Oh I love central park, only thing more is the whimsical inspiration instigated by person whom introduced it to me.

I am all for ANYTHING, But we ALL have to put in our opinions if we're going to find a happy medium. CE is already offered to pay for the drinks in the lounge, I don't want to get all anal and say everyone bring this this this...

But let me tell you Miss Jade, there is much beauty and romanticism in the backstreet shops of china town as there is fun and entertainment at the big tv thing that the parades go down... :)

So again, lets ALL chip in on places to top the night off after dinner, we got time, and I think with CE, you, Vyanka, Miss White, and the Dubious Angel, we can come up with good things.

Miss Jade, you do agree with the tree right?

Well right now this falls in on a Saturday, dunno if that's a plan on the other two nights...

and why is Masty coming with all sorts of attached inanimate object associations these days.

If what you and cally are doing is an opportunity for sat, SHARE!

Otherwise, I find fun in everything but miss jade, the time frames, what can we do in the evening hours on sat!? any ideas? (are museums open that late? can we bring a smeats-like bridge to nyc?!) IDEAS PEOPLE.

OK Mast....dubious indeed. You'll be an hour away from me, so count me in. I am no longer the Dubious Angel...I'm the Definite Angel!

But seriously, I'm up for anything and I've already informed Brad that I will be MIA for part of the weekend.

I really don't care as long as it involves FOOD and ALCOHOL! So I'm up for dim sum and then meandering through China Town and just going with the flow from there.

Oh and LJ, you don't need to make me any cookies. I'm not supposed to have sugar and I'll be saving all my carbs for my meal and drinks.

WE HAVE 2 VOTES FOR DIM SUM AND MEANDERING! thoughts? anyone?

Minette
05-07-2007, 05:57 PM
Like Mast said - Chinatown is a great place to toddle around and an awesome place for dinners - you can get good stuff for cheap. Although, if people were going to have dim sum early in the day that might be a little much. If not - there's some great nighttime dim sum places in Chinatown as well. There's also the Ice Cream Factory, which is awesome.

edit: Well, the dim sum got mentioned already, so just make that three votes.

*Gets down on one knee*

Will, you please, tell people you'd marry me if you weren't a VAGINA LOVING HARLOT!

Minette

Hey people, if I wasn't a vaginal-loving harlot, I'd marry Mast. ;D

Hey people, if I wasn't a vaginal-loving harlot, I'd marry Mast.

But you're too funny to hate.

You realize sooooo many guys are missing out.

It's hard finding a girl who has wit like yours and can take that to the bedroom.

You NEED to find an equally witty girl, dress her up like xander (you'd do an amazing cordy) and re-enact the sexual tension arguments....

sooooo funny.

Ok here's what we've got thus far:

Lounge - dinner 4 - 9

Nightlife - 9 till X ?
(Dim Sum seems to be a big hit and walking around chinatown)

Lets fill times!

That sounds good LJ. Boy I hope we get good weather. Nothing like spring in the city.

Minette

Personally, I vote for dim sum for dinner, but I'm admittedly biased since I don't know what time I'd be able to make it down by on Saturday. It's a great buffer for drinking though, mind you. }:D I mean, I assume there'd be more drinking after dinner, right?

You guys made me spit soda out all over my laptop!!

Btw, if you're gonna feel me on Thursday, boy might want to take pictures! ;D

No way!!! He and Brad get to talk "man" stuff and I'm taking you in the dimmest corner and feeling you there!!!

Boys = Yukky:D

RoseWhite
05-07-2007, 06:55 PM
RW, you're going???? Now I definitely will be there! Woo Hoo!!!

Yes indeed, and psyched that you're in the mix as well as all the other lovelies. You, me, and a jukebox in some East Village bar. At some point. (And anyone else who cares to participate in this leg of the trip.) We shall drunkenly caterwaul Social D. till they toss us out!

As to other items on the itinerary, I know Chicago Editor doesn't want to post the location of his W publicly, but if we did know, it might be easier to figure out what would be the easiest from there. I mean, I know what you're saying re: PMing the location, but there'll be a lot of people you need to get that info to. Just seems like an unnecessary chore. Could we at least get a neighborhood?

Like, if it's the Union Square W, then we could easily stumble into the East Village. Just an example. I am in no way trying to manuever the whole crowd into Ace Bar just 'cuz *I* have fond memories . . . no really . . . Or if it's near Greenwich, then we can all have ice cream 'baked potatoes' for dessert at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame (one of my faves when I lived in the city) AND get our drink on there. They have a decent back room for groups. Just examples.

We could also factor in where we want to end up - are we topping it off with a SC visit? Which one? Anyone from here working that night that we should go lavish with money and rockstar attention?

*pictures a certain adorable banjo-strumming pied piper leading a parade of hot babes, East side, West side, all around the town*

Speaking of - Minette, I'm PMing or chatting you up in a sec here re: complexities, shall we say, of transport.

DylanAngel

LJ, did you see Rose's post above? Another singer in our midst!!!!!

Be forewarned people....LJ sings opera when she drinks!

RoseWhite
05-07-2007, 07:08 PM
^^I believe I said "caterwauling", to be fair. I don't want to get anyone's expectations up. ;D

Hey, I think the idea of folks doing dim sum & shopping as a lunch/afternoon activity is good. Then convene at the classified W lounge?

Well, I define my caterwauling as singing! And nobody in that big city's gonna tell me different!:P

You make a good point. Besides, sounds like you know all the hot spots.

It is the W on Lexington at, I think, 57th.

Let the planning begin.

RoseWhite
05-07-2007, 07:20 PM
Lady Jade, I will join you in the Flower Duet from Lakme if I'm soused enough (alto part pleez). *cue hot lesbo sex scene from "The Hunger", y'all* Or we could have a Queen of the Night shriek-off!

Hey, 57/Lex - that's gonna be close to Scores! Good info for all - anyone work there? Anyone?

Mastridonicus
05-07-2007, 07:24 PM
Well now that Miss White is in the planning, I will simply take notes and keep us on track. This Rose incapable of wilting will aid in the planning.

So what's our itinerary?

We need to plan for a meet and greet, dinner, and afterhours (as was agreed), Meet and Greet, so far is at 57th and Lexington, is this good?

Yeah, umm, I'm gonna sit that one out, lol!

I was kinda hoping on a nice round of "Ball and Chain", but seems like RW and LJ got the shriekfest covered.

Minette

There has, for sure, got to be karaoke. I want to see all the caterwauling, screeching, and singing. My camera has video function. }:D

DylanAngel
05-07-2007, 07:26 PM
And we have to do "Hey Mickey" because... well, because I *always* do "Hey Mickey"!

Fine...I'm gonna do my Patsy Cline whining and whooping then!

DylanAngel

I much prefer "Friends in MY Low Places" and "Get Drunk and Be ON Somebody'!

That's funny, some weird lady nearly pulled me (I mean VIOLENTLY) off my stool at an Irish Bar where some guys was dancing to "Thriller" . . . HEY! Where were you on the night of December 15th?!? *swinging bare lightbulb*

Oh Dylan, "Ball and Chain" is so top of the list. Honky Tonk Mike Ness solo version OR original. And Minette? Film WILL be confiscated.

Ah, Village Karaoke could be good! I'm also unsure of its status now . . .

DylanAngel
05-07-2007, 07:44 PM

Chicagoeditor

If the, umm, action is downtown--Chinatown and the Village--just tell me where to show up. This might be easier than having the whole group travel uptown to me.

I land in the late afteroon on Saturday.

DylanAngel
05-07-2007, 07:49 PM
Haha But it's *Mast*... he's not a boy! He's... well... he's MastyPoo! :D

RoseWhite
05-07-2007, 09:04 PM
Yes indeed, the Fest is ON! Viva Las . . . uh, Nueva Yorkas!

So Cally, what's YOUR karaoke song gonna be? I vote "Fire Woman"! And can you bring your fireplay gear on a plane? Pretty pleeeze? If not, I do have a torch you can borrow (seriously). Assuming I can smuggle it onto the train.

"Fiiiiyaa-aaa-aahuh. . smoke she is a risin' . . . Fiyaahhh, smoke on the horizon, yeah!"

OK RECRUITS. What have we got?!? I have to go sleepy soon and cuddle my pillow, and Ted E.. So lets get somewhere here

Where is meet and greets?

Where is Dinner?

Where is after hours?

Cally
05-07-2007, 09:32 PM
After hours is in your room mast :P

*Picks at the piece of corn on his right side he keeps telling everyone is a mole*

Cally
05-07-2007, 09:33 PM
Well, MastyIt... I'm waiting to hear from Cally if her boy is coming as that will sort of affect our little thing we have to go take care of... but I figure anyone who's up for dim sum should meet somewhere in Chinatown around 11...

11am? *blink* woman.. I am a stripper... think about this....

Mastridonicus
05-07-2007, 09:33 PM
WAIT. Miss jaderific. Are we looking am or pm?

RoseWhite

OK RECRUITS. What have we got?!? I have to go sleepy soon and cuddle my pillow, and My teddy. So lets get somewhere here

Where is meet and greets?

Where is Dinner?

Where is after hours?

I say we still try and meet at W for cocktails for evening meet & greet (I know others there earlier may do dim sum and Chinatown shopping). Sixish? Seven?

That's the only specific I got. I'm open to anything for food, and I vote for Village (East or West) wandering for bar fun. I'm fine taking someone's recommend for dinner/bars OR with playing dinner/bars by ear somewhat. What I want to know is whether we get to hit SC, and if Scores Eastside is the one. It IS awfully convenient to CE's hotel.
