Selina M

Mine was Selina after Selina Kyle from Batman.
I don't feel like it anymore (Selina seems too nice almost) so I'm changing it to Harley.

I go by Charlie and tell people who bug me about my "real name" that it's short for Charlotte. I do a French/New Orleans thing for my shtick which is loosely based on real life. I've got a fake "real" last name too.

I would have been Hero Blackwell, which actually sounds pretty slick!
I started with shavedsophie my 1st nite on the spot. it kind of evolved into SophieSmith, But i wish i would have used the porn star name method... name of your first pet for the 1st name, and the first street u lived on for the last name. I would have been Lucy Wells... =( too late to start over now lol.
My stage name is Blair (and I'm part Irish, ergo my tacky user name, lol) ... I went by Blair because my first name is Clare and when I first started dancing I wanted a name to which I'd respond ... I was afraid that if I went by Chastity or Layla or whatnot that I wouldn't ever make stage, lol! IRL though I've always gone by my middle name, so ironically my fake real name is Clare as well. Makes it an easy explanation when customers ask.

I'm going by Cat because I'm a redhead and "redheads are descended from cats," haha. Plus I look completely Irish, so when asked for my real name, I'll say Cat's short for Catherine (last name O'Neill if they ask). Not to exciting, but I like it, it fits with my persona, and it creates a believable story.

Newbie here. My stage name is Amaya. When I chose it I thought I was clever and had made it up (it was an altered version of one of the Sailor Scouts' names in the Japanese version of Sailor Moon). Turns out its not only a real Japanese name, but I was told it means "beautiful" in Hindi....or something. I could be wrong about that. In Japanese it means "the night rain" which is appropriate for a stripper I think. Lol! Now I can't imagine a different stage name; I've really grown into my alterego I think.

My stage name is Mya. Lol i picked it because I love the singer mya. She has so much sex appeal compared to me who has none in real life. When I go to work as mya I feel sexy because I relate the name to sexiness haha. I love it!

My current stage name is Ashley because I worked at a club where I was one of the only white blonde girls so the DJ thought a typical white girl name would be the best. That was a year or so ago and I've stuck with that.. somehow it's been available at every club since then! I think it suits me too.. it's turned into my stripper alter ego ;)

My other stage name is Tits McGee. I think it's pretty self explanatory. ::)

My first name was Volta, after the Mars Volta. Everyone thought it was Bolta. I changed it pretty quickly when one of the girls in the dressing room said I should go by Phoenix. I ended up hating it, though, because so many fucking customers thought my name was Penis.
I started at a new club as Ivy. I stayed there two shifts.
Went to another club and changed to Brody. (Brody Dalle of the Distillers) I kept that for a while.
I took time off stripping and went to webcamming and changed to Bonnie (Bonnie Vagabond) which I am now and probably will be for a while. Haven't gotten tired of it, and even if customers think I've said Ronnie or Bobbie neither of those are that bad so I don't care. I like my name now; it really suits me.
As a sidenote, Lexi Conn is going to be my burlesque name when I make that transition.

I was the original poster of this thread! I haven't been on in about 7 years and since then I have changed my name. It is now Aristta which is άριστα meaning "best" in Greek. Its a play on my original username tiffthebest. Its nice to see this thread still going strong ;D

When I first started my dancer name was 'Scarlet' because I had like neon orange hair with red streaks. As soon as I dyed my hair a darker color, the name just didn't fit and I felt like it didn't really fit my personality. When I changed clubs, I changed it to Skye and stuck with that (it's my real name, but everyone assumes it's fake). I have stuck with that name at my current club for almost two years.
When I dance at other clubs, either in town or out of town, I usually dance by Salem (a city I want to visit where a good friend of mine currently lives) or Ramona (after Ramona Flowers, because everyone seems to like that pixie manic dream girl bs). Either way, they're easy for me to remember and the custies seem to like them.

I am Felicia wolf because I actually knew someone by that name and she was a bitch but was pretty sexy so I don't know it stuck with me lol.

I knew a lot of redhead "facts" but not this one! I'm a redhead (strawberry blonde) and my real name is Catherine and I go by Cat.

I don't want to out myself but I noticed my favorite dance name referred back to 3 things that were very precious to me in life.
My first dance name was the name of my Godmother, lol...
ValentinaSF

Valentina. My house mom helped me pick it because I had the name Trixie Valentine before (when I originally auditioned at a place that used two names for all their girls), and there was already a girl named Trixie at my current club. She suggested Valentina because it sounds exotic.
I do get the "what's your real name" a LOT though. *eye roll*

I first picked the name Cleo because it was like cleopatra, and I thought of myself as very tanned with gold jewellery and long hair... Like cleopatra queen of the Nile. But then everyone at the club kept calling me 'Chloe' so I just stuck with Chloe. I've changed my name a few times over the years, but I like Chloe best. It's not too stripperish and it's a cool name. My really name is more stripperish

My stage name is Daisy because I originally wanted the name Rose (like from Titanic) but it was taken.

My stage name is Minx. I acquired the nickname through raving at first, but I got attached to that name quickly and have ever since used it for screen names online. I think I knew right away that I was either going to be "Minx" or "Kitty". Since kitty is the stereotypical stripper name, I chose Minx. I think it works quite well. The customers quite like the name and it has some sexy flair to it.

Fiona- I'm Irish, and dig Fiona Apple. A lot of people apparently associate it with the character from Shrek... I had no idea that movie was so pervasive or that people knew so few Fionas!

Delilah. I dont know why i picked it, but i hate it. At lest once a night i have someone asking " whats it like in new york city?"
The only reason why i haven't changed it, is because it fits me really well.

Hazel because I wear purple circle lenses when i dance so a customer started calling me Purple Haze. I didn't know it was a weed strain at the time so I just went with it. I go by Purp Haze at urban clubs

My name is Honey cause of my skin complexion and the fact that I always have honey blonde or honey brown extensions/wigs in my hair :)

Star because I am a nerd lol
I also have a fake "real" name.

Ariel, mostly because it's memorable when combined with my red hair, but also because it's one of my favourite Shakespeare characters.

Dahlia.
The first true crime story I read about was Elizabeth Short when I was 14 doing research on the 40's for a history project. My fiancé and I had an old friend who nicknamed me Dahlia after he saw me read about the crime. He even write a song for me he named Dahlia. Although we are no longer friends with him, the nickname stuck.
Cheesy, huh. Lol

My dancer name is Nakita, it's my best friends name so nothing too exciting :)
Aurora2
02-23-2016, 05:46 PM
I go by Alison now, and have no good reason for it. I used to go by Aurora, because I lived in Alaska for a year and thought the Aurora Borealis were beautiful and it was a somewhat unique name, but when I started dancing again it didn't feel right anymore. I wanted Alexis but it was taken and had to come up with something on the spot, and apparently I have a thing for stage names that start with A, so I used Alison. I think most customers just assume it's my real name too, which eliminates that question and dilemma.

I was just wondering if anyone had a interesting story to why they picked their stage name. Mine is Aphrodite because I love Greek mythology and Aphrodite is the goddess of passion and love.
I picked mine because I think I heard a pornstar had that name, dark hair kind of exotic looking. I look nothing like her but names like tara just seemed sexy to me. And I have to have a sexy name so I can get in the right mindset to sell the illusion of sex lol

Wendy why? because that's my name ..... never had a stripper name ....
samanthamx

I picked Samantha because is the name of a girl I hated and she had the same family name I have, so I can call her "Samantha the stripper" with evidence.

Sammy
"What's your REAL name?"
"Samantha."
"Oh, okay"
It deflects that question well and when I was in elementary school playing "house" with my friends, I always chose Sammy.
When I first started when I was 18 I picked the name Shy because I thought it was ironic but also cute. Guys didn't understand it, and I got called Sky or Kai a lot. When people would ask what my real name was I would say Anna. I decided to just switch to Anna because it's a real name and it's easy to remember. I do get called Hannah a bit but I've committed to Anna now and have Anna necklaces

When I started dancing I was barely 19. I couldn't think of a stage name. The family owned club I had auditioned at asked the patrons to put name suggestions in a hat, passed it around, then they all voted. The names voted on were Trisha, Athena, Destiny, Katie, and Tiffany. Tiffany won by a huge applause and I kept it ever since (1992). I have moved all over to so many clubs that I just kept the name so customers could find me more easily. Plus I was in Unveiled a lot so if I changed my name and went to a nearby club it would just be confusing and dumb IMO.

Don't laugh, but... Innocent. My first dancer name was Innocent. I chose that because I guess I'm not really a girl who belongs in the club because I'm too naive. Gullible. So I chose that name. It got good laughs, though.
As for my new name, I chose Lightning. I chose that name because she's my favorite video game character.
Melrose Del Rio

I'm not a stripper but I got my name cuz that's where I WS when I had to make my decision. Vanessa Del Rio was one of my fav stars but I'm thinking about changing it. Getting tired of being asked my real name

Mine is Nikki.
Wish I had a better backstory, but I was a little tipsy my fist night & had been going through a phase of listening to "The Dream" in excess.
The DJ asked what my name was, and I blurted out "Nikki! ...like from the Dream!"
Apparently, I look like a Nikki though? so, yay for me.

Growing up i got nicknamed pocky cos i was small like a pocket rocket and used to ride peewee 50 motor bikes and hanged with a graffiti crew called poc so decided to just use my nickname i found out after its a Japanese candy and its different so a good conversation starter hard to forget too :)

My first stage name was Mishki. It actually was a nickname i was given in highschool.
I then changed it to ashley because i had too many people asking me what my real name was and it just got overly annoying.
Then i went from ashley to danielle. Ashley just felt like it wasnt ME.
I chose danielle because honestly, it was a name of a childhood friend that i adored but lost contact with and cant find.
weird i know but i kind of miss her lol.

My stage name is a name that many people have said "You look like a <name>" to me in my personal life or called me by accident when they forgot my real name. So, in other words, my stage name is such a real name that it apparently fits me better than my actual name. :D

The first club I worked at said I looked like an Ashley pretty much for the same reason. He said "you look like an Ashley. Kinda ditzy looking". My friend was like "That because she is...only not all that ditzy".

I go by Ginger Volkov. Although I don't use the last name when I'm being called to the stage, I wanted to make a full name to make it believable and to help keep my real name from being questioned. I go by Ginger because I figured it was a good redhead stripper name. Lol. Volkov is a Russian-Jewish last name. The owner of the club I worked told me pick something that matched my heritage and personality I was going for. Volkov is also a spy name, which felt kind of sexy.

I had to scroll back a ways too to see if I had answered this thread. I started off with Jade, because it was the stage name of another dancer that I knew.
Then, I switched clubs and there was already a jade- plus I didn't really like it anymore anyway. I wanted something else with a "J" or "G" sound and was obsessed with the Gia Carangi story, she was a little crazy and wild and her personality really resonated with me. I also was not blonde at the time. But then I kept the name. I feel like it's more of an Italian-American name but to me it is obvious I am not a natural blonde so I still think it works.
I know italians can be naturally blonde, I just mean it is not a Barbie blonde type of name IMO.

Marlena. I've never heard of anyone else with the same stage name, and it makes me feel all "old money" and classy.
