20. ;)

Sahar
08-04-2013, 11:13 PM
My first stage name was Sahar, it was the name of one of my ex boyfriend's sister who is absolutely drop-dead beautiful. The exotic-ness of the name coupled with my dark hair and olive complexion always drew guys in but it got annoying correcting everyone that assumed it was Sarah or Sahara. When my nickname at the club became "SO HARD" I finally left the club and the name behind. I've been Mya, Moon, Fetish (which I loved), and now I'm currently Indie, but again, "No, not Mindy, INDIE. Indiana Jones? Indy 500?"

I'm Mexican but look middle eastern. My first stage name ever was Jazmin. Guys would swoon as soon as I told them so it fit me well. Started at a new club last week and Jazmin was taken :( so I made a quick decision and chose Angel. When guys ask what my real name is I say Angel is my middle name (it's not) and that I've always gone by that.

I even gave myself a fake real name. My fake story is that I hate it, but if they bother me enough I tell them it's Esperanza. That usually shuts them up.

KittyKush
02-24-2014, 03:11 PM
I used my real name for the longest time at my old club (Sophie) but when I switched clubs I started using the name that I cam/model/etc under (Kitty) to make my life easier aha. (Plus then I have the excuse to carry my Hello Kitty purse and wear HK bikinis too!) I get a lot of "Heeelllloooooo, Kitty!" greetings from cuties, lmao.
